I started attending classes at NN in 2023, during its first iteration and am happily continuing to sink into my movement and healing journeys under its fantastic new stewards Catherine and May. If I hadn't decided to spring for a membership I'd definitely be having trouble choosing which classes to attend. The membership is more than worth the investment! As someone who was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, I'm so grateful that community-minded spaces like this exist. I'm always on the lookout for studios that center inclusivity and don't shy away from the full energetic spectrum of healing -- not just the white-washed, toxic positivity kinds that can too often accompany many healing modalities. There is so much value in being allowed the space to experience whatever comes up on your own terms within the walls of this beautiful, light-filled studio. I took the pilates mat class with Jennifer, which was fantastic! Jennifer made super helpful corrections to my form and really got me feeling tiny little muscles I don't think I've ever worked out before! Can't wait to go back!

CATSKILLS YOGA HOUSE - offering great online classes !…read more I was exploring Yoga Studios offering classes via Zoom during this time of Sheltering in --- I happened upon the Catskills Yoga House in the Mind Body app. When I read the class descriptions, I was drawn to try a Yin/Restorative Class I was so happy I did. It It was a beautifully taught class that was peaceful and balanced. It incorporated breath with movement and encouraged a quiet mind. The teacher Ricarda was kind and gentle and a great instructor. Maggie is an amazing yoga teacher…read more Her classes are thorough and focused. She has built a great team of teachers, all vastly diverse in their skills. The teachers here are knowledgable of anatomy and are always growing and learning. The classes get better every time I go. They are also well versed in theory and spiritually inclined. This isn't your basic, hip, body boot camp. This place is for people who are looking for true moving meditation. However, still be prepared for a strong, sweaty class!

Was condescending and told me how new her type of practice would be new (despite being a long time yogi and attending acupuncture - the meridian flow was initially of interest but she did not ask just made assumptions). Too many cues for her subjective versions of Standard asana, and yet was condescending and corrective as if there on right way to do yoga. Very clear that she has her following and calling out people as if they are doing things "wrong" because they don't put their palms up, down, or sideways is the antithesis of yoga. Her over cued practice was distracting - long warm up with minimal sequence for a flow not dynamic. As a practitioner of over 20 years, I've taken classes with amazing, knowledgeable teachers and have learned to trust myself. l, and recovering from injury while trying to find grounding is what I need and did not find this a safe space to practice. Would not recommend. She definitely thinks she's better than she is But

Petie is an amazing instructor as she knows so much about how the body works. I mostly take the gyrotonic sessions, and 100% of the time leave feeling so much better than when I walked through the door. I've been going for 2 years and was intimidated to walk in at first, but now I so look forward to my workouts with Petie.

The massage with Jason wasn't just a physical massage -- it was an otherworldly, blissful experience. From the moment he began, I could feel that his skilled, intuitive hands knew exactly what I needed. Tight muscles loosened, knots melted away, and I was filled with a deep sense of relief. The music was different from the usual calming playlist -- instead, his playlist seemed to align with what my body needed, like everything was moving together in sync. Jason seemed to sense exactly where I needed attention and before I knew it, the session gently morphed into something more like an energy healing ceremony. It's hard to describe, but afterwards, I felt cleaned out -- energetically and physically. My body felt light and I physically moved easily, but more surprisingly, I was deeply content, and at peace. A full day later, I'm still floating -- no soreness in my body, just lightness and a clearer, calmer mind. Jason has such a gift, and I'm so grateful I found him. I can't recommend him enough!
