If I could give a zero, I will. I'm actually a customer for more than 6 years. I use their monthly plan $24.99/month to call China, and also the TV service. I want to share my terrible experience of their so call "VIP club STORE" service: 1. They sent me an e-mail about pre-sale of moon cakes in July, saying that the moon cakes would be shipped in late August (Mid Autumn festival is in 9/13/19) if I place order by early August. I placed the order in 7/30, but until 9/1/19 I haven't seen any confirmation of shipping. Then I started to try every method to contact ItalkBB VIP club, I tried phone call( no answer), online chat ( always no one online), web chat (An app like twitter, the scan code is invalid), auto e-mail request(I got an auto reply and that was it). Finally I have to call their phone service customer service, every time the representative said" I would talk to the VIP club staff and get back to you". They even give me a direct phone number of Virginia store, which seems like a personal cellphone number, but I called 10+ time and always no one answered the phone, I left message but one one called me back. 2. Finally I got a shipping notice 9/5 in email, claiming that a shipping label was created and will be shipped via FedEx in 9/6/19. However, another 4 days were gone the package hasn't arrived, so I called FedEx and they said they never got the package, there was only a shipping label was created in the system. 3. I had to call again, 9/10 I called , a representative claimed that she will get the problem solved in 24 hours, but nothing happened after 24 hours. I called again today, and I got the same answer that they would work on it and get back to me. I never see such a terrible customer service. I shopped online all the time and i think I'm a very reasonable regular shopper, 90% of the time I will give good rating. The store is like a scam, I probably called about 10+ times and left message in their direct store phone number, and about 6 times talking to their 1-877 customer service representatives. So far, I still haven't got any solution from them. Warning: don't eve buy product from their VIP club store. And I plan to cancel their other service after my contract is over. read more

My family used iTalkBB international phone service for a few years, because my wife like their 'unlimited' calls. But actually they give us 500 minutes for free. Yes, it's unlimited for sure, but you have to pay beyond 500 mins. Is this cheating? Maybe, but most of their customers (CHinese, Asian) are easy to handle. But when we like to cancel it. this is a very scummy company. my mother passed away in february. she had internet phone service with them. I did not need this phone since I have cell phone so i called to cancel. first person that answered refused to cancel service unless i paid the bill. second person on the phone also refused to cancel service unless her bill was paid. my mother only owed them about $10, so i agreed to pay it and gave them my credit card. HUGE MISTAKE. now they have my credit card, once she had my credit card she now tells me I have to return the device or else there is $99 charge. so i return the device to the address they gave me one month later I am charged $99, i call to find out what is going on and italkbb say they never received it. I check tracking number and it's at a nearby canada post from the address i sent it too. canada post says they tried to delivery to them but there is no where to put item so they left them a notice to pick up the item at near by canada post. they left them two noticed to pick up the package but they never did it. I gave italkbb the tracking number, where to pick it up, and a reference number from canada post confirming what they told me. and italkbb refuses to give me my money back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. they are incredibly scummy. my mother is dead and they refuse cancel her account. they trick me into getting my credit card number to pay her "$10" bill, AFTER they got my credit card number they tell me to send me the device or else pay $99 fee. after I sent it, they either 1. gave me wrong address or 2. pretended to never receive the item and proceeded to charge me $99. not only this I'm not even legally responsible for my mother's bill. but the company knows what they are doing. i after dealing with their customer service I know they are trained to be be scummy. their customer service are trained scam artists. i'm not surprised when I read negative reviews on their experience are trying to cancel service with the company. they make money on scam $99 cancellation fees. Very pool customer. I used their Internet service, but one day it stopped working, I called the support line multiple of times, they just said they reported the issue to the "Engineer" and "Engineer" will call me back within 24 hours. I asked more details, the support line does not know anything, just ask me to wait a call back. I said I want to talk to a manager or technician, they said no one will talk to me and then hang up the phone. I tried to call back, they refused to take my call, it is just ring, ring and ring. I had been a customer for more than 3 years mainly for its international call. its call quality was very poor. finally I cancelled it. but they have already charged for a whole year fee. it has been three months since my cancellation, I still have not received the refund. it is very hard to get through their customer line. when I did get through to talk someone, they seem to always be able to find some excuses for delay in refund. I have to call them 8 times, their customer service can't give straight answers about the refund issue. I don't ever wish to ever use their service or recommend anyone to use their service. Unless you call to cancel the service on the day your contract expires. If you don't, you'll be charged for a year, not every month. This company is strongly not recommended. I only got iTalkBB for the international calling. The call quality was fine, but felt the monthly fee could have been cheaper. I just recently cancelled and they made it very Difficult for me to cancel. They make you pay to ship their adapter back to them. They don't terminate your service until they receive the adapter. Once you tell them to cancel you have to immediately ship their adapter and they must receive it within 15 days or they charge you a Deactivation Fee of $59.99. iTallBB now is taking the advantage of long term customer. We have two lines with iTalkBB, one line is for almost 10 years and other line is for 5 years. Recently I find that the ITalk BB did not inform you that your contact is expired and start to charge us on usage base. I called them and answer is that iTalkBB does not inform the customer. I believe the iTalkBB's business practice is unfair and try to take the advantage of the customer, especially the long time customer. If you are a long time customer, you should check your monthly payment to make sure your contract is still effect. We are looking other carriers now to leave iTalkBB. read more

