When you picture a leaky dishwasher, you probably imagine a puddle all over the floor, right? Well,…read moreours didn't make a scene; it just quietly did a number on our flooring and cabinets. By the time we caught on, we found ourselves in need of a full kitchen remodel! Before diving into that, though, we had to clear out the appliances. For us, that meant moving a gas stove, refrigerator, freezer, and our kitchen table. Being older folks, we definitely didn't want to tackle this ourselves! After some research, we decided to go with a local gem, 7 Brothers Moving in Olathe, Kansas. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions we could have made. I scheduled everything online, and then I heard from Quinn. He was super friendly and went over all the details with me. Their minimum service time is 2 hours, which totally makes sense because they are just that efficient! If they charged by the hour, they'd be in a tough spot. They arrived, moved our appliances, swept up the area, and took boxes and the table to the basement--all in under an hour! They even asked if I needed anything else done. I was blown away by their awesome service! It was a no-brainer to call them again when it was time to bring the appliances back into the kitchen. So, if you've got any moving to do, whether you're just rearranging things at home or making a big move, I can't recommend 7 Brothers enough. Here's their contact information. (913) 653-1318 integritymovers54@hotmail.com You'll quickly see why they have so many 5-star reviews!

The container was for a client's home renovation, and everything was planned around that delivery. Unfortunately, Pack Rat made only one unsuccessful attempt to reach us by phone and never followed up. We later learned--without prior notice--that they were overbooked and wouldn't be able to deliver until 6/4/25. In the context of a home remodel, where timing is critical, this last-minute change caused unnecessary delays and complications. Their customer service was disappointing--uninterested and unhelpful. They offered a token $59 discount on the delivery fee but made no real effort to resolve the issue. Even worse, they couldn't provide a delivery window for 6/4, leaving us uncertain about when--or if--the container would arrive. If you're looking for reliable service and professional communication, I'd strongly recommend choosing another company.

Under no circumstances, would I ever recommend YouMoveMe to anyone…read more I am a navy veteran that grew up in a military home and I've moved no less than 30 times in my life. This was absolutely the worst move of my entire life. We have been lied to frequently, our move way exceeded the estimate by almost double, and nearly have of our furniture was damaged or destroyed. If that wasn't enough, the claims process has been a nightmare and the company stopped responding to us. Let's start from the beginning. Derek Ryan, the estimator, was not on time. He is a bit rough around the edges, but he talks a strong game and makes lots of promises. Promises on behalf of the company which were not kept. He told us that every employee of YouMoveMe was a full-time employee and that there were no temporary hires. Every employee would show up dressed professionally in a YouMoveMe uniform. Being as they had strong crews that have worked together for years, they would take the utmost care in wrapping our furniture and protecting the home. Needless to say, every single thing that was mentioned above was a lie. Not one single person was in a uniform. I had college kids, with saggy pants and their underwear hanging out wearing wife beaters. Many of the employees had started that week and were moving furniture with no knowledge. At one point 2 kids are holding our couch trying to figure out how to move it though our front door and one of the other movers had to step in and instruct them to rotate the couch. I figured this would be moving 101. These inefficiencies were quickly tallying up as the time on the clock was running. The crew came in and started moving things without protecting the home in any which way. This was incredibly disturbing as it was discussed thoroughly beforehand with Derek who assured us that care of the home and our belongings was the biggest priority of the company. Another lie. The movers were taking things out of the house so quickly that many items were not fully wrapped. It was horrifying. We had a set of matching pottery barn book cases that were located upstairs. The movers picked the first one up by its legs and as they were carrying it down the stairs, the legs ripped off. The mover looked at me and said, that looks like presswood and we won't pay for that. No less than 2 minutes later, they carry the next bookcase down in the same exact manner and its legs ripped off as well. There was no concern for our belongings. We watched as lampshades were dropped on the ground, then literally thrown on top of boxes in the back of the truck. We watched our Gardyn hydroponic system being hastily carried by a young mover get dropped and shatter all over the asphalt. Boxes dropped. Heavy objects stacked onto leather chairs and softer objects, destroying them I the process. We had a full set of crate and barrel, white, leather dining chairs that were nearly $700 each. We watched horrified as they got tossed around, poorly wrapped, then stacked with heavy objects. This discolored the leather and stretched the leather out, completely ruining their beauty. We had brand new ArHaus furniture pieces that we watched horrified as they were stood up on their side and then scooted along the ground, grinding the finish away. A metal and acacia table from ArHaus was broken from lack of care after we repeatedly warned them that it was incredible expensive and to please take extra care. Again, no regard for the care furniture. This continues on in all sorts of wash, from stacking boxes onto our crushed velvet swivel chairs, stretching and tearing the fabric, to loading boxes onto our couch cushions, disfiguring them. Our outdoor furniture was treated so poorly. We had a set from crate and barrel, the broke apart the areas where the wood was joined. Dropped them and chipped of chunks of wood. Gouged out pieces (I don't even know how) on the arm rests, and lost the hardware that connects them. Then, they also took our cushions and shoved them into what they call a "speed box" I'll get to the horrors of these later. Then they stacked heavy objects on top of those. They were so badly mangled, and the SunBrella fabric, stretched, that they are not even functional. We couldn't believe it. They dropped our concrete outdoor tables. One cracked in half. They didn't even mention it to us. The other has multiple chips out of it. We had a $700 large, realistic, but fake agave potted plant. Destroyed. They stacked boxes on top of it. Any person in the world would assume that you wouldn't stack things on top of a fake plant. Well they also put fake plants into "speed Boxes" then tossed other heavy objects on top of them, ruining most of our fake plants. They did the same with our Christmas tree and our wreathes. So you know, we didn't sit idle while these things weee happening. We tried to address in the moment and were largely ignored by the movers. We saw the move going poorly and called Derek for support,

