Couldn't finish my meal as the lack of flavor just didn't make me want to finish.

The menu is highly miss leading from the yelp post, especially for the menu pricing. Online price is $10 for my French toast of 3 slices but current menu has 4 slices for 12. Also traditional Texas toast for French toast is nice and thick, these slices are paper thin. And the overall batter lacks flavor. The side ham for $4.50 is not worth it as the ham is paper thin and maybe 2.5-3 ounces. Whereas off island the ham would be 1-3-1/2 inch thick and 5-6 ounces. Ham should also be juicy, but B.C. this is so thin it's almost like Jerky would be, and very salty. When you go into a cafe that says Organic Orange Juice you are thinking fresh squeezed, this is obviously not the case here, definitely tastes no different than the Minute Maid I get for home. The coffee is not very strong either tastes a little watered down and a slight bit chemically from maybe them not cleaning the machine very well. Service is very lacking as well. Other than taking my order the server never came to my table again not even to see if I needed a coffee refill Would not recommend this as a place to stop when visiting Eastsound.

This was our first morning on the island, and we decided to pop in here for breakfast. Definitely the typical greasy spoon eatery; pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, you get the idea. Everything was really good, and the service was pretty friendly and fast.

Quick breakfast spot! Good pancakes and a breakfast burrito. Outdoor seating if you want to bring your dog. Prices are average and food is the same.

Great breakfast place! Our resort recommended the Island Skillet. We were not disappointed. This little place had about 10 tables and wasn't very big. We only waited about 6 minutes and I could tell the staff was used to serving to a crowd. They were friendly, efficient, and on top of it. We ordered our food and were served our delicious breakfast within 15 minutes. (Maybe even a little quicker). The food was yummy. The hash browns were cooked to perfection and my eggs "over medium" really were over medium!! As people came in and out I could see the smiles of the locals and tourists who were also enjoying their first meal of the day. Yup! This one's a keeper!

    I. Overall: Good People and Good Food II. Disclaimer: I have not been paid or compensated to write or share this review by anyone in any way shape or form whatsoever III. The Food: Came to this place for breakfast based on so many good reviews and we weren't disappointed. Super humble joint with no-nonsense food and GOOD KIND PEOPLE and SERVICE. We ordered... - Eggs Benedict which were very tasty and came with Hashbrowns - Veggie Omelette with Hashbrowns which was equally tasty. What made this Omelette EXCEPTIONAL was that the vegetables weren't raw but had been sautéed very nicely and cooked as opposed to being just dumped with eggs like most places that 'think' they know how to make Omelettes - Coffee was good as well IV. Service, Ambience and Charges: This is a nice cutesy place operating in the small market area of Orcas Island. We waited for about 10 minutes and were attended on very kindly. We did go back the next day itself but they had closed by 12 noon. The Gentleman behind the counter was SO kind and referred us to the Outlook Inn for Breakfast along with several other places, which was super kind of Him. For all the food above we paid $45. Would definitely come back to this establishment again for breakfast or brunch.

Short wait, incredibly friendly staff, spectacular service and DELICIOUS food. Just what we were looking for. Re COVID: everything was cleaned and sanitized to my exceptionally high standards. All staff were wearing masks and everyone was 6ft apart.

My partner and I went to Orcas Island for a much-needed weekend. Despite living in Seattle for…read moreyears, we had yet to explore the San Juan Islands. Good friends recommended Doe Bay Cafe to us. We ordered take out (beet fritters, a yummy salad, scallops, and dessert). We both LOVE to cook and eat out often. We were VERY impressed at the quality of food that we received! We savored every single bite. Needless to say, we will be heading back to Orcas AND to the Doe Bay Cafe sometime in the near future! We can't WAIT! We normally take photos of food that impresses us. We were too busy, reveling in the tastes, textures, and gloriousness of the dinner to remember to take photos. Until it was too late. Next time!

Beautiful location and space but we didn't have the best meal. Service was weirdly disorganized…read more(there's only 10 tables with 3 front of house staff and a manager, so it was not lack of staff.) There seemed to be confusion on basic things and we saw our meal sit out for a good while before anyone brought it over. The bartender was trying hard and did recommend a terrific wine. Our meal overall was just ok and for the prices and high end focused menu (all $40-$50 entrees- no sandwiches and few apps to share), it felt like they should decide to either step up to run a high price restaurant or make this place more casual and better priced. Our dinner here fell flat and we will likely go into Eastsound for dinner next time.
