Had another fun visit to Frankie's playing mini-golf. More fun for me since I won ;) Anyway, the wifey and I had a good time on a pleasant day temp-wise. It was a little busy so there was a lot of traffic on the course; kept having to wait for larger groups ahead of us. They had two 18-hole courses, with one being supposedly harder. The courses are well maintained and very pretty with all the water features. Definitely worth the $10 each for an hour of fun. The park has plenty of other activities too, mostly for kids, so you could easily spend several hours here (and probably lots of money). read more

Frankies fun park is one of the best local amusement parks in the area. They offer two mini golf courses, batting cages, bumper boats, a couple go car tracks. A perfect place for families and everyone. They also have a large indoor arcade, as well as food and drink. Great place for birthday parties as well. These places can be run down with broken windmills and smelly waterfalls. Frankie's Fun Park is in primo condition. The mini golf is somewhat challenging, if not all that fanciful. It is as per its namesake a fun park indeed. Went there on a Saturday morning in December. Lowcountry weather so we just both had light jacket on. We started with a round of mini golf with 18 holes. It was really fun and I would say have a mix easy and hard courses. ($10/person) Went to the batting cage after and tries for a round ($3/round) Played some arcade games after the have a mixture of classic and new age VR games. Now it's moreso a decent date spot to get to know the person better and see their playful side! The mini golf has two courses, East is easier while the West Isle poses more challenges and curves. The arcade is mostly electronic to which you pay at a kiosk and load it on a plastic card. You swipe your card at each respective station to play or win. $20 goes fast in an arcade!! All the glitter, sounds, and lights does something to ya haha personally I love the skeeball machine! Their menu includes simple foods like pizza, hot dogs, moz sticks. This place is not just fun for the kiddos. It's fun for the adults too. They have batting cages. I haven't done that in years and was so much fun. They have 2 different go kart tracks, bumper boats and an arcade. I'm the arcade is a VR setup that was tons of fun. You could spend hours in this place and have fun every second. Over all we had a fun visit. Some part of the facilities are clearly aged and due for some TLC. When trying to decide which activities we wanted to participate in, the cashier was no help in explaining the difference of the road course vs the drift course. She also told us cash only, and watched us struggle to see if we had any on us. Only layer to see that the machines to reload or purchase cards did accept cash. It would have been nice for her to Direct us there in the first place. The battling cages were cheap, $3/16 pitches. The machine malfunctioned and we didn't have to wait long for staff to come fix it. They even gave us a free swipe since we didn't get all the pitches due to malfunction. There are no sanitation options with using their equipment (helmets and bats). The road course was fun, lasted a good amount of time but don't really go fast and we felt sized more for children. The inside VR was pretty neat, $9 for about 10 minutes. Played a few arcade games, not much variety but still fun. read more

Everyone working was so nice, and one employee noticed that my little autistic grandson was holding his hands over his ears while we were paying for our cards and came over and offered to turn the volume down on the music. That meant SO much to our family to have employees who pay attention and care. My daughter found his little noise reduction headphones, and he was fine. My boyfriend wanted to stop by to use the batting cages. I haven't been here in years! Money for all activities is loaded onto a card, which is convenient...and easier than trying to keep up with coins. Each round of the batting cage is $2 (16 balls), which isn't bad. They offer pitch speeds ranging from slow pitch softball to 70 mph. The driving range, go-carts, rock climbing, mini golf, and bumper boats are the other outdoor activities. There's also a covered seating area, which is a great space for children's birthday parties. They have a nice variety of arcade games. Each one we played was $1.50. It's for kids not adults. The only thing I come here to do with my significant other is play golf, other than that nothing. It's miniature golf not even real gold but it's fun and we tend to have a good time. The food it's way overpriced for something out of a box- again expected for a fun park. I wish they'd let you bring non alcoholic beverages in but they don't. If you are looking to get better at hitting the ball in baseball they have great baseball cages to practice- other than that as stated this is geared towards children and teenagers- not adults. read more

Frankie's has been around forever. If you are local, you came here for birthday parties as a kid, played mini golf & ate some mediocre pizza. But...you also had fun. They still have batting cages, bumper boats & go carts also. I usually only end up in the arcade. We recently visited with my 13 year old cousin. You load up a card with money & swipe to play games. Games are usually $1-$3 per play, most around $1.50. It is a little pricey & you can very quickly go through all of the money on the card without thinking about it. They also recently added a virtual reality gaming section, which we did not try. It's good to keep the kids busy if you want to get them out of the house. We only had 1 game take our $, but it was easily resolved. The staff was friendly & we didn't have any other issues. read more

