    Rip-off billing method!
    Travis M.

The food was ok, service was adequate. The ambiance could be better - it is way too bright in there. Pizza is not as a good as it used to be. The biggest frustration was their method for billing at the end of the meal!! Total of food / drinks PLUS 20% Tip (despite it being here, it was calculated using the taxes in the sub-total - cranking up the tip) Taxes Taxes Total Additional Tip Total No line for adjusting the tip down from 20% if it wasn't deserved (it wasn't).

Stopped in for a slice and a soda. Quick and easy ordering for takeout from the display counter. Lots of seating near the fountain. Delicious pizza with crispy pepperonis.

    Perfectly cooked & crispy wings

Used to come here a ton when I was younger and had date nights here when I first met my wife years ago when we came to watch the train gardens during the Christmas holiday. Needless to say the pizza is still as good as I remember it and the wings are phenomenal! If you just want something quick and simple / delicious Italian Gardens has truly held up over the years and continues to make wonderful memories for me and my family!

    Pizza & fried pickles

I was very happily surprised by how good the food is here! They have the absolute best fried pickles - very crispy breading with a delicious dill based dipping sauce. The pizza was delicious as well!

    Eggplant Parm Sub w/ coleslaw
    Randy L.

This was my first time trying Italian Gardens in Kenilworth. I decided to stop by before work one day. I got both the eggplant parmigiana sub and a medium cheese pizza. The pizza was flavorful, nice and hot. I liked the eggplant parm sub as well. There was just the right ratio of bread to eggplant. The sub however was not as hot as the pizza. Due to me being on a time crunch, I wasn't going to make a big deal of it. The food tasted good though; I will be giving them another visit soon. I want to try other menu items. I would give it 3.5 stars. I got my food in a timely manner and prices were good for portion received.

    Portobello flatbread with marinara

Stopped here after class on a whim. I kinda wanted pizza but you know sometimes that can feel heavy so I tried the portobello flatbread. It was pretty good.

    Cheese slices

I usually grab a slice or 2 on my trips to Trader Joe's. I find their sauce to be sweeter, which is what I personally prefer. The crust is typically light and airy. Is it the best pizza in the area? No. But it's not bad. $6.50 for those 2 slices. It's grab and go style and they have a few tables in the middle of the gallery. More of a food court type of vibe.

Best place to take kids. You can order pizza and chicken tenders, then sit by the fountain. The people at the counter are kind and quick.

What is this hidden gem? We lived in Manhattan for 10 years and this might be the best NY style slice we've had in Baltimore. Lit

Best non-chain pizza in Baltimore, my style and deep dish. I think they put white wine in the sauce.

We ordered two 16" pizzas--the Parmigiana Chicken and the Napoli--plus 14 wings. The wings were laughably small and wildly overpriced, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of how bad this experience was. I was excited to try this place. The reviews were glowing, the photos looked incredible, and we chose Bruno's specifically to celebrate New Year's Eve with my partner. What a mistake. Both pizzas were completely ruined. Burnt, tough, dry, and utterly flavorless. They looked nothing like the pictures in the reviews--almost no sauce, overcooked to the point of being inedible, and closer to stale cheesy cardboard than pizza. If this is "authentic," then authenticity has a serious problem. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we had been given someone else's order or sent food from the wrong restaurant. But no--this was Bruno's. The same Bruno's people are apparently losing their minds over. What's most insulting is that someone saw these pizzas, knew they were overcooked, and sent them out anyway. Charging full price for food this bad feels deceptive at best. When you compare what we received to the photos other reviewers have posted, it honestly feels like a bait-and-switch. Never again. I'll happily drive to Pasta Mista in Towson from now on--the only place around here that seems to understand what pizza is actually supposed to be.

We met friends for dinner on a Saturday evening. First, we like BYOB with no corkage fee. They were very busy, so we were glad that we came a little early so that we only had to wait a few minutes to secure a booth. My husband and I split a Prosciutto & Mozzarella Classic 10 inch N.Y. Sub, which was loaded with thinly sliced Italian prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, mayo spread, and a drizzle of balsamic with a side order of French fries. This is truly a sub full of flavor. Our friend started off with an Arancino. If you are wondering what an Arancino is, it is an iconic Sicilian rice ball, typically stuffed, breaded, and deep-fried to a golden crisp that has been around since the 10th century. Here at Tony's, they are a flash fried rice ball, stuffed with ground beef, peas and mozzarella with tomato sauce on the side. He also had a Stromboli (a pizza dough stuffed and rolled with pepperoni, sausage, ham, fried onions, green peppers, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.) His wife enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan (three pan-fried Italian eggplant pieces covered with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, baked to perfection, served with spaghetti.) Both dishes were generous in size. We all thoroughly enjoyed being transported to Italy this evening.

Getting a true NYC slice you want to make sure it's left in the oven a little longer to ensure crispy edges and crust. Some may not notice or even care but sauce matters!!! Tony's sauce on this pizza was great. I snagged a menu and definitely plan to return to try some other items. I've got my eye on that cheesesteak and the chicken parm sub! The space itself is small but homey, which I liked. It's a little bit of a tight fit for everyone in there but it works. The service overall was great. The chef came over and greeted us, and even checked in later, and we had a great conversation with their somm. The food was fantastic! The pasta's and pizzas were both unique and delightful. We split a ceasar salad, meatballs, the greek pizza, a sausage pizza, and two speciality pastas- a cacio e pere (pear), and another one that I can't pronounce in italian but was a very thin lasagna like noodle with meats/spices inside. We also split one of their desserts, which i really liked. Shout out to the hazelnut gelato which was particularly delicious. I will absolutely return!

There was a curtain, but it was pulled back. The market stuff is still there and the outside of the building is pretty dark. I wish they had played up the speakeasy part more, but they made up for it in service, food, and drink. We were seated quickly. There were only a few tables left and we felt lucky to grab one. Our waiter came quickly and we immediately ordered the drink special, a butternut squash old fashioned. It was amazing and the bartender came out and told us how he made it. I volunteered to be taster for future creations. I don't know if he will take me up on it. We ordered the Plum and Burrata Salad, Fristo misto, and a Goat pizza. The salad was so good. I could have had it as a meal. It had a generous amount of plums, barrata and prosciutto. The pizza had a perfect hand tossed crust. The toppings were also great. I should have asked for some red pepper flakes but that was my fault. The Frito misto was not my favorite. The breading seemed fresh which is good. I liked the shrimp better than the calamari. We didn't get to try dessert because we were about to explode. I can't wait to go back and explore more on the menu.
