I saw in the contract there is a clause saying that they reserve the right to make occasional slight rental increases. That seemed fair as we all know prices go up everyday Well only six month after struggling to find help to move the last of my possessions into the unit since I had to move in with my sister because I am dying, they raise my rent by 34% to almost $200. That has to be illegal. I will be contacting the BBB and Consumer Affairs and anyone else who will listen. There are storage places popping up everywhere. They are surely not the only game in town. She also asked me what I was doing in my unit that I pay for.... As if it's her business I said I'm " moving things around " she replied " moving things around?! Let me see " I've never once saw an employee the entire time I've rented a unit and the first time I do I'm accused of sleeping here and felt interrogated. Most people are not in the best position in life when renting storage and the bad attitude and lack of respect or decency displayed by the staff is unacceptable.

I paid my storage bill by phone each month and once iStorage took over it because increasingly difficult to speak with an associate. They also changed the date of when storage bill was due. One of the reasons I originally chose the storage facility in Deptford is because anniversary date could be any day of the month not just the first when more pressing bills are due like my mortgage. The final straw was last month when I went to pay my bill, after I called branch repeatedly over a 3 day span and could not reach an associate. I finally called customer service and terminated my contract.
