A great place for breakfast or lunch! The food is great and the menu is very simple and traditional with great prices and very local. The servers are very tentative. The atmosphere also had a very homely and friendly feel and the place is full of locals! Their pancakes are also very good and they have some well priced breakfast items.

Cute spot for lunch if you are in the area. Our server was friendly and everything came out quickly. I enjoyed the decor lol

This was the perfect last evening in Marathon. The sunset view and wonderful service made the experience great. Our food starting with oysters and then followed by lobster and fish was exquisite.

Excellent home style cafe with friendly staff, great food, and reasonably priced. I ordered their gator basket. It came out quickly, it was hot, chewy, moist, and delicious. Probably one of the best fried gator I've had. "Mimi", my server was polite, friendly, and on the ball. She came by several times to check on me and make sure everything was okay. I had to try their key lime pie because I she said it was really good, and it's a problem, lol. Anyhow, I ordered it, and she was right. I had a great meal and will certainly be back. Give them a try!

We stopped here for an early lunch on a weekday and found this place to be very charming and not crowded. There are cute little Knick knacks everywhere and our server was quick to take our drink order. The menu has lots of great choices and I settled on a Buffalo Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich with fries. The sandwich came nice and hot and was enjoyable. I love Buffalo chicken, but it often doesn't love me, but this wasn't too spicy so I enjoyed it. The sandwich was a good size and I didn't want to eat it all, but it was so good that I did. Our server was very attentive, but not Intrusive. Prices are reasonable for the area and I would absolutely return for a meal.

Atmosphere - Very Nice. Located in the heart of Everglades City, the cafe has a friendly vibe. The seating is primarily booths and the decor is eclectic. Service - Very Good. Entire staff is friendly and attentive. Food - Very Good. The menu is varied and has lots of popular entree and sandwich options. I had the Italian Sub, which came with a side of fries. The sandwich was a nice size. The ingredients and roll were fresh. There was plenty of meat and it had a great flavor. Overall Value - Very Good . The quality of food and the great service makes this restaurant a go to place when in the area.

This place is crazy good! We ordered everything from the fried food (gator, fried pickles, fried frog legs) to pizza to burgers to grilled chicken tacos and it was all excellent. Very laid back, lots of locals, relaxed attentive service. Much better food than the pricier restaurants we tried this week. Thank you Island Cafe! You made our off season vacation excellent!

A great local/hometown feel with some really good food and service. By no means fancy but fun and quirky. You're immediately greeted as you walk in and given the option to sit where you wish. A nice mix of locals chatting with the staff or other friends they ran into or like myself tourists looking for a nice place to have a great meal. Well I will say that I was not one bit disappointed. Jasmine, our waitress was friendly and checked in a few times to make sure things were good. I had the special of the day which was the Grouper Ruby. This was served with a salad, baked potato and veggies. As I was in the Everglades I washed it down with an Islamorada Citrus Ale. The grouper was cooked and seasoned well with that right off the grill feel. I made sure to leave enough room for dessert and was quite content with the piece of warmed up Pecan Pie, with whipped cream of course. I will certainly be back and not just for dinner as breakfast and lunch are also served. Enjoy!

Entertaining decor all over the place

Quick hearty breakfast. Exacly what we needed to get an early start to our day. Bonus points for coffee to go.

It is a casual seafood restaurant located on the Barron River which connects to the Gulf. There are a few parking spaces in front otherwise it's free street parking where you can find it. There is a school across the street so parking can fill quickly. Most of the seating area is outside so you enter and then find an empty table. Menus are on the table and then a server arrives and takes your order. If the weather is right sitting next to the water is a nice calming experience. I sat in a screen enclosed covered patio. My order was for the fried grouper sandwich with french fries and cole slaw for $27. Yes grouper is expensive. The meal arrived about 10 minutes later. The fried fish fillet sitting in on the long bun was HUGE and it looked delicious too. I was very happy and then I started to eat it. Everything with that sandwich was excellent except its taste. It was the batter for me. The taste wasn't bad at all but it didn't stand out to me. Whatever batter they use to fry with is not my favorite and that is the only reason I don't give a 4 score here. The french fries were excellent in taste and showed me that Triad's puts effort in making them. Also the slaw was cool and a nice palate cleanser. The table service was friendly and attentive. I like Triad's and would be happy to return. But I would probably try something else on the menu that isn't fried. The batter taste is my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree. Another fact about eating here is that they charge 3.5% more for credit cards use. With an iced tea, tax and tip, my lunch cost $40...kind of expensive for Everglades City, FL.

We also had planned to go back with a group later this year. First, even though we asked to be seated indoors, they insisted we sit outside. There were only two others at the restaurant. The inside was empty but the owner later explained they were cleaning it. I thought the prices were high and they offered no lunch specials. But, going on prior Yelp reviews, I was led to believe the food was above par. Sadly, the food was OK but not great, and not worth the price. To top it off, they automatically add a 20% tip. I know restaurants do that with large parties but certainly inappropriate for a party of two. Service was good but I don't like to be forced to pay an automatic 20% tip. Tipping is done based on how good your service is -- so I would get stuck paying 20% even if service was awful? What I found to be off putting were the responses from the owners to reviewers; particularly, on Google. They accuse everyone who posts a bad review of posting a fake review and/or they got extremely defensive. Wow! How about a little humility and attempts to fix things. Sure wish I had seen the Google reviews prior to making my trip to Everglades City. I chose this place due to the great Yelp reviews I read. I should have checked all of the reviews because the bad ones were way more accurate.
