Love Hogs Head, Moe's Tavern has always been my go to for getting a beer but now I go back and forth from Hogs Head bar. The ambiance and setting is really cool. Definitely recommend this place. They have liquor options, different beer options that include a Red Ale, IPA and angry orchard. Service is quick and very welcoming.
Accio Butterbeer! If you love Harry Potter and already paid the Universal Studios admission, this non-alcoholic beverage is a must. Butterbeer is pricey ($9), but I am content with my order and unique experience. The cold butterbeer is very bubbly/carbonated. Its top foam is also foamy and sweet. The liquid itself is similar to cream soda seltzer water. I found myself better enjoying the beverage after swirling together the top's sweet cream and liquid. However, they only provide paper straws. If you wait too long, your paper straw will eventually fall apart. The area is busy and clean. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. The surroundings successfully recreate that Harry Potter Movie aesthetic feel. Overall, I enjoyed my beverage. Butterbeer is refreshing and novel. I won't ever Obliviate this memory! Yum!
This is the only place to grab alcohol in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, UH. They open for business at 10am, no sooner. So no libations until then. The pub connects to the Three Broomsticks. It's on the farthest side opposite of the food ordering line of 3B. To order drinks at the pub, you can saddle right on up to the barkeep. They serve drinks only including butter beer (non and alcoholic version), pumpkin juice, beers, wines, bottled Gilly water, etc. You can even order the same non alcoholic drinks at the 3B. There is an animatronic hog's head mounted above the bar. But darn, the two times I was there I didn't get to see it move or grunt. Not sure if it does. The other older reviews mentioned it did. Anyways, the pub area and adjoining 3B share a dining area. The detail of the design is just super cool. Even if you don't eat or drink there, come on in to take a gander.
Amazing experience! Not only did we feel completely immersed in the wizarding world, but it was such a treat to be able to eat food and drink that we would've found in Harry Potter! The staff were dressed to play the part and extremely friendly when ordering. As expected, it was extremely busy and very hard to find a table, but with a little patience, we finally got one. Despite the large amount of people, the place was pretty clean and well kept. We got through the ordering line pretty quickly, and the food was ready about 10 minutes later. We ordered the Shepherds Pie, Chicken Salad, and Bangers and Mash with a Butter Beer and Pumpkin Fizz. The Pumpkin Fizz was one of the most delicious things I've ever had! My daughter enjoyed the Butter Beer and her Shepherds Pie. My Bangers and Mash was on the cold side, but had a lot of flavor. The salad was quite large and filling. Everything was way too expensive, but that's amusement parks for you! It was about the same in comparison to other places and the amount of food you got was well worth the price. We would definitely come back the next time we visit the park! Great experience and great food!
Came here a few days ago to grab some fresh butter beer and it was a fun time. Originally thought the place was small like a pub, but was surprised to see a good amount of seating beyond the server area. Cool atmosphere which gives you the Harry Potter world feel. Staff was nice and efficient, and the drink was really delicious. Well worth the slight wait (versus getting it from a vendor outside)!
Hog's Head is a cute little bar that shares a seating area with Three Broomsticks within the Wizarding World of Harry at Universal Studios Hollywood. If all you want is a drink, head into their separate entrance and avoid the lines of Three Broomsticks. Drinks only and if you see the hog head on the wall, you're in the right place. Pro-Tip: They also have butterbeer here if you want to avoid the lines at the main Butterbeer cart out in Hogsmeade. Yep, they have butterbeer, pumpkin juice, gilly water and an array of liquors. Most notably for me, as a beer chick, are their Wizarding World of Harry Potter beers. Dragon Scale™ (5.3% Red Ale) - $16.00 and Hogs Head Brew™ (5.5% Scottish Ale) - $16.00 are the signature beers here and both are solid. $16 for a plastic glass of 'em is pushing it though, lol. But I'll admit it's fun to log these park exclusive beers on the app. Dragon Scale is a more fun name but if you're after flavor, Hogs Head Brew is the better of the two. Now go drink and be merry!
Not really a Harry Potter fan. Wanted to try the butterbeer hype since every raves about it. I was pretty lucky there wasn't a line. The worker did say the soda is sweeter than the slushy. Personally, I think it's okay. It does have a hint of butterscotch.. which I like. Overall, I wouldn't get it again.
Only here for butterbeer ( not really a fan of it by the way) and last night for the fireworks . Highly recommend for the ones that do like to spike their drink :)
Who doesn't love a good pub for a hearty drink after a long day? Stop in to this cozy pub themed after the Harry Potter universe as the service is quick and friendly. The decor reminds me of a few old pubs I've visited across England, and makes me miss my family who resides there. There is more than just alcohol, so if you don't partake grab a butter beer here. I suggest the frozen version as it was perfect for a warmer day in May, and mighty tasty might I add. Cheers Witches and Wizards!

