This is my favorite place to get adult beverages at the park! Cocktails have a good amount of stiffness and are always delicious. It's always solid and consistent. The only downfall is that the drinks come with a collectible cup and I end up donating all of them after I take them home and wash them. When you place your order, you can choose what type of cup you'd like for an extra cost: Tiki cup, bamboo shoot cup, or standard plastic Hawaiian mask cup. Isla Nu-Bar is a lot of fun! This tiki bar is in the lower lot if Universal Studios Hollywood and has a good array of tiki drink options. It's overpriced, but that's kind of expected at a theme park. My only issue was that I paid extra for the souvenir cup and they forgot and gave me a normal drink. When I showed I paid for the bigger drink they just poured the drink into the other cup and filled it with a bit of juice. Maybe the liquor amounts are supposed to be the same, but I felt a bit cheaped out. We decided to grab a couple drinks while waiting to check in for our reservation at Toadstool Cafe. The line wasn't too busy yet when we were in line, but still a bit of wait for drinks. My cousin and I both ordered the Spicy Jurassic Pearadise. It was okay. It had too much of the chamoy or syrup flavoring, so it was too sweet and syrupy consistency. Alcohol always makes a theme park visit better If you're into rum based drinks, this is the bar you go to. It's located in the lower lot and Lines can get pretty long, it's one of the more popular places for drinks at USH. This little bar inside Universal Studios is great. It's located in the lower lot next to the Jurassic Park ride. They have different types of tropical cocktails and beer on tap. I have tried a couple of their drinks, but I always go back to one of their most popular drinks, which is called Bird of Paradise (passionfruit rum, white rum, guava nectar, passionfruit puree, lime juice, orgeat). It's so good! It's served in a cute souvenir cup that you can take home. According to the bartender, they make about 200 of the Bird of Paradise drink per day, so that says a lot! There's no love to sit, but you can grab your drink and find a seat nearby, or you can take it with you and wait in line for your next ride. read more

You can get one of my favorite beers on tap, Mango Cart in 2 different sizes. It is located right next to the Jurassic World entrance. They open at 10:30am FYI Located in front of Jurassic World, this is one of the only bars I know of in Universal that sells mixed drink cocktails/shots of hard liquor. I ordered their Tiki Tai cocktail which is passion fruit and pineapple juice with rum. I opted to get it in a souvenir etched dinosaur tiki cup for $19. The cup is super cute and drink tasted good but there was no alcohol in it!!!! My friend also ordered a drink with me and they tasted completely different. As some have said, perhaps not the strongest drinks (definitely not by my 'lush-like' standards), but they were quite tasty. And of course they're not cheap; you're in a theme park! i've tried almost every drink on the menu and i will say only two is worth the money- jurassic water and pineapple cider. the other drinks are way too sweet and alcohol taste does not blend. but the jurassic water is one that i always get because of how strong it is and how the flavors are not too overwhelming. the pineapple cider is very tarte and tastes like sour candy. i love how refreshing it is and its a great alternative to sugary mixed drinks read more

I personally don't think buying mixed drinks from the park is worth the money. Everything is measured precisely. Also, I feel like the "bigger" cups are deceptive because of the choice of words that the cashier uses to hell upsell. I could be wrong but I think all the cups have the same amount of liquid. I've been here a few times now and honestly the drinks are pretty good. Whether you try a mixed cocktail or a frozen slushee, everything we have tried so far (but not everything on the menu just yet) has been great! The tiki cups are cool too and you can keep both the "wood" versions and the clear plastic versions. As usual though, with theme parks come pricy options and these are pretty pricy. They don't give you a big cup and especially with the mixed cocktails, they are pretty small amounts for the prices. The slushees are a bit more so it might be worth it to grab a slushee read more

This is surprisingly not a bad tiki cocktail bar. HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Tiki Tai, although it is the most expensive item on the menu ($19). AVOID: The piña colada was basically cheap syrupy crap. It also did not have the smoothie consistency at all. They make their smoothies extremely watery. Disgusting. If you're looking to be hammered, this is not the place. They give you less than 1 centimeter of alcohol before they mix in the fruit juices and non-alcoholic additives. There's a line in the back for beer and blended drinks, but beware because that line (although shorter) takes a lot longer. There's only one cash register for the line in the back. read more

Walking around the downstairs area of Universal Studios, I kept seeing people walking around with tiki cups with drinks in them. It immediately caught my eye because they were so well presented. I got to the Isla Nu-Bar and the baristas were very nice and gave me their recommendations on the menu. They have cocktails, slushies, and beer. My friend got the rum runner and I got the bahama mama. Total came out to around $33 for both drinks so they were pretty pricey, but not totally unexpected for a theme park drink. You get to keep the cups, although the cups look like cheap plastic and I doubt you would use them much later. They were some of the prettiest drinks I've had! They place a flower on the inside as well. Definitely A+ for presentation. But the drinks themselves were just okay. The rum runner tasted good but it had a cherry cough syrup aftertaste and it's hard to finish because it's so sweet. You can find this outside bar almost right at the center of the lower lot right after you hop off the escalators. There usually is a long line if you go during the busy hours at the park (like the weekends) but the wait isn't as long as you'd assume. With the many staff members working on taking your orders and making your drinks I was able to order and receive by drink much faster than I expected and get in line for my next ride. And even if there was a wait I don't mind with these delicious drinks. I've tried some of there selections, like the Tiki Tai and Ti Peach (both as expected, delicious for a classic drink and a peach twist). But my favorite so far is the Birds of Paradise. It's got a bit of texture when you drink it but the mix is so good, especially if you like passion fruit. They also serve beer. And they serve slushy drinks for when it gets too hot out, that's what I'm going to try next. read more

It's not really a mai tai type of flavor but I suppose that's what it'd be closest to. God bless Universal and the ability to drink freely while walking around the park. The drinks, full stop, are good. Hella sweet. You're more likely to catch brain freeze than a buzz. They are also expensive at $16-ish in a "collectible" cup which you can save for refills at a discount (who is going to do this??) Are the drinks authentic tiki like you'll find at Tiki Ti in Silver Lake or Tonga Hut in the Valley? Absolutely not. But you're at a theme park - neither authenticity nor saving money should be your primary concern. It's basically a walk-up outdoor bar, not even sure if there are stools or anything. You can take your drink and sit over by the Panda Express, or maybe camp out on a bench by Jurassic World watching everyone get drenched. Get a photo for the 'gram (drinks are presented more attractively than your average theme park fare, I'll give them that), pray the sun is shining and knock back your drink while you wait in line. You can top it off with other drinks elsewhere in the park later. read more

I am so glad they added this bar to the park! It is beautifully themed and includes a wide array of tropical cocktails and pre-blended Margaritas. I ordered the Bahama Mama and a Ti Peach. The cocktails are much stronger as they are made on the spot. The machine margaritas are just as good just not as strong but very icy and refreshing on a hot day in the park. The souvenir tiki carved cup is super cute and lets you purchase a refill for $12.
