    Fun cat themed coffee shop!

Nice feline friendly cafe! Perfect you and you cat lady friends. Have a cup of tea or a coffee. Get a sweet treat and head to the cat room and maybe meet Marigold the house cat.

Incredibly cute place with cats, merch and ambiance in abundance. The rosemary latte was great (if a tad sweet) and we also purchased local coffee (which they ground for free). Very personable people working there and all the art is such a nice touch. Watching the cats play (which you can do for free because they are glasses in) was fun, too.

The cat café has relocated to a larger, more illuminated space. You can still order your favourite (cat-themed) drinks & treats, and the cat rooms are more numerous with kittens and cats padding around and sleeping happily throughout. This place is dopamine heaven.

As a former enthusiastic patron of the Shoppe, my perspective might be affected by that comparison. But the Alley Cat Cafe is a unique addition to the unpredictable cafe scene in Ithaca right now. The interior is cozy, if a little messy and disjointed in its decor. Plants and twinkly lights add tremendously to the appeal. Overall, it's a nice spot to post up with your laptop to do some work. The staff were very enthusiastic and friendly, and I appreciated the use of ceramic mugs for folks staying to spend some time. The latte was lovely. The menu is vegetarian, with several panini and sandwich options, which is great for people looking for a veg spot. The toast with various spreads are weirdly pricy, but otherwise the menu is affordable. The combined business model of the cafe and cat adoption site is cute. I'm not even interested in visiting the cats, but it's fun to have them hanging out behind the glass while you work. I'm looking forward to visiting in warmer seasons, for the Italian sodas and hopefully a bit of outdoor seating! Edit: I completely forgot to mention a key Good Thing -- so many loose leaf tea options! Cup or tea pot, which is so nice. And drip coffee refills! All good things.

I really love visiting this cat cafe on weekends when I need to take a break from studying. It is also a great study place at the cafe, but it definitely gets busy on the weekends. They recently moved to their new location on 112 N Cayuga St and now the space is much more bigger in the cafe seating area and the cat rooms also! They still mandate masks so remember to bring one. They also have special dessert collaborations with local bakers such as little tiger bakery and the gallery, which both offer some amazing cute, creative and delicious treats. For entering the cat room, its $5 for every 30 minutes and you should definitely book through their linktree on their instagram because weekends are the busiest and generally you can't do walk-ins. Overall, I love coming here when I can to play with the cats and also enjoy some sweets!

I think I probably wouldn't order food here again - my grilled cheese was really dry. The tea was good though. The cats are definitely the selling point and they don't disappoint. For a college student who doesn't have access to pets besides my few visits back home, I was glad to visit a cat who gave unconditional love.

Five years from now, I expect she will be FS staff. Scott was our tour guide today and he is perfect at his job. He introduced us to the animal ambassadors and the mission of Farm Sanctuary's founding. My girls, their friend and myself loved interacting with the wonderful animals, learning their names, hearing about their origin stories and seeing how they've adjusted to the kindness of vegans after lives of suffering at human hands. Our dog was kept overnight at the facility for what was described as "observation" - we would have gladly taken him home same day like most facilities allow but they explained this was their protocol for safety, so we had no problem with it. When he was returned to us, we soon learned that he had not been provided with a cone or other preventative measure to stop him from licking or nibbling at his incision and genital area. As a result, he was able to significantly irritate the surgical site during his overnight stay. Following his return home, he developed notable complications, including bleeding, severe inflammation, and infection. Our veterinarian diagnosed him with hemoscrotum. While we are relieved that his stitches were not damaged, the situation caused him considerable discomfort, extended his healing time to over a month, and required an urgent visit to our local veterinarian. This resulted in over $400 in added veterinary expenses. Meanwhile, I tried to send in this formal complaint along with our vet's statement, and I was met with absolutely no accountable, no desire to talk on the phone (email only), and no human decency to amend the situation and prevent this to other families in the future.

Flowers were planted everywhere. You can see a big metal heart, a gigantic cow, and signs for the petting zoo and the farm walk. We started inside. When you first walk in you are greeted by the gift shop. Lots of fun things here. My daughter of course was totally entranced by this part of our adventure! Then we started with small animals. We saw bunnies, rats, ferrets, and turtles. They all seemed content and well cared for. Everything looked and smelled clean. They had hammocks, toys, food and water, and space to play. The kitties were next. Though the cages are always smaller than you'd like to see due to necessity, almost all of the them had a box, a bed, and a litter box, and quite a few were doubles that had places to climb, toys, and "privacy" visors for kitties who just wanted to nap in peace. There were a couple of larger rooms with cat towers and other fun things for free roam time and visitors! We saw the dogs last. There weren't too awful many, and most of the rooms were signed "staff only". So that part was a little bit disappointing. I would have loved to have a little more interaction with the pups! We wandered outside after that to scope out the petting zoo, which was closed at the time of our visit, and then the farm trail. We LOVED this part, as we got to see horses, cows, pigs, and ostriches! There was also a really beautifully done pet cemetery, complete with "rainbow bridge". If you're an animal person this really tugs at those heartstrings. You know what I'm talking about! The whole farm trail was just so beautifully done and well maintained. And it made for a decent walk, too! On our way back to the parking lot we saw some other things that caught our eye, like sidewalks bricks that were laid "in memory". Right next door is a playground, too! Absolutely 100% recommend for pet adoption, volunteering, or if you are just looking for a fun place to meander like we were.
