Same as the other 1 stars, they used a smaller, cheap screen, and left the gasket on, so it didn't fit well, but they put it in the ridiculously priced case for me, so I didn't notice. It failed in 50 days. Sounds like that's a common tactic they use to get you to come back in. Research other companies in Hilo. There is definitely at least one much better, more honorable one. read more

My experience with Island Cell truly disappointed me . I had broken my screen during my stay in Hilo , and I trusted in them to fix my screen correctly. But this was unfortunately not the case , as all they did was replace everything with a smaller and low quality screen . After back and forth arguing , I requested they just simply take everything off as it was not worth the $300 they were charging . Stay away from them at all costs if you're in Hilo . read more

My Samsung had a damaged charging port. It was driving me crazy. Island Cell said they could fix it and to leave it with them for 1/2 hour. I did my grocery shopping and picked up my repaired phone, working perfectly. Nice people there too. read more

My experience at Island Cell today was nothing but a false hope. I was hoping to be receiving my phone once more after one of the employees reassured me I would be able to get my phone fixed. I was told my phone can be fixed in two and a half hours with a positive tone. After I returned to claim my " fixed phone." I was disappointed to find my phone in a smaller screen with lower quality. I was then charged $355 for lower value. I do not recommend getting services here. read more

Purchased a $40 privacy glass/screen protector for my cell phone and had them put it on to ensure the screen was cleaned professionally to prevent lifting. The next day, all of the corners lifted. When I called to see what they could do, she said it was my phone that could have been dirty. When I told her the person I bought it from put it on, her response was "oh really" and said I could bring it in but she couldn't guarantee anything. Very disappointing. Won't ever go there again and will not recommend it. Bought a replacement from Amazon that works perfectly, for a fraction of the cost. read more

Rip off! prices always vary. I bought an item - it was marked up like 40%! An item that cost $40 for my friend who was there a few days before was marked up to over $100! when I went to go by. I support local busineses vs. box stores like Walfart but sadly this place will not last ...not trustworthy when prices vary from day to day. read more

absolutely the worst! the guy there is weird, rude and won't tell you how much the repair will cost. i asked him 3 times. all 3 times he just stared at the little screwdriver he had. after 5 minutes he says, "that's the best i can do". he unscrewed 2 little screws and pushed the part back in. he then mumbles $68...!!! i said did you say $6 (which would be ok for 5 minutes of almost doing nothing. he says "no $68" and stands up and stares at me. obviously this happens all the time and he prepares for angry customers. i asked him why the service charge and labor rate aren't posted and why he didn't answer me when i asked him the price, again he just stares at me!!! drive this thief out of business! read more

Island cell is the WORST place to go to, for phone cases. BOTH my phone cases broke less than 1 month after buying them, and they don't replace it if it's in bad condition. The first phone case I bought, broke 3 days afterwards from it being in my pocket, and the employee said I was lying. The second case broke 2 weeks after purchase and Its supposed to be "heavy duty" . If you're looking for liability, don't come here. Customer service is very low. The employee is snobby and rude. when i called them to ask how much it would be to repair my phone they said $50, and when i came in they said it was actually $65... i let it slide and they took my phone. then they called me after i had already waited an hour and said they didn't have the parts to fix my phone. they told me that i would have to pay $10 for a "restock fee" ? a fee they are responsible for as a business after they had already wasted my time. then when i went to go pick up my phone and it had a huge scratch on it that hadn't been there before. they were not even nice and apologetic about all of the mess ups that had happened... read more
