Decided to store a very expensive recreational item here because it was close to my home. I was offered a contract where you pay for two months and get two months free for a total of four months. Yes, contract in writing. The first month I was locked out for non payment. Protested and the office corrected the mistake, or so they said. Second month, I receive a preliminary lien notice in the mail for non payment. It showed a sizable balance along with the threat of seizing my property. The office assured me once again this would be corrected and that they would call me back to confirm the issue resolved. No call and I received another lien notice. Do I need to remove my equipment before its illegally seized? read more

Lorraine in the office is fabulous, kind and SO helpful. It's a nice location in town, and they went out of our way to help us with logistics of our move. I would strongly advise against the Thermolito location which is also in Oroville, so be sure you go to the correct location as Thermolito is nothing but rude. The units were clean, and access is easy with good hours. They also have post office boxes for rent which I wish that I'd have known before we went elsewhere. read more

If I could give this guy negative stars or no stars I would without a doubt the rudest customer service I have ever received in my life have no idea how somebody can treat a person that way and be in business. I was speaking with the manager of I storage calling to see if I can possibly pick up my U-Haul that I rented 2 weeks ago scheduled for this Saturday to be picked up Later in the afternoon. The guy lied said there was no where on his schedule to be found I have a reservation number and email from U-Haul with the guys name the storage the address and everything on it the guy refused to let me pick up a U-Haul at his place he wanted me to travel to Yuba City which is a 45 minute drive and he proceeded to be the rudest person I have ever done business with. After this I did proceed to call you U-haul Neighborhood pick up. The lady over there was the nicest lady ever she informed me that my reservation was correct according to the email I received from U-Haul and I was scheduled to pick it up at i storage there was nothing anywhere in my reservation that said anything about Yuba City she's not sure why he would tell me that information I have got my reservation now changed to where I pick the U-Haul up from them because I refuse to give any of my hard earned money to somebody who is going to treat his customers that way do not do business with i storage if you need to you all please go to neighborhood U-Haul pick up right down the street they are very friendly very convenient And will do anything to make your moving situation easier on you I own a small business myself and I would never ever give i storage any business because of the way they treat their customers please take your business just a block down the street to somebody who genuinely cares about other people and who is kind and nice people like I store it should not be in business he is a rude asshole and does not deserve to have business from anybody especially when there is way better option less than a block away moving can be a very stressful thing and when you have someone that just makes your life miserable versus someone who is there for you and does anything they can to make it easier and more helpful you all neighborhood pick up is a much better facility and I recommend using them over istorage any day read more

I don't ever take the time to write reviews, but I felt that iStorage Oroville on 5th Avenue deserved one. I have stored my stuff there while being overseas with the Military and there has been no stress to worry about. Lorraine in the office has been AWESOME to correspond with from abroad and she really has taken care of me when it comes to my online transactions and getting back to me in a timely manner. The storage facility itself is clean, secure, and the layout is spacious for moving in and out. I would recommend iStorage Oroville on 5th Avenue if you're looking for a quality place with quality staff. read more

This is the best place we've been at. We store our RV there for the winter under cover. Tim is a great guy and very helpful. We only need our space for the winter months and Tim contacts us when there are only a few spaces left to make sure we have one for the winter. Security is great and we've never had a problem. I went to UPS to ship something and was given attitude. That's when I went to istorage and was treated with kindness and respect. Lorraine and Tim wrapped and packed my things and were friendly the whole time. UPS treated me like I was bothering them when i asked for help. We used this storage facility for 2 years while renting out our home in Oroville. The first 18 months went just fine. The office was great to work with, if they were not there you left a message, and you get a call back in the next day. That was when it was American Storage. Then like 6 months ago, we get a notice that we are past due, We paid our rent a year in advance. So I call, and i storage now owned it, and raised the rates. Thanks for the "Heads up". We moved our stuff out over a week ago, and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone, and you can't leave a message. Not very people oriented.. read more
