Went in to get my iPhone 11 Pro screen repaired after an unfortunate accident shattered the screen. Pros: quick, mediocre "fix". Acceptable for those with old devices where no warranties are covered. Cons: I was not informed before consenting to fix that my iPhone would always have the software error status that Apple cannot verify that the screen is an Apple certified screen. This voids any and all warranties through Apple, including Apple Care. Customers should be informed that this status will always be present before consenting to having their iPhone serviced by Phone Guru. The alert will never go away. I would also say, for anyone who comes in not knowing their Apple Care status, that Phone Guru should inform them of the status of their Apple Care before servicing their device. I was charged $140 plus tax to have the screen repaired. You might say I should have known this, and I understand trying to run a business and make money, but Roman didn't even mention that AppleCare was on my current device. Regardless, the repair screen is darker than the original Apple display, does not have Apple True Tone display features, is less clear, and regularly freezes and becomes unresponsive to the touch screen, requiring that I click one of the side buttons which puts the display to sleep in order for the touch screen to be responsive again. Also, my cellular service has been impacted and is much slower to respond than it was prior to the fix. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this business for any repairs. You're better off sending them in to Apple and paying their fees. For old devices which aren't covered though, this is a good choice if you're in a pinch while on vacation, or have a much older device. read more

Very Disappointed, had my phone screen replaced here and two days later the screen cracked after no drops or bumps. When I brought it in to be fixed under the "limited warranty", I was accused of lying about my screen. He said the warranty doesn't cover my phone and when I asked what the warranty covered I never really got an answer? I believe that either the phone screen was installed incorrectly or the glass was just extremely low quality. I would recommend sending your business elsewhere. read more

My mom's very old phone needed a replacement battery. We called ahead and he ordered the battery. When we arrived, he made the swap very quickly. The total cost was only $30. Much cheaper than Verizon's option to purchase a new phone. He was kind and patient with my mom. I would definitely go back. Please note we drove over from the Kona side.
