I had also previously had a terrible experience with another doctor, among other things, and I had just about given up on being treated decently. In walks Dr. Christian and he immediately made me feel comfortable! I told him how I was feeling, and he listened. Dr. Christian went over my prognosis thoroughly and explained that I would need surgery. I was still pretty pissed off about how the OTHER doctor (if you want to call him that) had treated me, so I was not in a good headspace at all that day, but Dr. Christian understood that and made me feel so much better. He told me to let that experience go, to trust him, and I did. I DID have the surgery with Dr. Christian, and I must say everything went GREAT! It was also a very emotional day for me because my surgery day fell on the birthday of my dog that recently died, but the surgical staff understood that too, and helped dry my tears before I went into the surgery room. I would like to say I could not have asked for a better experience even if I wanted to. My post- surgical care has also been great. YES, ROTATOR CUFF SURGERY IS PAINFUL, and I HATE going to physical therapy!!!! There is no way around that, but my pain is being managed. I would recommend ANYONE who is facing rotator cuff surgery to Dr. Christian and the entire staff! By the way, I am a worker's compensation case, so please do not feel like you will be treated any less than if that's the case because I wasn't, and that's the TRUTH!!!!!!! It has been 19 months and to this day I have trouble walking, swelling, climbing steps, falling, etc. Dr. Ferguson was my surgeon and I would not recommend him. I was experiencing problems post surgery, but his assistant would not let me schedule with him. The physical therapist told me it sometimes takes a year for the swelling to go down. That is because the surgeon is not lible after a year. I have seen 3 orthopedic surgeons and they just say my knee is not infected and in place. I am not able to work like this anymore and will probably have to go on disability.

This morning my wife drove me to OrthoSouth in Bartlett for medical attention. However, I was denied care after being informed that the facility does not accept Tricare Prime as an insurance provider. When I asked if I could pay out-of-pocket, I was further informed that OrthoSouth only accepts payment through insurance and therefore could not provide treatment. I find it both appalling and deeply disrespectful that a medical institution would refuse care to a military retiree under these circumstances. In my view, every medical facility in the United States should accept the insurance provided to our veterans and military retirees. To deny service to those who have honorably served--many of whom depend on Tricare Prime--is unacceptable. In fact, staff at the front desk mentioned they had turned away another veteran earlier that same day. This experience left me with the clear impression that OrthoSouth prioritizes profit over patient care. To all military veterans and retirees: OrthoSouth is not a facility you will want to rely on for medical services. Their refusal to provide care is a disservice to the 1% of us who have dedicated our lives to serving our country.

I love the rehab/PT is next door to doctor's office. The facility is clean and the staff is wonderful. When you call they are nice and when you come in they are nice, personable and genuine. The xray techs are so helpful and take their time when assisting you. A doctor's office is made on the clerical staff and these ladies are top tier. I was there one day when staff was on the phone with someone who was lost and she never sounded frustrated or made any side comments while assisting. Orthopedic issues are painful and you want an attentive compassionate staff and this place delivers. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I don't feel like a patient but a friend stopping by. Barkley completes paperwork in a timely manner necessary for your job and return calls are prompt as well. I am 58yo and had recent hip revision and Danielle and Dr. Toy were AMAZING from beginning to end. I didn't have to call in then wait for someone to call me back when I had a question about medication. I used the app to communicate and Danielle's response time was great. Dr. Toy followed up with me by phone several times after my surgery and urged me to reach out for anything via his cell. What surgeon you know giving out their cell number? Recovery is so much easier when you have a reliable team. Ortho One is THAT team!

I visited Campbell Clinic in September due to severe, radiating hip pain. I initially saw a…read morephysician assistant who did not listen to my concerns or my long-standing history of low back pain. Despite my explanation, he diagnosed me with a hip infection and prescribed a 7-day course of high-dose steroids. I had to travel to Montana for a wedding shortly after and hoped the medication would provide relief, but it did not. When I returned 10 days later, I saw Dr. Brandon and explained that my symptoms had not improved. Once again, I emphasized my history of low back pain. I was given another 10 days of pain medication and told to return for a hip injection. During the hip injection appointment, Dr. Gilbert entered the room, administered the injection, and provided no explanation of the procedure or any post-injection instructions. His bedside manner was among the worst I have encountered, both as a patient and as someone with over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership. I had to initiate all questions, and his only response was, "Follow up with Dr. Brandon--I'm just here to give the shot." The injection provided no relief. I ultimately sought care at a private physical therapy practice, where I was properly evaluated and diagnosed with a compressed nerve in my lower back radiating into my hip. After eight weeks of physical therapy, my pain was completely resolved. I contacted Campbell Clinic to share my experience, explaining that I endured unnecessary pain, medications, and procedures due to a misdiagnosis and a failure to listen to my concerns. I was told my feedback would be shared with the providers. Despite this, I later began receiving bills for my visits. While my insurance had covered nearly everything, I contacted the clinic to request that the remaining $35 balance be written off given the circumstances. After four months of repeated calls and unreturned messages, a manager finally contacted me and stated that the physicians refused to write off the balance because they had "treated" me. I was shocked and deeply disappointed. This experience made it clear that patient concerns and quality of care take a back seat to billing and volume. I felt rushed, unheard, and treated like a number rather than a patient. If you are looking for a practice where you are listened to and where the root cause of your pain is addressed, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It is disheartening to see what community healthcare in our area has become
