The next day I contacted the local police department who advised me that Somoza's Towing was the towing company who had taken my vehicle. Afterwords I reached out to Somoza's towing to see where my car was located and spoke with a dispatcher who advised me he did not know where my car was located but he was going to forward my inquiry to upper management and they would call me back. I received no call back, so my father reached out and was able to speak with the owner who refused to release my car that night (Saturday) but would be able to retrieve my car at 1:00pm Sunday and to call him at 11:00am to confirm. It is now 3:30pm and have reached out to the company over 6 times and the owner has not returned my car and is not present at the tow yard therefore I cannot retrieve my car. This is extremely unprofessional and I feel like this is a scam for him to get more money by not being available to open the gate so I can get my car. Refusing to not open the gate Saturday night and now will not return my phone calls so I am assuming I will be charged 2 extra days for storage which if that occurs I will be taking this company to court to get my money back. California law, CVC 22856 subsection (N, 2, A) states "...A vehicle removed from private property pursuant to this section shall be stored in a facility that meets all of the following requirements: Remains open during normal business hours and releases vehicles after normal business hours..." which my vehicle was on private property. I found myself in a terrifying situation, stranded in the Caldecott Tunnel during rush hour with a dead car and a wife who was about to become a widow (just kidding, honey!). Car is fine but I ran out of gas *i am an idiot. After calling multiple towing places and 911 but no one showed up, the situation was getting dire. As if by magic, Tuan appeared like a knight in shining armor. Not only did he rescue us from a dire situation, but he went above and beyond by driving us to a gas station and charging us half the price of other quotes. Tuan is a true hero and a shining example of humanity at its best. BD Towing should be incredibly proud to have such a compassionate and skilled employee. Last November, we had to have our 2007 Lexus ES350 towed from Danville to our mechanic in Concord. We called All Area Towing and spoke with Al. He quoted us a price for the job and stuck with that price when we scheduled the appointment a week later. Al showed up to our house and got our car out of our garage and then onto his truck and was off to Concord. Our car made it to our mechanic and we paid Al on the spot. Al and All Area Towing are a very good company and I will use them in the future if needed.
