--Untrustworthy Company Who Refuses to Take Responsibility and Has ZERO Customer Service-- I hired Valairco to repair my HVAC's ductwork as my air return makes a loud noise. The company believed that the noise was caused by having the intake too close to the motor and offered to replace my air return duct for $2,700 (see picture). Their plan was to extend the duct and do a 180degree turn so that the air travels longer and thus can reduce the noise. I trusted them and agreed the plan due to good reviews online, a decision which I deeply regret now Although the motor noise was slightly reduced right after the installation, I started to hear slamming/banging noise whenever the HVAC was turned on/off and a high pitched noise when the system was running. Even as a non-HVAC professional, I know that this commonly indicates that the ductwork was badly designed and not properly sized to allow enough air to flow into the system. I can even visually see that the new sheet metal duct severely contracts due to lack of return air (see picture) when the system is on. I can also see small holes around connecting areas where new ducts connecting to the HVAC machine or intake vents as the crew didn't seal/insulate any of those after the installation I called the company trying to explained the issue and asked them to come fix it, but the owner (Kevin) refused and instead insisted that I pay for any additional work because he claimed that the issue was not their problem and arguing that they were just "trying to hele me" as my old system was not properly designed, despite the fact that they actually removed all the old ductwork and nothings prevents them from properly sizing the new system (e.g. open new air return vent etc.). In fact, I didn't even ask them to come redesign my whole system - I simply asked them to come seal the connecting points and open a new intake vent without major changes to give it another try. Eventually, I had to pay another $~350 to have the team come over again to do exactly that (using silicone sealing the connecting points and open another air intake on the duct (see picture)) so that the system has no leak and has proper air return volume so the HVAC is not starving for air. Even the crew was sympathetic when they left the first time and thought the repair should be included (but I guessed it was not their decision) Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. I called the company dozens of times and got ghosted multiple times during the whole process starting from scheduling the first visit to the last repair and as a result the whole process lasted 6+ months (November 2020 to May 2021). The callbacks promised by the lady answering the phone were rarely followed up if any. The owner was also extremely rude and threatened to not send the crew come again if I insisted that it was their design and quality of work that caused the new problem - he just religiously believed that my old system was 100% of the issue and he, instead, just did me a favor giving it a try while charging me ~$2,700 (or ~$4, 000 in total if you add the second visit and a $~750 attic fan/ventilator that sells for $75 on Amazon) I certainly understand that there was no guarantee that the repair would solve 100% of my issue, however I would expect any decent company to take pride in their work and follow through on issues that clearly fall on their court (in this case, leaked duct and undersized system) when facing a dissatisfied customer. I was wrong making that assumption when hiring Valairco I'm still having the high pitch noise issue coming from the new ductwork as of today but I won't get back to Valairco. Whoever is reading this, please don't make the same $4,000 mistake that I made.

We knew this going into the service call and I explained this to the call center. I wanted them to have the part on hand at arrival. They charged $178 and tax for a total of $186.59 to come out and wanted additional $403.04 to replace the capacitor. They went ahead and installed without permission. There was no application of the service call fee to the charge for the capacitor. I may have gone for the $403.84 straight up. Although even that is high. There was no explanation from the start that just showing up was $186.59; that any work done would be an additional above and beyond charge. Now keep in mind that the OEM Carrier Part costs at most $26-30 and this literally requires seconds to install once the panel is open. The entire service call should last 30 minutes and this includes the initially and follow up diagnostics to ensure the unit is running properly. I called three other local HVAC service companies and they quoted from $89-129 to come out to the house and all would apply that fee to the cost of the repair. They quoted $209 to $269 to replace the capacitor and do the follow up diagnostics to ensure the unit was running properly. So at most $269 plus tax. Not double the price of $590.43 with shady business practices and poor communication.

