I needed a new battery in my Macbook pro, and it happens to be one of those models that makes the battery really annoying to remove. Apple Store wanted my machine for a week. I called three other repair places -- they wanted my computer for at least three days. Not cool. Vasif came to my house, replaced it while I hung out, and charged me a tiny fraction of what the bigger shops quoted me. So I gave him my wife's macbook, which had basically exploded in some tragic travel accidents. He took it home, ran some checks, replaced a couple of parts... and then sanitized it and dropped it on my porch, BETTER than it had been post-explosion, for a ridiculously low price. Screw the Apple Store or Nerd Squad or whatever -- support a good local dude who does everything better, faster, and cheaper than anybody else in town. And he picks up and delivers everything personally.

They repaired my shattered iPhone 4 screen in hours for cheaper than I found anywhere else. While I…read morewas at it I decided to do a color conversion. I walked away with a like-new white iPhone. I think this is where it gets more telling. Later that day or the next I was handling my phone and noticed a little squeak when I applied pressure to it in a particular way - basically any pressure on the back plate of glass cause the squeak. Thats strange for an iPhone to not appear completely solid in one's hands. I immediately conclude that the new parts were cheap. Adding more weight to this conclusion, I noticed that my front glass camera is a little askew. I decided I wanted my original black glass backing re-installed and a new front screen that doesn't appear so cheap. I take the phone back in and discover, upon showing them the squeak, that the rear glass plate has a long crack in it. Also, the guy explains that the second hand parts often don't meet Apple levels of quality but they are less expensive so its a trade off. Okay, I can deal with that. But I want my sturdy original glass backing and a black front screen to match. They reinstall the black rear plate and swap out the white front for a black front. They also didn't charge me for the white back plate. All in all, pretty good customer service. However..... Reason its 4/5 rather than 5/5: The only thing that irked me was they didn't offer to give me the original back plate when they finished the color conversion - I had to go in and ask for it back and they knew right where it was (hint: not in the trash). It made me feel a little untrusting toward them - it was my part and it was original, and it was probably expensive - they could easily turn around and sell it to someone else or keep it for themselves. It didn't feel like oversight either. When you go in to get new tires they always ask you what you want to do with the old tires, even if they're bald. This was like going in with two sweet tires and two blown tires. They tried to keep the two good ones. Thats how it seemed to me....I can't speak to their intentions. I'm just glad they could put it back on.

To have the tech saying, "I realized I am damaging your screen more, but thats okay you are getting a new one". As he cracks my screen even more that it was when he got there. The I ordered over $500 worth of parts only as the tech came out to tell me I had ordered the wrong parts and that he could glue my computer together but could not guarantee that it would be fixed. They made multiple appointments with me, cancelled on a whim and did not even tell me until I called to confirm appt. I lost so much money by cancelling clients. To abuse customers during this very difficult time for all of us is incomprehensible and they did it multiple times. I would wait for 4 hours, clear my schedule, losing very precious income only to have them tell me at 7:00PM that they would not be there, that they ran out of time. They exaggerate what is wrong with your computer telling you it will take hours when it is a simple fix. "THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE'. They send what they call technicians out to you that have to "read the directions as to how to fix your computer" all the time using up the very expensive time you are paying for. Then the company argues with you and turns it around to gaslight you and tell you "it was your fault". We are all struggling enough right now but to have a company exploit you, lie to you and abuse you is not acceptable and I lost over $500 in my dealings with Karl's Technology and now I am out all that money and my computer my brand new lap top is "unfixable" and has been for the last 6 months that this has gone on. NEVER NEVER NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY UNETHICAL PEOPLE AND BUSINESS PRACTICES.
