I needed a watch battery right away while in port and they were able to take care of it right away.

I understand about protecting people during COVID but this place was ridiculous. They only let 2 people in at a time, crazy. I had dropped a watch off for a battery (took 2days), then I go to pick it up an there happened to be 2 people inside looking a jewelry and the door was locked. They were looking at everything in the store so I was standing outside which seemed like forever. Instead of coming to the door to acknowledge I was waiting or even see why I was there... nope. So I left, it was just ridiculous all I wanted to do was pick up the watch, pay the $15 and be on my way. I don't think I'll be back to shop there. Also the watch battery was in a waterproof watch now they open the watch and now tell me that they don't guarantee the watch being waterproof again. WTF read more

Minus 1 star. I went in to change a watch battery. I was told I had to leave it and it might be ready before Christmas! It Nov 28th! It's a five minute job. Don't waste your time here. read more

Mostly gold jewelry, it seemed; I was looking for charms for my charm bracelet, and in the case they had gold, but when asked they pulled out a small tray of silver from behind the counter. I bought a pretty silver pineapple for less than $20 and am very happy with it. They are conveniently located in the string of Bayfront shops in downtown Hilo (at the end). read more

Very courteous and helpful staff. They were able to repair my watch band quickly and at a reasonable cost. I first went to another business but was told that they don't carry watch bands and that they would have to send it away for evaluation and cost would run about $50, more than three times the cost. read more

Great staff and very friendly. Took my diamond studs in for a cleaning and to repair the posts which had bent. Was not disappointed!

On a brief stop in sleepy Hilo town and out of curiosity I entered this store adjacent to Sig Zane's that looked like it hasn't changed since 1962 or so. I picked out a pair of Koa rings for half the price of the fancy stores and I still can't say enough about the friendly service. No wonder they are still in business. read more

Clean. Helpful and very friendly staff. Found the perfect diamond band to go with my solitaire. Found lots of little affordable jewelry to take back home. Very happy. Droppped of watches for batteries replacement; said jeweler out, but watches ready in 3 days & they would call me. Waited and waited for more than a week. So I called them for status, gave them my receipt no.; they said could not find article, but would call me when found. Waited for couple days. Disgusted, I went to store to demand my watches. Said they tried calling me; they produced 4 watches, but replaced only 2 new batteries; Made all kinds of excuses why other 2 not fixed;(jeweler was in at the time but never made a point to talk to me).Paid for 2 replacements and took the other expensive watches with me. I was dubious about this store at the beginning but wanted to give it a try as the jeweler had a special tool to open up my expensive watches. BEWARE. READ THIS. BASED ON FACTS. Took watch in to change battery. Went back 4 days later to pick watch up. When I got there the girl went to the back room to get my watch, when she returned she noticed that my watch was not working and returned it to the back room. I waited awhile in the store, the sales girl said they may have forgotten to change my battery. At last, my watch was ready and working. A couple of days later I noticed that it stopped working. I did not have a chance to immediately take it back to them but finally did. A few days later, I got a call from Crystal who said the watch was not working because the battery acid had leaked into the movement parts. I then questioned her about the battery, why would a battery do that, was the battery defective, was it old. She then retracted her information and said " well, we're not sure if its the battery" and then insinuated that I did not get the battery changed there even though she stated to me that she rememberd my watch !and she's the one that actually changes the batteries. !!! I asked to have her talk to the jeweler to get the correct information-jeweler not in until Saturday. I get a call back from her, saying the jeweler says its from corrosion. I believe the battery they used was either defective or old that it would leak. I believe the leakage caused the so called "corrosion". Corrosion just does not suddenly start, why if there was corrosion did they not saying anything to me when I waited in there store for the battery to be changed. They did not offer any resolution to this situation. I will tell everyone -family and friends- I will post my experience on all Internet sites. read more
