Affordable sushi and delicious curry, highly recommend. I get the green curry, it is so flavorful and large enough for left overs. The first time I ordered it was quite spicy so keep that in mind, every other time it was mild and equally delicious. I also tried the dumplings and the ponzu sauce that comes with it is amazing! It can be a hit or miss. I come here for lunch since it's the closest Thai Restaurant near my office. I'm not sure what happened but it seems the lunch kitchen is a bit more attentive than dinner or maybe it was too busy? My yum duck, which I normally order for lunch sometimes (very tasty), was not the best for dinner. My duck breast was sliced and then deep fried to a crisp, a bad way to ruin a nice duck meat. I asked for no nuts but there was a handful in it. My friends pad Thai's noodles were over cooked and mushy, it also looked rushed since there was no garnish or any type of plating. The sushi was good, typical for a Thai / Sushi combo restaurant. Their poke bowl is nice and very refreshing, especially for gluten free foodies. We were a table of 9 and the waitress did a great job, however the kitchen didn't perform this night. All the food didn't come out around the same time, we did say bring it when it's ready but 2 of our friends was waiting pretty long for their meal, which they had to pack up because the party was about to leave. The food was tasty and the service was very good. If the kitchen stays consistent, I'd give it another star. I'd still come back for lunch when I get the cravings. read more

Great casual Thai & Sushi restaurant. The servers are friendly, proficient and professional. And it is in an easy in-out location. The Shrimp Pad Thai was delicious. The shrimp were fresh, the sauce was on-point and the spicy heat was perfect. I prefer the peanuts on the side and that's exactly how it was served. The Spicy Noodles (ordered American spicy) with vegetables was very good too. The vegetables were fresh and had a nice bite. The noodles were a tad bit soft but still enjoyable. We requested that the tray of additional spices be brought to the table. It's nice to adjust the heat. At lunch soup and salad come with the meal. Both are good. The salad dressing is very good. I don't recommend this place. There are plenty of decent Thai places in Pinellas county. This is the worst Thai food I believe I've had in my life. HOWEVER, service is 5 Stars. They really do try to give you the red carpet treatment and make sure you are happy at this establishment. The women serving us were absolute dolls. And the rice in the shape of a heart was a nice touch. It's unfortunate that the food falls so short. All items were edible but subpar in expectation and flavor. All of the food just feel like it needs to level up. Food we ordered: Red curry with chicken, pad Thai, Thai iced tea, warm sake, spider roll, Tampa bay roll and Tom Kha Gai All were bland. To be honest, I've had better sushi at Publix. Prices were ok. A little more than some places. Ambiance - none. Very run down. I drove out here on the request of my friend and won't be returning. We have been looking for a new That place since we are new to the area and decided to give this place a try. It doesn't look like much from the outside but you don't want to pass this place up. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. The staff was so friendly and nice! We started with the Chicken Satay and the Tom Yum soup (hot & sour), both very good and for the main course I ordered the Pad Thai (Thai Hot) and my wife got the Massaman Chicken Curry. The food was outstanding, the portions were huge! I love my food super hot and spicy so they even brought out a spice tray for additional spice. Very authentic Thai food, amazing taste and quality. Top notch. Awesome thai iced tea. For starters with our entrees we received a yummy chicken rice soup and salad with a lovely sesame dressing. The pad thai was super tasty. Green curry and Red curry also quite delicious. Our appetizer Tom kha gai was spectacular, left us wanting more. The mixed vegetable stir fry with tofu was also good, although the sauce was a little bit too sweet for my taste. The service was super friendly and quick. IThai Sushi is an excellent local Thai restaurant in an unassuming location. You don't really know what to expect judging by the outside. Inside, it's a cute little spot, a traditional Thai decor with tables in the center and booths around the sides in two rooms. On a recent Monday night there were only 2 other couples dining, but the take out business was booming. That's always an encouraging sign. It's an extensive menu with all of the traditional