Who says arcade games are just for kids? I've been going to this Frankie's for over 10 years now and this place has always been a good time. This park is one of the more fun places to hang out in Charleston if you like games. The Arcade: They have mostly ticket and prize games. Some of their unique games include Flappy Bird, a huge 4 person Pac-man air hockey game, Connect Four, Kung-Fu Panda, a gigantic pac-man machine, and many more. There's also your typical arcade staples of Skee-ball, basketball, and regular air hockey. From their skilled prize games, you can give up to 30,000 tickets, Beats Headphones, or MP4 players. All the machines use cards to swipe instead of coins. If you have enough tickets, you can exchange them for prizes at the front. Outside, they have a lot of outdoor activities including a full range golf course at the very, very back of the park, putt-putt, battling cage, drop zone, and bumper boats. Each activity costs about $7 or $8 a person. I personally love the 18 hole putt-putt course, go-carts, and the full range golf course. With a group of 3 or 4 friends, the putt-putt course can provide up to an hour of entertainment depending on how bad you are. The go-cart course is a lot of fun because it's fairly large, the karts go reasonably fast, and they give you about 4 minutes of play time. The full range at the back is pretty cool if you want to improve your golf skills or just want to wack a ball with a stick. I usually spend about $20 here between the arcade and outside attractions so except to spend about that much and more if you have kids! read more

Well, this is the only fun park in the North Charleston/ Summerville area. It's fun, but definitely overpriced with $7 per ride on go carts, water boats or other attractions. They also have a small arcade and put put course for the family. read more

I visited this location a few times with a large group and it was always a fun time. The games, putt putt, and go karts was well maintained. There is a slick track at this location and it is really fun. I highly recommend anyone to drive this track! I haven't tried the food, but the drinks and snacks was fine. The price depends on what you want to spend. However, 25-40 dollars can last you about two hours. If your in Charleston and want to do something with a group, this is a good option for the evening. read more

Went to go to the driving range and apparently you are closed until 3pm on Tuesdays, which is cool but you all should really open on time. So as a few of us sit waiting for the driving range to open @ 3pm today (Tuesday) an employee shows up @ 2:55, goes into the building and starts cleaning. This was a nice place. My son was finally tall enough to drive his own cart. He loved that. We did a few holes of golf but the boys lost interest. The arcade was ridiculously expensive. My husband and I have a great time playing putt putt here. It gives us something to do in this area (we live nearby) because this area is seriously lacking any entertainment besides restaurants. We have been on the go karts before and that was a lot of fun too. My husband likes to play arcade games so after a game of putt putt, we'll venture inside to play a couple of games. I really only play Skee-ball - I'm not great at anything else. He will try and win me one of those stuffed animals out of the claw machine - he had a couple but of course once it's picked up, the claw won't hold it and lets it go! read more

The "harder" course did have its challenging moments but the 18th was so simple is was laughable. But not a big deal. The rest of the park looked fun, had lots of other things to do. AKA Frankie's Funland, Frankie's Fun Park is a small area with two 18-hole mini golf courses, an arade, bumper boats, a small carnival-type ride, go-carts, and a batting range. (I apologize if I'm missing anything!) My husband and I frequently mini-golf here. It is $6 a person and you can choose "east or west." I think the course is kept up nicely (we've been once when the water wasn't running through the course... it did look pretty icky then, but that's not really a problem.) The courses provide a bit of fun variety and even though I'm horrible it's a nice cheap date. Often times you can see turtles, fish, and birds around the water. Despite the animal life, the walkways are kept pretty clean! I rarely am near a ton of goose poop, but it happens. If you go in the mid-late spring, you can catch a live momma goose who's sitting on her eggs between some trees, inches from the hole you're at. I've never done any of the other activities except putt around in the arcade. Their prizes for turning in tickets aren't that great... not even the cheap stuff you get "just because." Since my husband and I clearly have no need, we just add up our tickets on our card and spend 10 bucks each time we go. Eventually there will be someone we can get with them, and we look at it as winning just for killing time and burning some extra cash. The area is nice, and there is lots of parking. I like Frankies but it's too EXPENSIVE. I'm surprised it's still open. They really should try to sell bundles. For a flat rate, you would get to get on a certain number of rides etc. We can only afford to come here once every 2 years or so because of the prices. The kid loves coming here to play mini-golf and arcade games. The mini-golf is great with two 18-hole courses to choose from. Both offer their own unique challenges. They keep the course up very nicely. Every time we've gone there hasn't been any trash and the only thing floating in the water are birds, turtles and an occasional golf ball. The arcade is fun but I would have to agree with the other reviews that the prizes aren't really worth it (but what arcade is?). The other thing is the ticket counts are a bit off. Our son won 1000 tickets on a single game. He took the tickets to the ticket counter and it only counted 950. Now it could have been the ticket counter or the game but it makes you wonder. When you are charging 1 to 3 dollars a game you don't really need to short tickets. On a good note the card system is awesome. You load money on a card to play the games and then the tickets are loaded onto the same card by ticket counters. So all you have to keep is one card. All in all Frankie's Fun Park is a great place to take the family for a couple hours or go on a little date night. read more
