Marina brings years of expertise in empowering the body to heal through the gentlest of realignment positions and movement. The class offers an enlightening paradigm shift to less being more. Marianne's presence is pure calm nurture as she gently guides you through a candlelit unwinding process anyone can do. Alice Neiler brings an eclectic power basket of tools to her QiGong class that centers, calms, and strengthens with movements that I, in my limited range of motion, could easily do. I always left her class feeling my best self, a better self than the one that started. For those who can cope with floor poses, Toni's chakra classes are wonderful for reinhabiting the body fully and feeling empowered through alignment of the energy centers. She brings a lush, womanly, spiritual energy to her soothing instruction. Susan von Reusner brings the insight of mindfulness to working with the body, the mind, and breath, informed by her own background in sports and experience with injury, creating an accommodating dialogue of respect and gentleness. Her instructions are clear and intelligent. It was a pleasure to try these classes and to meet these lovely teachers. I recommend them all.

I tried pain killers but they were not getting to the root of the problem. I've had minor chiropractic care in the past, but it doesn't compare to the thorough and gentle approach at Harmony Chiropractic. A friend suggested I make an appointment with chiropractor Dr. Lisa Malfucci to see if she can help. I emailed, then called Dr. Malfucci and she was quick to respond. The office space is near Grand Central which is easy to get to. The building is corporate, but the space Dr. Malfucci uses is very professional and clean. After filling out an extensive intake form, Dr. Malfucci asked me a series of questions about my health - not just the pain in my neck. I was pretty impressed because the last chiropractor I went to made me feel rushed and just wanted to quickly address the issue. What separated Dr. Malfucci from the other chiropractor I've been to is that she takes a more gentle approach - doing a through muscle assessment and body scan and combines massage therapy into her session. She didn't just get in their and "crack" things, she carefully took the time to find out what was causing the root of my pain - specific muscles - supraspinatus and subscapularis were the culprits. I've had electro stim in the past, but what was GREAT about this place is that Dr. Malfuccia actually gave me a hands on massage targeting all of the pain in my neck and shoulder as the electro stim session was going on. When I had electro stim in the past, the doctor just attaches the electrodes and leaves you sitting. Dr. Malfucci gave a wonderful massage and was present throughout this. Afterwards, the pain in my neck was reduced by 90%, allowing me to get back to being active and function once again. Not only was Dr. Malfuccia effective, her holistic and gentle approach towards chiropractic care really made a difference. She is also very easy to talk with and makes the whole experience great. I will definitely be back.
