However, I'd waited a while to get into see this doctor regarding some health issues. But, this woman was cold. And no amount of smiling or attempt at conversation lifted her mood. She was like a robot and made me, and my friend, feel uncomfortable. When I asked a question, she simply stood up, and walked out of the room. I am not kidding. After waiting almost an hour -- it was possibly one of the worst doctor appointments that I've had. I thought that perhaps she was just having an off day. Upon reading more about her, I've read that I am not the only one who felt the same way. A shame, because she seems to be highly-educated, and I was hoping for a better outcome.

She has been supportive and helpful in my struggle to obtain disablitiy from the OPM. I was really disappointed that she decided to quit practicing medicine and start teaching at the VA but I guess I cannot blame her with the federal government creating more regulations. We were driving 2-3 hours to get to her office and they wouldn't even call to cancel. Then they always blame the patient for not being there. When I applied for disability, they wrote down I was improving even though I was getting worse because I hadn't been there in 6 months but this wasn't by choice, it was cancelled appointments and then they wouldn't reschedule in a timely manner. The office staff is incompetent. What really gets me though, is after being a patient of hers for about 8 years, we moved. At our last appointment, I asked her for a referral to a rheumatologist closer to us for my daughter and told her it would take about 6 months before she would get in. She said she was going to start her on Humera and would do the paperwork to get her started for her next appointment in a month. When I called to see if she had been approved for the Humera, they said they didn't even start the paperwork and since she will be changing doctors, the new doctor will have to do it. My daughter is hurting and now she will have to wait at least 6 more months before she can get new medications. Of course, they didn't bother to tell us this. They would have let us drive the 3 hours to her office, wait 2-3 more hours to be seen, only to be told they aren't doing anything because she is changing doctors. Maybe if she didn't schedule 10-15 people for the exact same time slot everyday she would have time to treat patients like people instead of $$$.

I had not been since last June and my prescriptions were running out. I called for an appointment and was given one but they called and cancelled it. I made another for 10:00 A.M., they called and asked me to come at 2:00 P.M. I drove all the way to her office, parked, signed in and had a seat expecting to wait. They called me up to desk and told me she was not coming in at all. I asked why I was not called. They shrugged their shoulders and said it was not their fault. As I was leaving my phone beeped with a voicemail!!! A couple of weeks later I called for refills, they said okay we will give this to the nurse. The next day the nurse called and said the doctor would not call them in unless I made an appointment and first available was in August. I told her about my cancellations and I would make the appointment for August if she would call in my med to last me until that time. She said hold on. When she returned, in an abrupt voice she said "you have not been here since last June" and I ask her whose fault was that. She said it did not matter, the doctor was not calling me in any meds unless she saw me, do you want the August appt. I said "NO" and hung up I was so angry. Now I must try to get my PC doctor to call in the meds but he does not want to because it is not his field. I must now try to find another Rheumatologist because I have Lupus and RA and am in constant pain. I don't think they were fair by not even asking the doctor, just assuming when it was not my fault that I could not see her because she had cancelled on me.

She's warm, caring, and practical, and her priority is to get you right as quickly as possible. While that sounds like what everyone in her field should be doing, she is truly exceptional. I have been seeing her for about 4 years now, and through that time, she has helped me with knee, foot, and hamstring injuries. I was first referred to Lendermon Sports Medicine by someone who Dr. Lendermon had been able to resolve help with a leg injury without surgery. She was able to do the same thing for me with a knee injury - a brace instead of the surgery recommended by a well-known local orthopedic firm. Since then, she has helped with a fractured foot, finding damage another doctor missed and helping to treat it appropriately, as well as hamstring issues. Each time, she is knowledgeable and genuinely caring. Sometimes the wait can be a little bit, as with all doctors, but she takes the time with each patient to make sure she gets it right. It is well worth it.

I visited Campbell Clinic in September due to severe, radiating hip pain. I initially saw a…read morephysician assistant who did not listen to my concerns or my long-standing history of low back pain. Despite my explanation, he diagnosed me with a hip infection and prescribed a 7-day course of high-dose steroids. I had to travel to Montana for a wedding shortly after and hoped the medication would provide relief, but it did not. When I returned 10 days later, I saw Dr. Brandon and explained that my symptoms had not improved. Once again, I emphasized my history of low back pain. I was given another 10 days of pain medication and told to return for a hip injection. During the hip injection appointment, Dr. Gilbert entered the room, administered the injection, and provided no explanation of the procedure or any post-injection instructions. His bedside manner was among the worst I have encountered, both as a patient and as someone with over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership. I had to initiate all questions, and his only response was, "Follow up with Dr. Brandon--I'm just here to give the shot." The injection provided no relief. I ultimately sought care at a private physical therapy practice, where I was properly evaluated and diagnosed with a compressed nerve in my lower back radiating into my hip. After eight weeks of physical therapy, my pain was completely resolved. I contacted Campbell Clinic to share my experience, explaining that I endured unnecessary pain, medications, and procedures due to a misdiagnosis and a failure to listen to my concerns. I was told my feedback would be shared with the providers. Despite this, I later began receiving bills for my visits. While my insurance had covered nearly everything, I contacted the clinic to request that the remaining $35 balance be written off given the circumstances. After four months of repeated calls and unreturned messages, a manager finally contacted me and stated that the physicians refused to write off the balance because they had "treated" me. I was shocked and deeply disappointed. This experience made it clear that patient concerns and quality of care take a back seat to billing and volume. I felt rushed, unheard, and treated like a number rather than a patient. If you are looking for a practice where you are listened to and where the root cause of your pain is addressed, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It is disheartening to see what community healthcare in our area has become