I'd think Jameson or a dark rum might be good. Some people love the cinnamon whiskey combination but I think that would cancel out the butterscotch flavor. There's also a Hog's Tea- like a Long Island Iced Tea and a Hog's Bite- Cider & Beer combined. Then there's a Triple: Cider, Beer & Guinness. There is a roaring HOG'S HEAD at the bar. It moves from side to side and grunts too! Entertaining while you stand in line looking for a menu that doesn't exist! There is no annual pass holder discount on alcohol. The seating is catch-as-catch-can in the few tables in the pub and adjacent Three Broomsticks dining room. There's outdoor seating as well. Restrooms are conveniently one door down on the left. Say hello to Moaning Myrtle in the Ladies' Room!
i used to not like butterbeer but i find myself craving it now LOL i love the frozen one since it tastes less sweet. super refreshing on a hot day and i love the slush texture
Can't complain or expect too much for amusement park food but I was pleasantly surprised with my meal! The plates are pretty loaded, and yes the turkey was dry but it's def the better food in the park. Looking for seating was a challenge but I def got lucky.

There's a handful of themed drinks as well as some non-magical options everyone should be familiar with: Stella Arois, Guinness, etc. I tried the namesake Hogs Head Brew, which was a simple red ale. I found it pleasant, having a sweeter and lighter finish compared to other boozy beverages. For the under twenty one crowd or for those who prefer things sweet, Butterbeer is a fizzy non-alcoholic drink that tastes like a combination of cream soda and butterscotch. It's very refreshing and well worth a try. Theme parks are not just for young ones, there's plenty of fun for the adults as well!
I had the most magical time here! It was everything I expected and more. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and you cannot come here without trying the Butterbeer! I was craving a cold adult beverage that wasn't a beer. I saw that they served frozen Butterbeer at the bar and thought to ask if it had alcohol in it. It doesn't, but you can order a separate shot of your favorite spirit, drink a little off the top of the Butterbeer, pour the shot and mix with a straw. I opted for a Jameson shot and it was a nice combo! Will have to try rum next time! The bartender looked annoyed when asking if the Butterbeer had alcohol in it as it was being served here. I'm sure he gets this question all the time. Some people don't know since it's served at the bar. Noted for next time. So if you're looking for that kick in your Butterbeer, come here! Spiked Butterbeer?!?! No way! I was surprised to find that this is a full-on bar, inside Hogsmeade at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. What's funny is, I have been to Hogsmeade before but missed the Hog's Head. Maybe I was more focused on the rides at Hog's Head, or the wands. I made sure, to stop by this bar on my recent visit. It was worth the stop! The drinks are delicious! Good service too. The experience is worth it. read more

I love the ambience in this place; naturally, the service is impeccable but it's also it's a great place to duck in and get a quick drink after you've walk throughout Universal theme park. There's a huge selection of alcoholic drinks, as well regular, ole Butterbeer. read more
Try the "secret menu" drinks!! This is by far the best place to get drunk in the park. I ordered the frozen butterbeer (which was delicious on its own) and a shot of fireball on the side. To be honest, the fireball ruined the flavor of the butterbeer so I recommend trying a different type of alcohol in there if you decide to ~elevate~ your Hogwarts experience in this way. The Hog's Tea is very tasty! This is basically a Long Island Iced Tea, but (according to my Google searches) they use raspberry iced tea instead of cola. 10/10 recommend. Though the rides were fun before I found my way to Hog's Head Pub, they were even more exciting after a couple of drinks! read more
Nice little Irish bar adjacent to Three broomsticks restaurant at Harry Potter park. We chose to stay here to relax and get away from crowds. They had beer and wine even Jameson Irish whiskey. Butterbeers had no alcohol in them so we got Jameson doubles to put them in. Butterbeer tasted a bit too sweet for me, I liked the house Chardonnay, hubby liked Guinness. There was only two bar seats at the bar but they were vacant the entire time. Lines for drinks were long, mostly parents getting beers to get through the day I guess. Drink prices were a little high but it was a great experience to drink at this Hog's head pub from Harry Potter. The bar looks exactly like in the movies. I was just glad this cute little pub was away from the crowds and very relaxing the entire time! read more

