The majority of their tables are two or four tops or larger, and on weekends they're dominated by lone customers on laptops, sipping their drinks at a snail's pace (or obviously done consuming) avoiding eye contact and staying in their seat as they gaze intensely at their laptops. ‍ As a result, I've never been able to sit and enjoy this new contribution to the West End. Once I got a cup to go, and it was really good. Would like to try the food and sit but, sadly, my schedule only allows weekend café going. I cannot compete with the laptop lingerers. Owners of FP, if you're reading this, here is something I'm seeing when I travel around to cafés lately. Maybe something to try on weekends?? Unless you're fine with people lurking with one drink for hours on end and, taking away large tables from new customers?

The bottom is also caramelized which just makes it so much better! The cotija jalapeno scone was okay- I probably wouldn't get it again. I'm not the biggest fan of cotija in general- it's too mild for me... overall not a bad scone, just not for me. A very foamy latte- yum! Overall, I would highly recommend! From the outset, Kim was exceptional - she was aware that an offsite - park setting had its challenges, and given our menu suggestions, meant creative chef work along with special logistical support. I could not have asked for a more professional, supportive partner for our event - we were on the phone a dozen times; we met personally to cover final details (she even visited Myer's Park and took photos for us!!) to work out last minute issues such as decorating picnic tables; mason jar flower arrangements; and a dozen other fine details. The food - and we are foodies - was one of the best Taco Bars (Mexican with creative sauces, balanced with vegetarian salads) - This was quality restaurant-level offerings provided at our Cayuga Lakeside Pavilion - I can only note the repeat lineup from our over 100 guests as proof that they couldn't get enough of the chef's creations. Our guests were coming up to me to comment about the amazing food! To sum up, our event was an outstanding success (fyi: Ithaca also baked the wedding cake - equally superb). Kim worked with us through all the steps; was available whenever we needed to chat; offered professional advice; and personally, managed the event (she was on site with us from late afternoon until our event concluded late in the evening). There was ample seating available. The location is convenient as well. I ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Although they were out of a regular everything, they did have a whole wheat variety, which is what I ended up substituting it with. The bagel was fine, nothing to write home about. I have heard that their bagels are fantastic so I will probably be back to try a different variety! My understanding is that they sell bagels from College Town Bagels, which I have not tried on its own yet. Note that they call their everything bagels "Long Island Bagels." I also ordered an iced matcha with vanilla and oatmilk. This was the perfect matcha in my opinion! Perfect amount of sweetness, the matcha flavor was spot on, and the oat milk was creamy. Bonus points: they can also offer French toast in a gluten free variation. My wife opted for the Potato Pile, which was a plate with a pile of potatoes, dressed, along with their homemade kimchi, and eggs. The potatoes were great. The inside though is decorated really well, and has a cozy vibe. They sell a lot in that little space. Cold grab and go items, cool grab and go groceries, like Pierogis and such. I bought a bottle of their CBD Ice Tea. Delicious, refreshing. I also, ordered a pork sandwich on a roll, with Horseradish and tomatoes. You can order any fixings they offer, these were just my preferences. I forget what my guest had, but I took a picture. I liked the size of the sandwiches. Perfect light plate, for spending the day walking. I definitely recommend and will be back. They look perfect for a breakfast or lunch sandwich. We were there at 2Pm. I didn't make note of their hours. But I'm guessing they are more of a breakfast and lunch place. My conclusion was based on our difficulty choosing a sandwich because they were out of most of their baked breads. Which I would expect from a bakery/sandwich shop that closed at 3pm