My family used iTalkBB for making international calls and not only was the line often terrible quality (dropping calls, unable to connect, saying it's a wrong number, etc.), after their device died they made no efforts to replace it despite our contacting multiple different customer service lines (in the US and abroad). Also, the service is way too expensive for what you're getting. I imagine there are much better options available but even if there aren't, I would rather go without the service than dealing with iTalkBB ever again. read more

I would have to agree with the comments from Tina T. and Witty C. The company is very dishonest and has poor customer service. They seem to take advantage of Asian people to offer free stuff to them and then make it difficult to cancel and threaten them with fees. If you have dealers at an expo you should train them to be up front of all the penalties and fees, and not tell them every thing is free and of no cost/obligation. Don't point the blame to customers. There are other companies out there that offer better service and disclose their fees up front. iTalkBB is a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) service provider. Their primary feature is unlimited or low-cost calling to & from China, Honk Kong, and Taiwan. The problem is, some of the key phone features (callerID, call forwarding) don't work correctly, and their horrible customer service can/will do nothing about it--they make lots of promises, but nothing happens. They also have no understanding of contracts. For example, this year they began adding, without prior notice, a fee of $2.95/month to annual PREPAID plans to cover "taxes". No mention of this fee is made even to new subscribers--you'll just get billed for it after you sign up. If you try to cancel a plan to avoid this illegal addition, you will get no refund for the remaining time on your plan. And, when you eventually cancel your plan (as I just did, after three years of steadily-worsening service and increasing fees), you will be informed that you must return the adapter in its ORIGINAL condition with its ORIGINAL packaging at your own expense (in contrast, when you cancel Verizon DSL, for example, the company sends you a prepaid shipping package). This applies no matter how long you have had your account! If you don't do so, your credit card will be charged $59.95. If you dispute the charge, your account will be given to a collection agency (so says the warning email you get when you cancel your account). Customer service is in China, and the representatives barely understand English. Perhaps these ripoffs and poor customer service are to be expected in China, but by U.S. standards they are outrageous. When I first signed up for iTalkBB, they seemed like the most economical choice for someone who frequently makes calls to China (as I do) and also needs phone service that's more convenient to use than, say, Skype. But now there are lots of other choices available, and I would strongly recommend avoiding iTalkBB. read more

But after 4 days, no order information has been received in email as described. 3. When calling their customer service, they cannot find any of my order information, even thought the money has been charged. In all, the whole service is not that good. My mother had signed up with italkBB in year 2014 for international calling (no contract). This was no longer necessary. She was happy with its home phone service until came time for cancellation. I assisted her through the cancellation process. We dialled +1 (877) 482-5503 between 6AM-3PM PST, and didn't get through to the cancellation department. Following, the operator informed us that he'll leave our call back number for them. 3 days passed, and nobody phoned back so I called the same number and the process repeated itself. No call back. I dropped by the italkBB at the Crystal Mall to request for cancellation and was told it had to be done via phone. Finally, 7 days later, I got a call back. However, the cancellation department was more keen on keeping her service and even advertised their new promos. Nonetheless, she was not swayed and got it cancelled. I went to the italkBB at the Henderson Mall to return the phone adapter, and was refused by the employee. She said that their computer system was down, had no other way to issue a return of equipment receipt, and that it would be the same at other locations. I had driven an hour to get there and was very unimpressed to say the least. I phoned italkBB at the Henderson Mall the next day to inform I would like to return equipment and asked for the status of its computer system. I was told to come in, and that the computer system wasn't ever down. The previous employee had lied. Finally, they accepted the equipment and issued a return receipt. I signed up two lines way way back before 2010. I transferred one number to my mobile in 02/2015. First it is very hard to transfer number out, need to call them couple times. Today in Dec 2016(almost two years), I found they are still charging me monthly (since I still have another account, so I did not check the amount on my credit card bill). I called them again, they said transfer number out does not count as cancel. What are you talking about? In this internet age, even t_mobile can do 15 USD unlimited international call. There is really no need to sign up for italkbb anymore. I really don't like the hassle to transfer number out. I really don't like transfer number out (call customer service, they did not mention a thing) does not equal to cancel. worst customer service ever.. the voice answering system when you are trying to connect to a representative, you have to press 2 every 10 seconds, it keeps asking you to leave a message instead of waiting on the phone line to talk to the representative.. and the average wait time is 20 minutes. which means you have to press the 2 button constantly for 120 times!! The Ad says $4.99 per month, but without making any calls I was charged $8.xx per month. It was still ok for me since I was not using it that much. However I recently started to use it more and realized all the calls even if it's local calls they charge $0.02 per min. I found out my credit card gets charged $20 each month. I hooked up this line to save money, but ended up spending more. What's worse is they don't let you cancel. I called last month to cancel my service. They told me to call them back at the end of the month so I could still use it for the month. I told them I want to cancel no matter what. The lady told me that she could give me 2 months free. I really didn't care. I just wanted to cancel. They gave me all kinds of reasons, or even asked me to ask friends to take my equipments to save money. I subscribed telephone + TV package for my family. I had a hard time to please my mum's needs for Chinese TV viewing habits. She stays in the United States for 3 months every year for visiting. However, I used to spend lots of money for the cable TV to get only 20+ Chinese Channels, which i did not use the service very offen. The iTalk TV+ telephone package is excellent choice for me with 40+ Chinese Channels and international long distance telephone service. read more