There are many locations where you can get butter beer around the Harry Potter section of universal studios. And you can get it as a regular butterbeer or frozen. But at the hogs head you can make your drink more special by buying a shot of Jameson, vodka, rum, or fireball. Before you add your shot you should drink a bit of your butterbeer because when you add your shot because it would overflow. I've tried it with a regular and frozen butterbeer. The regular butterbeer will have a stronger kick with the alcohol and the frozen one can hide the taste of the alcohol better because it is sweeter. I prefer to get mine with Jameson. And the hogs head also sells other drinks like beer, wine, and mead. read more

This place is awesome to cool down and grab a drink on a hot summer day. They have different beer on tap but I always get their cider with fireball. If you don't like waiting outside for butter beer, this place has them too! They also have pumpkin juice. Definitely a place to check out and grab a drink or two and cool off. Service is great, the bartenders will give you a run down of what drink they have on tap. read more

Couldn't go to Universal without stopping at Hog's Head Pub. This Harry Potter classic is located in the back of the Three Broomsticks restaurant, and features three specialty Harry Potter beers on tap: Hog's Head Red Ale, Dragon Scale Red Lager, and Wizard's Brew Stout. Of course, they have your Butterbeer needs taken care of, as well as wine and other alcohols. I tried the Hog's Head Ale and Dragon Scale, which both were excellent. The Dragon Scale is a little more hoppy, which is what I like. The lines were not long at all when we went. Service is nice, and they had two registers taking drink orders when we were there. It was surprisingly quick. We sat in the back patio/dining area of Three Broomsticks and had a great time. If you're a Harry Potter fan and enjoy drinking beer, this is your spot. The decor and ambiance is on point. The large, animated hog head hanging over the bar is a great touch. Feel free to stop in, order your drinks, and take them on-the-go too if you don't want to stay. I'd recommend spending some time here exploring the drinks, however. I would definitely return next time I find myself in Universal. Go ahead and check this place out! read more

Connected to the Three Broomsticks (which is actually where the food comes from, they don't take the food orders at the bar's pub), it's a cute well-themed bar. They've always been quick and helpful and I can't express how much I love all of He Hogsmeade atmosphere. The only building (as you can also get it in the food line at Three Broomsticks if I'm not mistaken) that offers hot butterbeer. read more

I had a fun time here. The Butterbeer with a shot of Bailey's is amazing rich. It's a sugar overload, but that is expected when you come to Universal anyways, so it's perfectly excusable. Even at noon, The line inside this pub was much smaller than other places that serve butterbeer, plus they have alcohol (which is nice considering how scarce that is in Theme parks). Their dragon shaped tap is red lager, and I don't know what the Snake shaped tap is, but feel free to ask the bartender the name of that. Price wise was close to $12 including a shot in the butterbeer, and of course you'll have to mix it. Prices are $7.50 for Butterbeer alone, and I think beer on tap range from $9-$12. A little high, but worth it to try for the first time. Oh, they always check ID's, even if you look old. It's super fun and you have to go once whenever you're over 21. read more

What's a totaly bummer was that there are only 3 theme drinks but the plus about those drinks were that they got me buzzed lol. Price is pretty standard. The place was also pretty dirty all over the place lol. Typical of a bar? Anyways we just moved our drinks to the broomsticks side and enjoyed our time there. read more

I really enjoyed the cool and dark atmosphere on a warm day. Great place to relax after a mid day summer bake session waiting in line for a ride. Bartender was friendly. Beer was cold. The pub and adjoining restaurant is beautiful. See photo read more
