I asked him several times to give him a bit more numbing medication and he did not. I was ready to take my child out in mid procedure....what pisses me off more is that he numbed his teeth again at the end of procedure which makes no freaking sense. Needless to say, cliff notes version. I scheduled with a specific doctor but was assisted with the other doctor. The jokes they thought were jokes were insensitive, they didn't take my fear seriously, the receptionists were rude. They don't discuss anything with you as far as recovery I did a lot of research just to find out what expectations I should see after my post extraction surgery. Over heard a conversation while getting surgery and brought it up on my one week post op and was looked at like I was the crazy one, at my 6 week post op never even saw a Dr. the dental assistant that I don't care for took the x-ray and just gave very vague reassurance, no one looked inside my actual mouth to review the recovery or even touch base on the incompleted procedure that was discussed over me during surgery. They don't disclose that there is a credit card fee that is $6 btw. It was just a mess. Not to mention the dentist that did my extraction gave me false hope regarding my consultation diagnosis during my consultation knowing that it was impossible. I have my records but honestly so happy I never have to go back again. The energy in the office is terrible, with the exception of two dental assistants one that is new. I knew she was different I felt her energy and the one who assisted with removing some of the stitches that were hanging, her energy was good too. Otherwise I would not recommend at all. The one star is simply for the fact that the surgery went well.

Apple White Dental delivers the absolute best customer service I have ever experienced…read more Dr. Pornick went above and beyond to make sure I was completely accommodated, comfortable, and pain-free throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail is remarkable--she made sure everything matched perfectly and worked tirelessly with my dental work until the fit was absolutely seamless. She even called back personally after my visit to check on how I was doing, which meant so much to me. Having been to other dentists in the past, I can safely say I never received the level of care and personal attention that I did here. Beyond Dr. Pornick's exceptional expertise and dedication, the entire staff is absolutely amazing, warm, and accommodating from start to finish. Just fabulous overall!

Horrible experience. Applewhite Dental Arts turned a routine crown into a nightmare…read more First, they placed a badly fitted temporary crown, which ultimately caused an infection. Instead of recognizing their mistake, they insisted it was root canal pressure. Then, they failed twice to take a proper mold for the permanent crown. When they finally placed the permanent one, it wasn't secured properly -- it just fell off, and there was nothing underneath to hold it in place. No post, no structure -- just poor work. After seeking a second opinion, I found out they had unnecessarily removed healthy tooth material just to force the wrong crown into place. I now need corrective work from a competent dentist -- all because of their carelessness. This isn't just bad dental care -- it's negligent. Avoid Applewhite Dental Arts unless you want to pay for their mistakes out of pocket and in pain.

Upon arrival, an assistant performed X-rays and informed me that I needed to wait for the doctor. After a significant delay, the doctor finally entered, briefly examined my teeth, and then left the room without providing any explanation or treatment plan. Approximately 20 minutes later, a staff member returned to inform me that the doctor was recommending a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) at a cost of $50, despite the fact that I specifically requested a standard cleaning and my insurance covers that procedure in full. When I declined the deep cleaning, the office refused to perform the regular cleaning that is medically appropriate for a routine visit and fully covered by my insurance policy. As a result, I spent nearly one hour at the practice, received X-rays only, and was denied the covered service I came in for. This raises serious concerns regarding: * Potential discriminatory treatment, as I am an African-American woman and the staff was predominantly Hispanic and Caucasian. * Insurance misuse, by attempting to upsell a more expensive procedure instead of providing the covered service. * Failure to provide standard of care, including refusing a routine cleaning without providing any medical justification. * Improper patient handling, miscommunication, and unreasonable wait times.

Exceptional Dental Care at Southern Charm Dental - Thank You, Dr. Krupa Patel!…read moreIt's been a while since I've wanted to write this review--Southern Charm Dental truly deserves praise for the way it represents excellence in dental care, and Dr. Krupa Patel has been outstanding throughout the years. I visit their Humble location, and from the moment you walk in, the facility is immaculately clean and beautifully presented--from the spacious, calming waiting lobby to the modern, state-of-the-art procedure rooms. The staff is consistently professional, kind, and welcoming. Thank you for making every visit a smooth, pleasant experience! Dr. Krupa Patel has been my dentist for the past 4 to 5 years, and her service is nothing short of stellar. I first met her when I needed a difficult tooth extraction. I was skeptical because my teeth have always been hard to remove--past dentists had struggled. But Dr. Patel reassured me with confidence, and sure enough, she removed it effortlessly. I was truly in awe. More recently, I experienced an issue with one of many dental implants she did for me--its screw had slightly risen, creating discomfort, likely because I wasn't consistently wearing the night guard she had custom-made for me. When I visited the clinic, the first thing she gently asked was whether I had been using the night guard. I admitted I hadn't worn it consistently but promised to be diligent moving forward after realizing the consequences. She kindly took the time out of her busy schedule to readjust the implant screw--and to my surprise, she didn't even charge me for it. I was beyond grateful. Thank you, Dr. Patel, for your consistent professionalism, compassion, and outstanding care. You and your team truly set the standard for what dental care should be. -- Jean

He is just not good. I knew I needed a lot of work, and he proceeded to do five extractions in one afternoon. He struggled with the removals and chafed and cut the inside of my mouth. After the anesthetic wore off, this was nearly as painful as the extractions. My mouth was terribly sore. But the kicker was that I have never been to a dentist who could or would not provide something to provide potent pain relief after what amounted to serious dental surgery. This guy could not offer anything but Ibuprofen, which was laughable. I had a follow-up appointment set for one week later, but cancelled it. I was still in pain. I will be going to a competent dentist who can do the work and prescribe the appropriate medications. Part of good and effective medical treatment is ensuring patients don't suffer post-op pain. Failure to deal with this issue means you are only doing half your job as a doctor. Avoid this guy at all costs. It's not worth suffering because he can't or won't dispense proper meds.
