    BIG tiki drink
    Tharin W.

Isla Nu-Bar is a lot of fun! This tiki bar is in the lower lot if Universal Studios Hollywood and has a good array of tiki drink options. It's overpriced, but that's kind of expected at a theme park. My only issue was that I paid extra for the souvenir cup and they forgot and gave me a normal drink. When I showed I paid for the bigger drink they just poured the drink into the other cup and filled it with a bit of juice. Maybe the liquor amounts are supposed to be the same, but I felt a bit cheaped out. That being said, the drink was DELICIOUS and the souvenir cup is the nice, sturdy plastic, not the normal cheap flimsly cups you find at restaurants.

We decided to grab a couple drinks while waiting to check in for our reservation at Toadstool Cafe. The line wasn't too busy yet when we were in line, but still a bit of wait for drinks. My cousin and I both ordered the Spicy Jurassic Pearadise. It was okay. It had too much of the chamoy or syrup flavoring, so it was too sweet and syrupy consistency. It came with popping boba, which added to the sweetness, but also wasn't easy to drink with the regular-sized straws.

Alcohol always makes a theme park visit better If you're into rum based drinks, this is the bar you go to. It's located in the lower lot and Lines can get pretty long, it's one of the more popular places for drinks at USH. Three drinks I recommend here: Jurassic Water - If you're looking for something strong, this is probably your drink. Mix of different alcohols and one of the few drinks that isn't all sugar. It does sell out pretty often so I'd get this one early in the day Birds of Paradise - fruity flavors and refreshing. Not too strong but a good refreshing/tropical drink. Isla Nublar IPA - It's a USH "exclusive" (you can look up the brewery) a good beer. It's more citrus fruit forward and less hoppy for an IPA. Flavorful and refreshing. For about $19 (Latge size) you get a take home souvenir "glass" Generally the bar you go to for refreshing and fruity drinks at USH

    Tiki Tai $21

What I Ordered: -Tiki Tai $21 with an Etched Raptor Souvenir Cup I went here when the wife took our child to the bathroom. It was my only opportunity! She quickly shot eye daggers at me when they got out, but she was too late. Thank God the women's bathroom lines are longer than the drink line! Hehe! I'm a big fan of Tiki drinks. Ordering this was a no-brainer! It was a pretty good drink! The etched Raptor souvenir cup was pretty cool. I really try my best not to get sucked into buying souvenir cups, but I really couldn't help myself here. Erika helped give me some suggestions on what drinks to get. Reminder: One Drink per an ID. Line up together and show your IDs, or they won't let you order two drinks. I will definitely be back to try other drinks in the future!

This little bar inside Universal Studios is great. It's located in the lower lot next to the Jurassic Park ride. They have different types of tropical cocktails and beer on tap. I have tried a couple of their drinks, but I always go back to one of their most popular drinks, which is called Bird of Paradise (passionfruit rum, white rum, guava nectar, passionfruit puree, lime juice, orgeat). It's so good! It's served in a cute souvenir cup that you can take home. According to the bartender, they make about 200 of the Bird of Paradise drink per day, so that says a lot! There's no love to sit, but you can grab your drink and find a seat nearby, or you can take it with you and wait in line for your next ride.

Great place to get some island themed drinks between rides at universal. It's located in the lower lot and I enjoyed the pina colada. Yes, the alcohol does make a great experience at universal even better. You even get a novelty cup with the drink which was nice. They pour the drinks pretty light.

Excellent bar nestled within Universal Studios theme park in Hollywood California , located in the lower lot near the Jurassic ride & Mario world perfect adult pick me up! Staff is informative & the drink options are amazing & so refreshing, had to come back later in the evening for round 2!

If you want a ravingly good dino-drink then head down to the lower lot of Universal Studios and thank me later! There is an outstanding little bar called Isla Nu-Bar. You can get one of my favorite beers on tap, Mango Cart in 2 different sizes. It is located right next to the Jurassic World entrance. Also, we usually get my wife's favorite cocktail there, Bird of Paradise (Passionfruit rum, white rum, guava nectar, passionfruit puree, lime juice, orgeat). Very recommended! Also, their cups are souvenirs, so you can take them with you after you are done with your drinks. Go down and enjoy the dino town with Isla Nu-Bar!