Always Comfy (Tom McNally), the name says it all they always make sure your home HVAC System is up and running, this a local service provider that really is there to help you with any HVAC issues. He came in when he said he will (on time) and will see what's the issue, explain what's the best solution for the issue and will not charge you arm and a leg for fixing it. He fixed the issue and then I asked him if we do a yearly service contract that will help us make sure that everything is running smoothly and also maintained properly. Then after he left our heating system worked fine for 2 days, he had already informed us that if this goes back we'll have to change a part that he had previously cleaned to make things work. After two days heating went back to working on and off, so I called Always Comfy and Tom said he will be there at the end of the days as we come home after work to fix it. It's was to our surprise he came to fix it just before he had to join his family for a dinner on his birthday. That's going above and beyond to make sure we had our home Always Comfy and we would recommend them over any big name in the area. Although everyone is in business to make profits, but Tom understands that he is not in business to make one time profit or long term business relationships which will grow s your referral will help him to make profits larger than spending money on advertising for months. Just a little synopsis before we had met Always Comfy (Tom McNally) what all we went through. It's been a while we had been looking for someone who can give us a second opinion for our house HVAC and we have been with AJP for 6 years and now they had been suggesting that our furnace is not performing at optimum we should go for High-Efficiency systems that will help us with our home heating & cooling and reduce our electric & gas bill. We called few guys and they all wanted money before suggesting anything to even come in, one guy comes in and tell that there is some wiring issues with our system and that can be fixed for a material cost of $250-300 and when I asked him what's the issue he said you need to pay me $99 for coming to my place and $100 for consultation before he can utter a word. I said since it's too cold and my heating system was acting up so I said "we would certainly like this to be fixed, please explain what the issue is". He said let me make some calls and he went out came back and closed the system and walked out without anything done what so ever.

If you are looking for a plumber these are absolutely your guys…read more This is coming from a person who never takes the time to review a company. Yesterday afternoon I reached out to Copperhead just to see if they were working with everything going on. They were and asked extremely professional questions in regards to anyone in the household being sick and if I could stay in the other room as they work, great to see they care. I then was promptly scheduled for this afternoon. Fortunately they called me this morning to let me know someone had cancelled and they could move me up to this morning. They came in at 8:45 and were out in less than 45 minutes. I can not say enough how much appreciated the very prompt, professional, and fairly price service of this company. Thank you so much and I will be recommending you to anyone I can in the area.

TRUST ME - STAY AWAY!! As other customers here wrote, I too wish I had read all the negative…read morereviews about this business, but I was unaware that Tom, the previous owner of Copperhead sold to new owners who are a *NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH!!* I typically never right a bad review, on the contrary, I'm the one who writes the best and most positive reviews, because I believe people and businesses deserve great recognition and great reviews when warranted. However unfortunately this is NOT the case with the new owner(s) who took over Copperhead Plumbing. I spoke with a Dan, and then realized what everyone else was saying, how the new owner(s) completely destroyed the great reputation Tom built before he retired. I had called a Dan to discuss the repair needed for our boiler. We have 3 zones at home, and the upstairs heat zone to the bedrooms was not working, and my husband tried to change the valve, but had trouble rewiring it although he's an electrical engineer, he felt it better to call the plumber because he needed them to rewire it correctly. Note: The two zones downstairs were working great! Two very young techs came at 8:30 am and 3 hours later were still by the boiler trying to as they said "trying to figure it out". We asked them to not touch the valves or wires for the two other zones as they worked perfectly. I was at work and husband home occasionally checking for any updates from these two young men, and eventually became very worried and concerned with no answers on what was going on. I called the office trying to get an answer on why they were still there 3 hours later, "trying to figure it out" for repairing the ONE ZONE in order to get heat to the 2nd floor bedrooms. I spoke to Dan about our concerns and he rudely and abruptly was raising his voice, and told me "your husband broke the boiler" and it will cost you close to $3,000 for repairs and parts. Plus $300 for the service call today. Needless to say I thought to myself "What kind of company and employees have taken over Copperhead? I don't need to be talked down to this way" This is appalling, unprofessional, and unacceptable to be spoken to and falsely accusing a customer this way, just to *cover his young inexperienced or not well trained technicians*, who apparently seem they were the ones who BROKE OUR BOILER while poking around there for 3 full hours, and now expecting us to pay $3,000 to fix the damage that occurred while they were there!! I once again reminded Dan, that we had HEAT DOWNSTAIRS before the techs arrived, and before they left charged us $300, and after they left, later in the evening we discovered *WE HAD NO HEAT, AND OUR FAMILY PRACTICALLY FROZE* from the cold. Dan and techs was aware I had an elderly mom with Alzheimer's and young grandchildren, (one a baby) in our home - unforgivable!! I gave Dan an opportunity to redeem himself and the business, asking him to send us a more experienced technician the next day (Sat.) and he said he was going to charge us an *Emergency Visit*, in addition to the $200 we paid him the previous day! This was his opportunity to make good, and take care of the damage and frustration our family all went through by leaving us with no heat even downstairs where we had heat before the techs came to our home, and then NO HEAT we discovered after they left. The two zones downstairs which were working when those young techs walked in, was no longer working when they walked out. Not difficult to see whose at fault and why we suddenly had no heat after techs were "trying to figure it out!"
