I was craving a cold adult beverage that wasn't a beer. I saw that they served frozen Butterbeer at the bar and thought to ask if it had alcohol in it. It doesn't, but you can order a separate shot of your favorite spirit, drink a little off the top of the Butterbeer, pour the shot and mix with a straw. I opted for a Jameson shot and it was a nice combo! Will have to try rum next time! The bartender looked annoyed when asking if the Butterbeer had alcohol in it as it was being served here. Butterbeer is pricey ($9), but I am content with my order and unique experience. The cold butterbeer is very bubbly/carbonated. Its top foam is also foamy and sweet. The liquid itself is similar to cream soda seltzer water. I found myself better enjoying the beverage after swirling together the top's sweet cream and liquid. However, they only provide paper straws. If you wait too long, your paper straw will eventually fall apart. The area is busy and clean. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. Amazing experience! Not only did we feel completely immersed in the wizarding world, but it was such a treat to be able to eat food and drink that we would've found in Harry Potter! Despite the large amount of people, the place was pretty clean and well kept. We got through the ordering line pretty quickly, and the food was ready about 10 minutes later. We ordered the Shepherds Pie, Chicken Salad, and Bangers and Mash with a Butter Beer and Pumpkin Fizz. The Pumpkin Fizz was one of the most delicious things I've ever had! My daughter enjoyed the Butter Beer and her Shepherds Pie. My Bangers and Mash was on the cold side, but had a lot of flavor. The salad was quite large and filling. Everything was way too expensive, but that's amusement parks for you! It was about the same in comparison to other places and the amount of food you got was well worth the price. This is the only place to grab alcohol in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, UH. They open for business at 10am, no sooner. So no libations until then. The pub connects to the Three Broomsticks. It's on the farthest side opposite of the food ordering line of 3B. To order drinks at the pub, you can saddle right on up to the barkeep. They serve drinks only including butter beer (non and alcoholic version), pumpkin juice, beers, wines, bottled Gilly water, etc. You can even order the same non alcoholic drinks at the 3B. There is an animatronic hog's head mounted above the bar. But darn, the two times I was there I didn't get to see it move or grunt. Not sure if it does. The other older reviews mentioned it did. Nice little Irish bar adjacent to Three broomsticks restaurant at Harry Potter park. We chose to stay here to relax and get away from crowds. They had beer and wine even Jameson Irish whiskey. Butterbeers had no alcohol in them so we got Jameson doubles to put them in. Butterbeer tasted a bit too sweet for me, I liked the house Chardonnay, hubby liked Guinness. There was only two bar seats at the bar but they were vacant the entire time. Lines for drinks were long, mostly parents getting beers to get through the day I guess. This small bar is a must visit. Not a lot of people know that you can spike your butter beer here. So, let's keep that a secret. This bar offers a limited selection of spirits and draft handles. No food is sold here but you can purchase food on the opposite end of this area. In addition, this bar also has a off-the-menu drink list which you can always ask the bartenders about. They don't offer seating at the actual bar top but there is seating available nearby. I always enjoy watching the animatronic hog head that is on the back wall of the bar which you cannot miss. There is also a set of stairs right next to the bar, which is not accessible, but interesting to hear a looping audio clip of imaginary things happening on the "upstairs floor". The Dragon Scale is a little more hoppy, which is what I like. The lines were not long at all when we went. Service is nice, and they had two registers taking drink orders when we were there. It was surprisingly quick. We sat in the back patio/dining area of Three Broomsticks and had a great time. If you're a Harry Potter fan and enjoy drinking beer, this is your spot. I had a fun time here. The Butterbeer with a shot of Bailey's is amazing rich. It's a sugar overload, but that is expected when you come to Universal anyways, so it's perfectly excusable. Even at noon, The line inside this pub was much smaller than other places that serve butterbeer, plus they have alcohol (which is nice considering how scarce that is in Theme parks). Their dragon shaped tap is red lager, and I don't know what the Snake shaped tap is, but feel free to ask the bartender the name of that. Price wise was close to $12 including a shot in the butterbeer, and of course you'll have to mix it. Prices are $7.50 for Butterbeer alone, and I think beer on tap range from $9-$12. Is it stupid pricey? Yeah it is, but given I was already in the park, and butterbeer is something you can only get here, I was obviously not going to leave without trying the alcoholic version. I give them huge props because, having never had butterbeer before, I got the regular, non-frozen kind, my kid sister I was here with got the frozen kind, and then after taking a sip of each of them, said "dang it, the frozen one is way better, wish I'd gotten that one", and the bartender asked if I wanted to swap, which was super cool of them (though I'm sad that means they probably just tossed my whole previous glass, seems like a waste, but still.) Anyway, I wouldn't stand in the huge line I saw later in the day, but we just beat the lunch rush (got there around 11:20 AM), so as far as price goes, yeah it's a bit pricey (I believe it was $9.50 for a boozy butterbeer), and yeah, it's not a huge amount of alcohol (one shot at most), but it does *taste* delicious. The whiskey choices were JD, Jameson or the no-brand cinnamon whiskey. Not a huge fan of JD or Jameson, so I went with the cinnamon, and it was pretty dang delicious. My sister went with rum, and said hers was delicious too. Also, importantly, you can get food from 3 Broomsticks, then drop your food at a table, run and get a boozy butterbeer, and have them together.
