This was honestly the worst sushi I have ever had and i can say that confidently. The rice does not taste like sushi rice...it was bitter and acidic. The fish did not taste fresh either. I thought the price was reasonable for most sushi places until I saw the tiny proportions. Anyways...looking at pictures from others it looks so delicious I am just feeling a little confused. So we went there for our dinner and ordered Fire bird roll, Romeo & Juliet roll and bento with beef teriyaki and tempura. Wow~sushi rice was perfect and fire bird had a good smoky flavor. I don't think I would go here again, for a couple of reasons. I got salmon teriyaki and my husband got beef teriyaki & Philadelphia roll. His roll was good but we both agreed that his beef tasted like it was microwaved, my salmon was very very mushy and the fishiest salmon I have ever had. The rice seemed like it was almost undercooked? Regardless it had zero flavor. The service was very bad. They refilled our waters once (because we managed to get someone's attention and ask), we waited almost an hour for our food, we got our appetizers 10 minutes after they gave us our entrees (however she did take those off of our bill because of that). Edamame was so mushy it was hard to get the beans without having a ton of mushy skin in your mouth. My husband and I both had really sick tummies when we left, we aren't sure what we ate that caused it. However we will give them the benefit of the doubt. They had a full house and seemed understaffed (and maybe inexperienced ((trainees)). They were very nice and apologetic of the wait for our food. But like I said we did not have a good experience & will not not be going here again. Too much money for the quality of food & service. read more

We love the sushi here. Since we're still under StayHome, Staysafe, we ordered for delivery. We received no ginger, no wasabi and only a free soy packets for almost $150 order. But anyone can make a mistake. I said I'll call and give them a chance to do something to make up for it. They said drive down here and we will give you some at no charge.... no charge? Hi I went to Itto sushi for the first time today oh my goodness it was so delicious I had the tempura shrimp tempura appetizer. It was hot and delicious. I would recommend this sushi house to anyone and everyone. If you're looking for good quality sushi with fantastic service in Utah County, this is the place to go. This is the best new restaurant in Utah County! Fresh quality sushi is hard to find in Utah. This place not only has that but they also have amazing service to top it off. We were here on a busy Friday night and were seated within 15 minutes (hard to do in Utah county on date night). We had several people check on us throughout our visit and they all seemed to know exactly what we were waiting for and exactly what we should order depending on our own tastes. I got the fire dragon and the lion king. The fresh lime on the lion king made it one of my new favorites! My friend got the itto and the Hollywood, the Hollywood was so tasty that we ordered another two rounds of it for our table! The flavors in all of the rolls were amazing. The price for the quality can't be beat and even better, if you come on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, most of the rolls are half price. I can't reccomend Itto enough. read more

Best dining experience we've had in months! Slow on the uptake, we just discovered the Orem location, though it has apparently been here over a year. Service was fast and courteous and water glasses are big, always a plus. We had the excellent gyoza, the Salmon Kama (tempura veggies with it were perfect!), and two sushi rolls, the Romeo and Juliet and the vegetarian Green California G, all stellar. And, best of all, though there are a couple of screens on the walls, they weren't on,which made me perfectly happy. Music was a little loud, but the food made up for it entirely. read more

Their sushi is great. I love that they can make any roll gluten free (even fried ones). My issue has to do more with the service. I usually call orders in, and something is wrong with their phones--I often end up having to hang up and call back because of this awful screechy feedback (it is terrible). Or I'll be on the phone trying to place an order and an't hear anything other than this awful screechy sound. When I do finally get my order placed, the estimated timing is always off. They'll say it'll be ready in 45 minutes, so I'll be doing something else, and then ten minutes later they call saying it's ready for me to pickup, but it takes me 20 minutes to end up getting there. I like to time it so I arrive when it's ready so neither me or my sushi has to wait long. Like I said, their sushi is good, so I'll order again, but a lot of the time I am deterred and go elsewhere simply because of the annoying experience ordering. read more

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY - My husband lived in Japan for 2 years, so we go for the more traditional Japanese meals rather than the rolls. That being said: THE GOOD - the food is delicious. We usually order bento boxes at lunch with shrimp & vegetable tempura & chef's choice sashimi. The miso is good as are the gyoza & California rolls. THE BAD - this place seems to be sadly understaffed & sometimes the wait is lengthy. THE UGLY - because of the short staff tables are often not bussed and when you walk in you see numerous tables covered with used plates, bowls, glasses, etc. Despite this, we go back because we enjoy the food. read more

Hate to do this but this place needs a wake up call or they will go out of business. I'm a regular at Itto in Ft. Union and so I decided to have lunch while in Orem. The whole experience was a complete disaster. The food was terrible. Agedashi tofu had too much breading and was hard as a rock. Barely enough soup to coat the tofu. The ramen was lukewarm with a cold boiled egg. The katsudon was burnt. The tonkatsu is not really tonkatsu. They don't use Japanese style panko as breading and the sauce tasted terrible. They also didn't put cabbage with the cutlet as described. The shrimp tempura roll came garnished with okonomiyaki sauce...just weird. They comped the burnt katsudon but there is no way I go back there unless someone I trust has a good experience with them. Admittedly, the Ft Union location is somewhat inconsistent but I go there because there aren't many decent Japanese places in Utah. Utah County is just flat out cursed for Japanese food. read more

Others in the group got the firebird and fire dragon, both of which had a great presentation; it comes wrapped in a tin foil "tent" and they light the plate on fire with some type of flammable fluid, and it cooks the sushi in front of you on the table!