I called the Bellhop Moving Company and I talked to Jaime who has been working for Bellhop Moving. Jaime was very through in giving me this accurate moving information on the long-distance moving from CA to Missouri. Also Jaime this sales representative was very patient, helpful in answering any question I had about this long-distance move and Jaime's voice was very calming and I felt very comfortable in speaking to him on Monday on March 20, 2023. I asked Jaime a lot of questions about this long distance move to another state in Kansas City, Missouri. My first question was I asked Jaime this sales person, What is the process for me to relocate from my local city in Oceanside, CA to another place in Kansas City, Missouri? Jaime said with this Bellhop Moving Company, they don't have a crew of (two men movers) who work in the Oceanside, CA area, so (I would have to either hire 2 men or ask 2 of my men good friends) who live in Oceanside, CA to help me load a (26 foot rental truck) that will be provided to me for my personal things, light furniture and my office equipment into this (26 foot rental truck). Jaime said that Then I told Jaime that I will also need to have my car transported in this long-distance move to Kansas City, Missouri and what is the process that will be used to transport my car in a secure and safe manner? Jaime said my car will be loaded onto a flat bed trailer from this Moving Service that has an active contract with the Bellhop Moving Company. I asked how much will this service cost me to load my car onto a trailer? Jaime said the price is either $1,200.00 to $1,300.00. My car will be secured down with these nylon straps with these hooks at the end of each strap for all 4 wheels. I asked Jaime, is there Insurance on transporting my car on this flat bed trailer for this long-distance move to another state? Jaime said yes and this Moving Service is completely Insured so if anything does happen to my car during this relocation my car will be fully covered. I thought this is good information for me to know about my move. I asked Jaime how many days will it take for my personal items to be moved from CA to MO? Jaime said it's going to take about (3 days) for these 2 men to unload my personal things to Kansas City, MO. I asked Jaime to give me a Free Estimated Cost on this long-distance move. Jaime said the total cost will be $9,000.07. This cost is a little cheaper than World Class Movers would be charging me $9,836.69. This Bellhop Moving Company is only cheaper because I will have to hire (2 men to move my personal things) into this rental truck or I have to ask (2 men friends) to move my things into this (26 foot rental truck). This Bellhop Moving Company this sales representative, Jaime said I will have to put down a 10% deposit, when I reserve a (specific date and time) that I will be relocating from my home to another location. Then after my long-distance move is completed I will have to pay the rest of this 90% payment to Bellhop Moving Company. Jaime stated to me that it will take their 2 men crew, 3 days later to unload all of my personal things and to have my car transferred to another area. The World Class Movers the owner Andre said he has his own people who are 2 men employees who will do all the moving in loading my personal things and anything else. This (Rental Truck) is provided with World Class Movers and its included with their total cost. Jaime this sales representative gave me excellent customer service during our cell phone conversation on Monday, March 20, 2023. Then Jaime said to give him 3 days notice a head of time to book my space on the specific date and time. Jaime also said he will need the new address of this location on where my personal items will need to be unloaded and move into an apartment or a rented house. Jaime told me to give him a call when I am ready to make this long-distance move. I said yes I will but I need to decide on which Moving Company I want to hire to do this job sometime in May of 2023.

I was told the furniture would be wrapped in moving blankets and plastic so nothing would be harmed. A treadmill set down in the wrong place, and when I asked him to turn it around, it ended up at an angle into the room. It was very difficult for my friend and me to get it into the right place. The recliner was not plugged in and the plug was under the chair, so a friend and I had to move the chair in order to get to the plug and plug it in. Things were left in my old apartment, such as boxes, a folding chair, a router, speakers and other small items. I was moving from one apartment to another in the very same building, so there was no truck involved. Part of my Cpap machine went missing and it took me over a week and $159 to replace it. When I went back upstairs the next day to retrieve all the items they left in my old apartment, the bedroom window was wide open and the toilet seat up, indicating little regard when they were done. The large dresser was still wrapped in plastic (no moving blankets were under the plastic) after they left, and I had not found scissors or a knife yet so I had to peel it with my fingers to get to my clothing and the wrap is still behind the dresser where I stuffed it because I could not move the dresser to unwrap it properly. The two men acted very friendly and charming but did not live up to what was promised. I called the company the next day and asked for some kind of compensation for the errors. All they offered was to send somebody back two days later to pick up the things that were left behind. Because I could not keep the keys to my old apartment, that was not a satisfactory solution. I thought they should have reimbursed me some of the money I spent - $550 to move a 424 square foot apt with no appliances. Promises were not kept. Things were not done as advertised, and I would not encourage using this company. Wendy

That did not appear to be the case. Everything that needed to be taken apart they just looked for a work around to fit it out of my apartment and into the truck. The only exception was my bed which was something they had zero choice but to disassemble. They're lucky the bed didn't require tools to take apart as it basically all fits together like legos. The part that dissatisfied me the most is they did not reassemble my bed when they moved it in. At least not fully. They put some of the frame together but it didn't matter much as the pieces werent put in the correct order so I had to take the whole thing apart and start over anyways. They also damaged one of my lamps and there was a big tear in it since it's one of those latern style lamps and the paper is fragile. I taped it on the inside just so it doesn't look as bad. I have two of these lamps and for some reason one of them they transported whole and the other one they flattened it and took it apart. Lastly, I contacted them about some sort of compensation and doing something about replacing my lamps and the lack of reassembling my bed. This was weeks ago and I've yet to hear back. I don't recommend this service and will probably never go with them again.
