Chicken sub and salad

Such a fun reuse of space - an elementary school turned food hall. Bristol brewing has a wide selection of craft beers. I went with the nitro, which is a dark beer like Guinness. They offer 12 ounce pours, which is nice when you want a smaller serving. there is a healthier eatery that serves salads and sandwiches. The homemade Greek dressing was delicious. The sandwiches are large in size but mostly large bread - Id ask for double meat next time.

The bbq bacon burger was good. All of the ingredients worked well together. The green chili sounded interesting but was pretty bland. I'd def order the burger again.

After a specialty cocktail at the Principal's Office and a huge salad at Salad or Bust, the next stop for me was Ivywild Kitchen for a Mushroom and Swiss burger with Onion rings! Perfect flavors combined to finish the meal! Jeremy at the counter was friendly, proficient and personable. The counter style ordering makes it casual and fun. Pretty quickly, I received the text to come and get it. Extra steps for me!! I will return again to get my reward poring for future birthday treats and discounts.

So my wife and I are new to CO Springs and getting to know the area. While researching fun places to eat this popped up! It was a neat experience to have lunch in an old school, and we enjoyed the food and service. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries which I give a 4/5. The potato bun was just a little much but the filet and the fries were very good. My wife got the barbecue chicken pizza which was pretty good! Their pizza style is Detroit style, so think deeper dish. Also 4/5. They messed up her order so they ended up giving her a whole pizza (pictured) instead of half and gave her an order of garlic bread (3/5). Very generous of them to do. The food is a little overpriced, but honestly, worth it for such a neat experience! Be sure to stop into the gift shop while you wait for food! Such a fun little store.

WANT TO WAIT 25 minutes and SPEND $30.00, yes $30 ON 1x basket of FREEZER MEDIOCRE fries and 4x TINY A$$ CHICKEN TENDERS? And they expect a tip? THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! And for the last and final time, yet again, they didn't text me when my food was ready. 1/10 . You can get much larger and cheaper yet just as delicious chicken at: Raising canes Chick fil a POPEYES! Any fast food place That sells chicken. I was too nice I guess. Should've asked for refund. BURGERS are tiny, not a bang for the buck. Total disrespect for the ivywild kitchen absolute nonsense there

The chicken tenders are as big as my finger.

underwhelmed and over priced. We ordered the chicken tenders and blue burger, which I had to place on the app. I then picked it up from the window myself and cleaned up after myself. least impressive meal I've had here period.

Salad or Bust at Ivywild School was exactly what I needed after a hot day. I went for the Salmon Zing, and it was great! The lemon vinaigrette was delicious I just wish it came with more. The salad came with 3 pieces of pickled green beans not pictured because I literally ate them right up before I remembered to take the photo. I opted out for capers and tomatoes which was nice that I could make changes, and I would definitely order it again.

Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

Once mixed together, the yolk coats everything into a delicious fresh dense bowl that's deeply satisfying without feeling too heavy. The crispy calamari was a great, light, crunchy meal. The octupus pieces were thick and paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The breading wasn't distracting but rather adding to the flavor. The thai chili salmon plate was bright and fresh, with a nice balance of glaze, greens, and noodles. Overall, higher quality for lower price. We will be returning. Cocktails were just as thoughtful as the food -- vibrant, fruity, sweet, and beautifully presented. If you come here, order the Seoul Bowl. Shuga's Favorite Cafe Tray is an order that could satisfy one's entire meal but is best when shared as a starter or if you are looking for a light meal. The Mediterranean selection with the hummus and tapenade is amazing with the coconut shrimp soup being a must try with its creamy and spiciness. Though I love the almond butter cake the most to add a little dessert to the meal. The Madame of the Pletzl is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel is perfectly salted and has a wonderful crunch the sandwich needs. The egg melts into the sandwich, mixing with everything it needs to. The ham is fried up to crisp it up a bit but the ham seems to be lacking flavor wise compared to everything else in the sandwich. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich also is an amazing sandwich. The pork shoulder is crisped up nicely and works so well with everything else. The winter soup was a tomato soup with some grilled cheese croutons and it is the best tomato soup I've ever had. The tomato soup isn't puréed, there are noticeable definitions in the tomatoes in the soup. The soup isn't too acidic which is the usual issue in tomato soups. The croutons really amplify this dish on to another level and I just wish there were more in my soup. I can't wait to come back here and my biggest issue will to try and order new things.

First off, the interior is really fun and interesting. I sat at the bar. The selection of small batch locally made beer was impressive. I ended up getting an orange blossom beer that was suggested by the bartender. So good!! I wasn't very hungry so they let me order the child's plate and I got brisket. The server suggested I try the red beans and rice. I was a little skeptical because I've spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and had some of the best. I was so impressed, I almost wished that I had just ordered a bowl of beans and rice. The brisket was really tender as well. Very friendly service and food appeared in minutes after I ordered. The smell of smoked meat hit me the second I stepped inside, and I knew I was in for a good time. I grabbed a seat on the patio, where string lights twinkled and a local band was warming up. The brisket came out tender with a perfect bark, and the pulled pork melted like it had something to prove. The burnt ends were the real show-off, though--crispy, smoky little bites of joy. Even the sides had personality, especially the spicy slaw that snuck up on me. Service was friendly and easygoing, like everyone there was happy just to be surrounded by barbecue and good vibes. Parking was a little tight, and there was a short wait, but between the music and the beer list, I didn't mind a bit. It wasn't flawless, but it was flavorful, fun, and full of character--just the kind of place that makes you want to kick back, loosen your belt, and stay a while. Solid four stars and a full stomach to prove it.
