The sliders are the best. Large tea and some cheese sticks is the way to go after a long day of trying not to cry.

Really enjoyed the chicken salad and Indian taco. Fresh food, large portions. Great place to stop off on 41.

Island Cafe had several cars parked in front so I thought that was a good sign. This is a table service restaurant and I ordered the fried scallop dinner with a loaded baked potato and salad for $25. Then entree arrived about 15 minutes later. The salad had a little cheese on top of the greens with ranch dressing on the side. It was a good salad. The seafood came with several fried scallops and a couple of hush puppies along with a small ear of corn and the baked potato. What was missing was the cheese and bacon for the potato. The waitress disappeared so I wasn't able to get the missing bacon and cheese and had to make do with some butter for the tater. This was disappointing. The scallops were decent in taste but I couldn't get anymore cocktail sauce because of the missing waitress. This meal was substandard and I felt underwhelmed by the entire experience. The food was ok in taste but it didn't stand out to me and the table service was non existent. Perhaps Island Cafe is better than this but giving a 3 score is generous in my opinion.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and high quality. You can tell they take pride in what they serve, and it keeps us coming back. The pricing is also very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes and overall quality you get. It's one of those spots where you feel like you're getting your money's worth every time. Overall, this is definitely a go-to spot for us whenever we're in the area. Great food, solid prices, and consistent quality--we'll absolutely keep coming back.

It was definitely worth the ride fare from the beach. The food was very reasonably priced. I ordered conch (first time try) and onion rings and wings (Obama and lemon pepper). Even after the 20 min drive, the food was tasty! While there, the owner came in and shared his road to success. Before he told me, I told him how well ran the place was and how glad we decided to try it out. Everything was cooked just right and there was a lot to wings sauces to pick from. The staff were helpful offering suggestions based on popularity. Then there was this Oreo cookie cake.... Omg. For the record, I am a ketchup only with fries, cake or cookie, type of girl. But something in my spirit said, eat the cake Annie Mae, and Annie Mae did and was happy I did! It was moist, the right consistency of cake and cookie crumbs and was so good.... When you go, try it. Stop and get you some vanilla ice cream to go with it. You won't be disappointed. Kudos to the team at House of Wings. I can't wait to go again!

Our first visit we had the coconut shrimp (9/10), GF pasta bolognese (9/10), and a GF pizza (8/10). Our second visit we ordered the crab Rangoon (7/10), shrimp Alfredo (10/10), and another GF pizza which was delicious too. We recommend coming here to eat if you are like us and love to eat great food at a reasonable price. The place was very accommodating to our baby as well- with clean high chairs etc. The drinks were great and they have a great selection of gluten free food which is nice. Ricardo was our server the first night- he was great- always approached our table with a huge smile and had a great energy. The second night we had Jairo and he was wonderful. We arrived around pm so the restaurant was not busy. Hubby and I had our choice of seating. They have a full bar, separate pizza oven from the other kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is a little weird though. It's an Italian restaurant who plays sort of like cruise ship dinner music combined with sports on several tv's. There were several people working but one guy was the host, the bar tender, waiter and runner. He was pretty efficient but I'm not gonna lie, I watched him wipe his face several times without washing his hands. That sort of did it for me. Jinny's sandwich came out way before mine which wasn't a big deal as I know it typically takes awhile for a heavy pizza to bake. Not sure when I will learn, do not order deep dish pizza from a place that doesn't specialize in it. Just because you line a pan with crust does not mean it's deep dish. The sauce was ok but I would not order it again. It really was just a regular pizza with tall sides. Very underwhelming.

Pick a less busy restaurant if you want quiet. If you want quick service go to a fast food. Places like Marco Island, the Keys, the Caribbean and Hawaii operate on Island Time. People come there to chill out folks! Now that I have that off my chest. I've been here twice and ordered the Salmon grilled without any spices and it was perfect both times. We ordered the Italian sausage sandwich after seeing it on the website with sauce and green peppers, but when it arrived it was just the sausage on a bun with fries. It wasn't what we were expecting. The employee at the counter explained that's how it normally comes but she can add the toppings we wanted. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was tasty! My fries were forgotten, but once we mentioned it they brought them out for me. What really stood out was the customer service from Jo, the owner/manager. He personally came over, apologized for the confusion, and made sure the Italian sausage sandwich was remade with all the fixings so it was better than we expected. To top it off, he surprised us with complimentary cannolis to make up for the mix-up. You can tell this is a local favorite because several customers came in who clearly knew Jo, and it was nice seeing the relationships he's built with the community. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what matters is how they're handled. Jo went above and beyond to make sure we left happy, and that level of customer service is something I really appreciate. The guy working when I came in was very nice and welcoming!…read more I do think there are several updates that could really elevate this place because it has a lot of potential. First, the website could use a refresh. It would be great if it were more minimalistic, simple, and user-friendly. The online ordering system should allow customers to order directly through the website without having to download an app. Also, the phone number listed for calling the restaurant appears to be incorrect, and it's a bit confusing to have a phone number in the Instagram bio for online orders. The menu could also be more comprehensive. I specifically went for the protein waffle (50g protein!) because it looks amazing on Instagram, but I couldn't find it easily on the online menu. That felt surprising since it seems like such a standout item. All other menu items had macro content listed except this extremely good protein waffle macro content? It should absolutely be highlighted! It would also help to clearly state that it comes with sugar-free syrup and to list all available toppings directly on the menu and get it's own food section. I ordered the build-your-own protein waffle and a salted caramel Oreo protein shake. The waffle was definitely the star -- it looked great and came in a cute to-go box. The shake, however, wasn't as visually appealing because of the smiley face lid or as good as the waffle. Interestingly, the shakes are much more highlighted on the menu, but in my opinion, the waffle deserves to be front and center. From a branding perspective, I think the space could benefit from a softer, more feminine, health-focused aesthetic rather than a sports/bodybuilder vibe trying to sell protein powder. Think healthy sporty and cute. When I was there, it was mostly women coming in, so tailoring the branding to that audience could really strengthen the business. The Instagram could also be updated with higher-quality, professional-looking food and drink photos instead of customer and employee photos that don't showcase the products as well. Since Instagram is such a big driver for food spots, strong visuals would make a big difference. I liked the tables, greenery, signage, and mirror -- those elements felt clean and inviting. However, the photo canvases on the walls advertising deals looked a bit tacky. Also, the boba-style breakaway lids with smiley faces felt unnecessary -- clear or solid-colored lids would look more polished. Overall, this store has a lot of potential with a few thoughtful updates. I'd definitely come back for the waffle!
