We just needed something close so we popped in here after we saw the good reviews and boy did they live up to the hype! The drunken noodles were out of this world and the orange chicken was the best I think I've ever had. Panai Thai is really good. They truly understand vegan needs and food allergies, which means a lot. The food is delicious every time. My husband usually picks it up, but this time I went with him and the place was packed, even after lunch, which says a lot. Though there's plenty of seating and parking. I have been to a few Thai Restaurants and this one by far is my favorite. I got the pork pot stickers (fried of course), and the Beef Drunken noodle. The dish was full of flavor and the portion size was perfect. As for the service, our waitress was very polite and friendly. It was a little slow but they made up for it in the quality of food. I ordered take out for the 3rd time and it's still one of the best places in the area. The Pad Thai is smaller noodles, not the traditional wider noodles. The flavor is a bit sweet and so so good. The Panang Curry is fantastic as well. I love that they give a lot of veggies and chicken so it doesn't seem one you're just getting a lot of liquid. Definitely 9/10 for both dishes. read more

Dined there for the first time today. Appetizer was a platter with a variety of items, like spring rolls, Crab Rangoon, hand rolls and chicken satay. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. I came on a Thursday evening around 5:30pm. There were many tables available but filled up by the time we left (probably the busiest I've seen this place). The service is always amazing and friendly. My companion and I were out running errands on a Saturday and decided to give this Thai place a try. We have eaten at a lot of Thai places in the Tampa Clearwater area and this one was new to us. It is a typical strip mall restaurant with a nice exterior and modern interior. The waitress met us at the door and saw us to a booth. We weren't particularly hungry so we ordered the Tom Kha, Larb, and chicken satay. Those three dishes are usually a good indicator of what you're going to get with the rest of the menu. The chicken satay arrived quickly, and was wonderfully tender, flavorful and juicy. The peanut sauce was very flavorful. Unfortunately, the satay raised our hopes which were dashed when the Tom Kha Gai arrived. Strangely, the Tom Kha had cabbage instead of onions, and tomatoes and was not loaded with chicken and mushrooms as is traditional. More disappointing, there was hardly any lemon grass flavor, and I didn't taste any galangal. In fact, the soup base tasted like warm milk instead of the wonderful, coconut cream and chicken broth I was expecting. We were both very disappointed in the soup. It is one of our favorites, and we order it nearly every time we eat Thai. We both agreed the soup was at the bottom of our lists. The Larb arrived, and despite the disappointment of the Tom Kha was very tasty and good. And had a strong lime and fish sauce flavor and the chicken was very good. Interestingly, the Larb was also served with cabbage. The cabbage may have been an homage to St. Patrick's Day, but who knows. We were both left mystified by the wildly different flavor profiles. The chicken satay was one of the better ones we have had as was the Larb, but the crushing disappointment of the Tom Kha soured the whole dining experience. read more

Really good. The Tom Kha was the best I've ever had although they put fresh tofu instead of the fried we ordered. The yellow and Panang curries with fried tofu we ordered were delicious with just the right amount of spices and loaded with perfectly cooked veggies although the curry itself was a little too thin. It doesn't get any better than this place. The food is so tasty and fresh! We love this place and come about once a week now. Today, we got take out and tried some new apps. The appetizer combo that had chicken satay, eggrolls, fresh rolls, and crab Rangoon was phenomenal. Fresh ingredients, piping hot and crisp even after the drive home. They know how to do it right and consistently exceed my expectations. Highly recommended to all. Service inside might be a little slower than expected because it's a small family business and the server is the only one in the front. Her parents are cooking in the back. The lunch special here is amazing from 11am-3pm. Not expensive, great quality and delicious! You can see the menu attached. We got a soup and spring roll with out lunches. I got the sweet and sour chicken. It was super yummy! I however did have to pick the cilantro off cause I'm not a fan. Other than that, it was awesome! My boyfriend got the orange chicken and I wanted to steal his meal, it looked and tasted so good! Wow! I read such fantastic reviews of this place. We went today for lunch, & the experience was a mix. Panai Thai is in a strip mall, & the interior is plain & lacking atmosphere. The server was kind, & the restaurant was very clean. I ordered Panang Curry Tofu off the lunch special menu. The lunch arrived super quickly, in under 5 minutes. That was kind of fast. The menu said any dish at lunch that has curry in it will have a $1 surcharge added to it. I found that very strange. The food was good, but not excellent. What was most disappointing was the low amount of food served in my bowl. The picture I posted has no perspective, but if I had included my hand in the picture you'd see the food amount was less than my hand size. There were 6 small cubes of tofu & a small pile of veggies. Next to this was a tiny scoop of rice. I was able to finish eating my meal in 5 minutes, lol. Again, the taste was good, but I seriously left there hungry. $10 for this meal was not worth it. This Thai restaurant you may not know about it until you have traveled to Seminole, Florida. They hide away in the plaza corner. My experience with them is not yet 5 stars. It is about 4.5 stats. The restaurant has good Thai food. I was here with a friend. He got the dish not in the menu and not serve to the public. This dish is call Kapoon. It is noodle dish with intestinal, pig stomach, and many other ingredients. This is actually a Laos dish. You only have to be lucky enough to enjoy it. I got a dish from the menu. I have shrimp in garlic sauce. It is a good sauce. The shrimp come in 7 total quantity. They are large. The entire dish is only $11 for the dinner price. Not bad at all. I also got a dish to go. The drunken noodles with shrimp. Again, the chef has a very good wok technique. Burn on the edge and maintain the wok high BTU oil burn technique. Love it. My friend got the sticky rice with mango. This dish top with sesame seed and coconut milk. Look very good. I would give them the credit for good dish in reasonable price. Come and enjoy them. read more

The crab rangoons aren't my favorite because they have a curry flavor to them but that's just personal preference. The food is always out very quickly. I was craving Thai food during a recent visit to Largo and came upon this gem. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and I am always looking for local gems. Wow. This is one. There are a couple of Thai dishes that I think can really gage a good restaurant. One of them, and one of my favorites, is Pad see ew. I tried it at PanaI Thai and was not disappointed. In fact it was one of the best I've had in many years. The services for lunch was quick and the price was great. I cannot give his any higher of a recommendation! read more
