    Grouper Sandwich
    Lisa A.

Fresh off the boat Stone Crab Claws, a view of the water and a cold drink. What more can you ask for? Triad is a great spot for local Florida seafood. The grouper sandwich is HUGE, claws are fresh, shrimp is large and cooked to perfection. No complaints here! Be sure to save room for a slice of key lime pie.

Beautiful area and seating. Waitress was pleasant as well. Food was okay, would probably try something else next time but my table got some other items that were good. Prices were on the higher end, about $35 for my drink and meal

Back again for a great meal. Ordered a Grouper Basket Fried just like last time. $26.99 Menu doesn't say Fillet or Fingers, Your choice. Before it was a fillet. SURPRISE.. Today it was Fingers. Still really good. I asked the server why the change. Said people complained when they got a fillet so they made the change to fingers. Would make more sense to give a choice. Still it is worth the drive if you want to take a road trip just to get away.

Great food! Had the large claws and gator bites! Service was phenomenal! Laid back old FL restaurant! I'll definitely be back our next drive through to the keys!

This is a great place to stop for a casual lunch before or after going on one of the nearby airboat tours. We had some stone crabs, fried green tomatoes, a grouper sandwich, with macaroni salad, hush puppies, and French fries on the side, along with cold beer. The food was great!

Take a ride through the Everglades and find your way to Triad seafood, one of our favorite places to visit. Beautiful setting with tables right on the water. Food that is ALWAYS on point; perfectly fried green tomatoes with feta cheese, delicious conch fritters, medium claws are an all time favorite and the side dishes do not disappoint (I have a hush puppy addiction!) Wrap that up with some great service and a refreshing beer...Sundays never felt so good . Ps...they do close at 4:00 on Sunday so don't be late!

Stone crab!! Delicious but not cheap.

If you make a trip down to Everglade City, I think Triad is worth a stop. We found it when visiting the area last year, and enjoyed it enough to return on our visit this year. This is a small fish market, and back home we would call a place like this "seafood in the rough". There are outdoor picnic tables, some covered and some seats overlooking the river. Fun to watch the pelicans and other wildlife. You are also permitted to throw your stone crab shells over the railing into the water. Not sure if the birds are interested, but there were quite a few pelicans! We came for the stone crabs and as expected they were fresh and delicious. The only pain point is the price. Stone crabs are expensive and it seems the price goes up every time. As it was lunch, we ordered one plate and split it for a very light lunch. Hush puppies and sweet potato fries were delicious. Coconut shrimp were OK, not among the best we've had in the area. Key lime pie was delicious! They seemed understaffed and service was slow. If you pack a cooler you can stop in the fish market and purchase some to bring home.

Fresh seafood. Every bite delicious. I had fried shrimp. Partner had the crab. Friendly server. Rustic and Right on the water.

Where the locals eat!!! This place was recommended to us by several locals. And, oh man, it delivered! Excellent seafood!!! The biggest Stone Crab I have ever had! I have had Stone Crab all over the country, and the price point is about the same and the size of the claw is about the same. For the same price point, Triad gives you a bigger claw. I guess that is the advantage of being a local, they have the pick, so to say....... I also got the soft shelled crab, locally sourced and the best soft shell crab I have ever had. Sitting out back, in the screened area provided a shaded view of the water. We really enjoyed our visit and the service was excellent.

Great service and good food with a view! Grouper was cooked just right and we loved the fried green tomatoes with feta!

    What is stone crab season?

Fishing companies can only catch Florida Keys stone crab between October and May each year. I was here in January and the stone crab claws were available.

We also had planned to go back with a group later this year. First, even though we asked to be seated indoors, they insisted we sit outside. There were only two others at the restaurant. The inside was empty but the owner later explained they were cleaning it. I thought the prices were high and they offered no lunch specials. But, going on prior Yelp reviews, I was led to believe the food was above par. Sadly, the food was OK but not great, and not worth the price. To top it off, they automatically add a 20% tip. I know restaurants do that with large parties but certainly inappropriate for a party of two. Service was good but I don't like to be forced to pay an automatic 20% tip. Tipping is done based on how good your service is -- so I would get stuck paying 20% even if service was awful? What I found to be off putting were the responses from the owners to reviewers; particularly, on Google. They accuse everyone who posts a bad review of posting a fake review and/or they got extremely defensive. Wow! How about a little humility and attempts to fix things. Sure wish I had seen the Google reviews prior to making my trip to Everglades City. I chose this place due to the great Yelp reviews I read. I should have checked all of the reviews because the bad ones were way more accurate.
