She will get to the core of the issue, and offer angles on things that are missing, making readings both like guidance and a point of departure. She has helped me during moments of chaos, or to shift my perspective or get my mind out of ruts. Or, to give real, concrete advice about helping oneself or protecting energy. Janina is one of those people who truly listens and is present, and I am always grateful that she can listen when more comes up (I only hope that I don't interrupt any of her reading). I highly recommend her as a tarot reader.

While most sizes tend to run smaller with regard to more indie or fashion brands, an XXL doesn't often work, and so I love SFP because they actually carry some items in 3XL. Now, don't get me wrong, the rave review isn't about sizes, I love these folks for their service. I have shopped a couple times, even hit up their little spot at the Cal Academy of Sciences for their Nightlife events, and every time I have had any interaction with anyone from the SFP family, they have all been unbelievably friendly and helpful, the sort of people you feel good about doing business with. Short while back, as Giants were rolling into the postseason, I checked in to see if they had any of the Giants/SFP tees available in my size, knowing sometimes things aren't in enough stock online to show as available, but might exist in the store. They were out, but mentioned they were in the process of printing more shirts. Not only did they remember me, but reached out to let me know when they were available. Small thing, but meant a lot. Quality of this sort is rare anymore, and when you combine that with really exceptional product, you can't beat it.

Love Street is a little off the beaten path but would be completely at home on Haight or Valencia…read more So many cool, funky, unique things. I've been on a 70s polyester kick lately, buying up all the wildly patterned, wide-lapelled blazers I can find. I dropped in here over the weekend for the first time to see what they had and found 70s prints galore and a bunch of amazing jackets to try on. My favorite was a red, white, and blue chevron duster but it had a few issues, such as seams open in three areas and a number of fabric pulls. There were also some confusingly-placed buttons randomly sewn/pinned on but at least those are always nice to have as back-ups. In retrospect I feel a little guilty about having hinted at a discount. It's a fun and special piece and I feel lucky to have it. Thankfully, though, the young lady at the counter was totally gracious about it. In the end, it was worth the hour-ish I spent that evening closing up the seams, pulling through the larger fabric snags, and removing the superfluous buttons. I should note that my duster seemed to be an exception because everything else I looked at was in terrific vintage condition. This is a wonderful shop and I am so excited to have finally found it!

They have designer brands and non designer brands-- leather, wool, silk... mostly items for women but some cool things for men too. It's worth stopping by and exploring the treasures here. Great quality, decent price, fun and relaxed vibe.

There's zero pressure to buy just good vibes and easy conversation, which honestly makes shopping way more enjoyable. The best part? Their pieces are special. This isn't a store where you see the same things everywhere else. I actually found my all-time favorite pair of super high waisted jeans here. I didn't even buy them on the spot went home, tried to be responsible, and couldn't stop thinking about them. The next day I ordered them online because I was like, nope, these are not getting away from me. I've picked up a few things from Assembly Hall now jewelry, jeans, shirts, pants and every single piece has been a win. The quality is great, the prices are reasonable, and everything feels thoughtfully chosen. One thing to know: things move quickly. Not in a stressful way just in a "if you see something you love, don't overthink it for a week" kind of way. You can absolutely walk away and come back... just maybe don't wait too long This is a small business I truly enjoy supporting, and I'm really glad they're here in the city. If you haven't checked out Assembly Hall yet, it's definitely worth a visit.
