They request a 48 hour advance notice for oil deliveries but I generally always receive my delivery the next day if not the same. Unfortunately I ran out of oil last night around 8:00pm. It was 10 degrees. Initially I was not aware that Skylands offered emergency service so I searched the web calling several local companies I am familiar with, some of which I have used in the past. I was lucky to get only three that actually answered their phone and these are companies who advertise emergency service. Two of them told me they could not help me since I am not an existing customer! Totally unacceptable in my opinion. I then found an emergency phone number for Skylands. I was told a technician would call me within the hour. I got the call within 15 minutes. The technician arrived at my home and had us back up and running by 10:00pm. I called the following morning at 7:00am to order an oil delivery. I was told that they would do their best to get to us that day. The woman expalinded they were backed up due to weather and were short staffed due to illnesses. I was still confident due to my past experience that I would receive a delivery that same day.