They open at 10:30am FYI Located in front of Jurassic World, this is one of the only bars I know of in Universal that sells mixed drink cocktails/shots of hard liquor. I ordered their Tiki Tai cocktail which is passion fruit and pineapple juice with rum. I opted to get it in a souvenir etched dinosaur tiki cup for $19. The cup is super cute and drink tasted good but there was no alcohol in it!!!! My friend also ordered a drink with me and they tasted completely different. Mine was all sugar without the slightest bit of alcohol taste... for $19, I expected a pretty solid, strong cocktail. Oh well. If you are ordering a cocktail, be sure to watch the bartender and make sure they don't forget to add the alcohol lol

i've tried almost every drink on the menu and i will say only two is worth the money- jurassic water and pineapple cider. the other drinks are way too sweet and alcohol taste does not blend. but the jurassic water is one that i always get because of how strong it is and how the flavors are not too overwhelming. the pineapple cider is very tarte and tastes like sour candy. i love how refreshing it is and its a great alternative to sugary mixed drinks

Plain and simple...get their version of the Mai Tai. Wasn't even a hot day and went down easy but had a nice kick.

An ice cold tropical cocktail on a hot day. Bliss! Not a Fat Tuesday from Las Vegas. Alcohol is light, heavy on juice and sweetness. A refreshing delight for the lightweights. $20 for the largest size in tiki cup. A tad pricier than drinks at Mulligan's pub, but it's the only alcoholic slushee in the park. Overall can't complain, tastes amazing!

Bahama Mama 4/5 I really liked this drink. Very refreshing and fruity. Could have used more alcohol. Definitely would purchase again though. 16.99

The Duff just tasted like any beer to an unrefined palate, and the sour tasted mildly better due as it was fruitier. The bartender was very nice and great with his recommendation when we explained our taste preference. You can walk to the Krusty Burger from inside, so it can make for a good combo in Springfield. While the theming is fun, I'm worried for its relevancy to today's generation, as well as the impending doom due to IP ownership. I didn't have a good experience, but decided that it could have been a one-time bad luck thing, so I didn't review. I recently tried it again now that it became Brews Brothers, and I'm sorry to say that it really misses the mark for me. Here is the breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: One star for friendly service and being dog friendly. One star for good alcohol. Cons: - Seating is very uncomfortable. When this place was Stout, seating was very comfy. But for some reason, they've raised the bench seating WAY too high, to the point that your feet dangle if you're under 5'6". You're WAY above the table, and it's awkward and quite uncomfortable. - Food is sub-par. We tried an Okie burger and an ahi sandwich. The Okie burger was dry, tasteless, and underseasoned. The ahi sandwich was bland and unremarkable. The fries were far too overbreaded for my taste. I used to love this place, but now, after two not-great experiences with meh food and bad seating, I do not think I'll be back. Please, guys! Lower your bench seating and improve your burgers! You're competing with Forman's and Laurel Tavern!

They kept the food and drinks coming and frequently checked on us so kudos to them. Only obstacle was asking one of them a bunch of menu questions and food recommendations but he is vegan so had no opinions since most of the menu is meat. On to the food. The best things were the hummus/pita starter, and that's about it. The pretzel was ok but all 3 dips were not mustard based so lame. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs. While cutting them they squirted me which I thought was a good sign, but they had no flavor and basically no sauce. There is a fine line between charred and burnt and they started to cross the line, just tasted like burnt charcoal. I doused them in their original BBQ sauce and it actually made them worse; the sauce just tastes like liquid spice and also had no distinct flavor. Can't ruin fries... wrong! They were overly fried and any potato remnants had been cooked away. The coleslaw was not coleslaw, it was just chopped up purple cabbage, totally inedible. Some other food reviews from my coworkers. Fish and chips: dry Fried pickles: where are the pickles Miso cod: not good Bacon burger: also not good Chicken wings: you guessed it I also got one of 3 sour beer options, The Who Likes Orange Soda, which magically tasted like half sour beer half orange soda. It was ok but towards the end I just wished I had gotten a sour beer instead of an orange soda. Considering how poor the food quality is, I'd say the menu is wildly overpriced. The place has a chill vibe, so it's not a bad option to have a beer and watch some sports on TV, but I would highly advise eating before going so you are full and don't make the mistake of ordering food.
