First off I want to clarify; my family and I are the type of people, if we get served the wrong order in a restaurant we'll eat it, as to not offend or be "difficult". We're not "speak to the manager" types. However, Amanda, who I presume is the owner of this establishment, is the rudest and most passive aggressive business manager I have ever crossed paths with. Myself, wife, and 4 year old booked a 20 minute paint splat session, we also were accompanied by our stroller-bound 6 month old baby boy. Amanda literally met us at the door with a direct mandate to passive aggressively inform us we couldn't take our baby, in his car seat, fastened to a stroller into the paint room. The website does say 3+ for the paint room, but we did not read that as "you can't lug your baby and stroller in here with your party", which honestly is NO BIG DEAL to us, we totally get the "my insurance won't allow it" shtick that I myself use at my own small business when I try to stop someone from doing something I just blatantly don't want them to do. The issue here is her delivery, she seemed to take enjoyment out of denying the lad entrance into the room, and kept reiterating to us as if we're too ignorant to understand her the first time. Every follow up question I asked was met with a really snide smile and her reinforced infant prohibition. I asked for a refund, so my wife could enjoy the full time with our sweet little 4 year old, and I could stay in the lobby and entertain the baby. We were furthermore met with regurgitated "I CANT HAVE A BABY IN MY ROOMS I JUST CANT ALLOW THAT BABY IN THERE" lol ok lady, I get it. She did finally break her mandate to inform me she could give me a gift card but would not refund my seat after we paid $130~ for 20 minutes of paint. I don't need a gift card because we're traveling from out of town and I will personally never step foot back in this place again. I can tolerate no baby in the paint room, I'm really not difficult, just say it in a polite manner and treat me like I'm ignorant. I'll finish with this, an employee stopped me as I was leaving and apologized sincerely for the situation, and even said Amanda was an awesome person but was "working on it" what ever that means, I assume how to treat customers. The young lass with a nose ring and her counterpart with red hair and a soft demeanor were so sweet and kind to us. I could tell that they were remorseful for the way we were treated. With that I will leave some advice for Amanda after having 20+ years in business... the cliche is more of a standard: "the customer is always right". We were not being difficult, you were. read more