Thai dishes, plus a wide variety of sushi. Amy tried the pad thai with chicken. This was excellent, among the best we've had. The noodles were cooked slightly al dente, the peanut sauce sweet and creamy, the garnishes of scallion and bean sprouts crisp and fresh. A generous portion of sliced broiled chicken topped the dish. This was ordered medium hot, and the spice is what you would expect - resulting in a runny nose and rosy cheeks but tasty in every bite. I had the green curry with shrimp. The curry was smooth and creamy with just a little heat, brimming with red and yellow bell pepper slices and at least 10 nice sized shrimp. The shrimp were well prepared, a nice snap to each bite, firm and not mealy. A generous scoop of perfect sticky rice (molded into the shape of a star, a nice touch) is served on the side. The curry over that rice is to die for! The tab for two was $30 including 2 soft drinks, so inexpensive. Im always hesitant to order this dish from new places, but I have to say they have been the best in the area so far. A really generous amount of food which made me ECSTATIC because I never get full of of Pad Thai alone. The egg rolls were HOT, crispy, and the sauce was delightful as well. The fresh rolls were super fresh, wrapped really tight, and easy to eat. The peanut sauce was really good as well. This is my go to for Pad Thai and pad kee Mao (drunken noodles). They do both very well. Sushi is usually pretty good too, but not in my regular rotation. Lunch specials come with a small chicken and rice soup and a tiny, yet delicious side salad with ginger vinaigrette dressing. A pretty good value especially if you get a noodle dish since they can be more filling. Haven't tried their curries yet, but my girlfriend says they are legit. I guess I assumed in WA state. But this place is BLAND and disappointing. Is it bad food? No. Veggies were crunchy! That alone upstages most Asian food places in the area....but that's about it. Even the fried food was bland. How is that possible?! AND I was starving! Still: Bland. The Pad Thai was ok. We got app sampler. The only thing that really had ANY taste were the curry rolls. I tried someone's fried rice- again, needed to add soy sauce to give some taste. How can food be so unseasoned?! Also had few other items we all tried...don't remember what they were, nothing stood out...as it was BLAND. DEFINITELY not worth the price. Do with this what you will. I like to frequent small, privately owned restaurants, so it's heart breaking to say this but I have to be honest. So if you're a white person from rural Wyoming looking to venture out and try "foreign" food- this may be a good place for you to try while here on vacation- you may have found your place! Where do I start!! The cucumber salad and the sushi were delicious, fresh, just...so good. The Massaman was just as good as I remember having in the past, rich, flavorful, and a little heat. If you want to try this place I highly recommend you do. They have carry out, of course, and delivery through BiteSquad. If that's your plan read no further. My only complaint is dining inside wasn't the best. Our server was great. Very quick, very attentive. The inside just needs some serious attention. There is a decent amount of seating and we sat in the booths by the window which was nice. The rest of the area is small, and the tables are arranged kind of haphazardly. The waitress had great timing. She was very nice. The food was exceptional and comparable in prices. Restaurant is clean. IThai has sushi rolls. Everything we ate was delicious. We ate shrimp tempura that came with fresh, seasonal tempura vegetables. and it was lightly breaded and crunchy, typical soy sauce. The dumplings were the size of a small meatball served in a steamer basket with a sweet teriyaki sauce. Pork fried rice had large chunks of pork and scrambled eggs, a meal in itself. The crab Rangoon was crispy shell with the creamiest filling. It tasted like the crab roe which was soooo good. Miso soup was good and everything was placed on a bed of lettuce. My girlfriend and I ordered from this restaurant to be delivered on the night of June 15th. We ordered crab rangoons, a wanton soup, one pad thai (chicken), and another pad thai (pork). We ate the food for dinner and unfortunately the crab rangoons were terrible. The paste was so yellow that it looked like a custard, they were also slightly burnt and they tasted awful. The wonton soup was unsatisfactory and tasted a little off. Finally, the pad thai was subpar and also tasted funny. We don't know if it was just the chefs that night but the food left us feeling ill and gassy when we went to bed.
