I was pleasantly surprised by this place! The food was authentic and the prices weren't over the top. I had a prickly pear margarita which was amazing. A bit overpriced on the margaritas, but they also have draft beer which is more reasonably priced. My husband ordered the carne asada which was very tender and delicious. I order the combo - 1 taco and 1 enchilada. The taco shell was homemade and amazing! I would for back for just the tacos. Good atmosphere! Good food! read more

Favorite spot for happy hour! The frozen margaritas are incredible and so is the food! Service is always outstanding and we love coming back to this spot! read more

Place is very comfortable and inviting and the staff is wonderful! The food was also fantastic and they have lots of choices when it comes to a bit of everything. I got a mahi mahi plate and my husband ordered the chili verde. We of course shared each others food and both dishes were amazing! Definitely will be going back soon to take advantage of their great happy hour menu for some margaritas! Can wait to try the chile relleno and enchiladas next time we come! Definitely will be out spot for nicer sit down dinner of fantastic Mexican dishes. Keep up the great work guys! read more

This is one our favorite places to order take out. So yummy! Love the chicken enchiladas. The other night I ordered through Door Dash and enchiladas wasn't listed. I called the restaurant just to make sure I wasn't missing it. They were confused as well and said to order a substitute and they would send enchiladas instead. I was very impressed with their accommodations. I got what I wanted and was very happy with their service. Love this place! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I found it to be just OK. The Decor was very cute and the atmosphere could've been nice but the music was blaring so loudly. I asked her server if I could turn it down a little bit but they did not. When there's only a few people I don't know why they have music so loud. Oh well. Food was just OK. I was not overly impressed. I do not think I will go back. I can find other Mexican restaurants I like better. read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I've lived in AZ my whole life. I thought the prices were very reasonable for how big the portions were. And the skinny margarita was good. The skinny mango marg was way too sweet but overall everything was delish read more

Live music and jalepenos. Spice up the night with smooth jams from a recent contestant from The Voice. The cheese crisp is a perfect starter, then consider the Chili Relleno or a vegetarian burrito. Good variety for kids meals that include combin churro ice cream for just $6. A well designed restaurant, with talented chefs, delightful servers and a trendy atmosphere. Check this place out on your next high end mexican whim. I bet you'll agree that they have something special here. read more

Isabel's Amor - Mexican Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

All I can say is thank God for billboards. I found this place because I remember to "look up Marlon and say cheese". Lol. Thank God I did because this restaurant was the most sophisticated quiet Spanish restaurant I've visited in a very long time. The Mexican food was fresh and the staff was even more fresh and friendly. The bartender started me with one of their new drinks which was a pineapple margarita. After finding out why it was new and had not been confirmed to the menu, she was quick to replace it without any regards. Their goal was to make sure I was satisfied and that everything was good. After the bartender prepared me what I would like to describe as the most perfect mango margarita I have ever had in my life. I had no more words. As they all twirled to make sure that I had chips salsa (complementary of course) and a fresh handmade flour tortilla to accompany my skirt steak. The El Presidente meal was almost perfect. From the flavorful steak to the cheese enchilada I was in heaven. Only reason why this place did not need a to go box was because the poblano pepper took up over half the plate. I'll admit I was not a fan before I walked in, so I can't blame it on Isabella for not steering me to the other side. I found this particular version of this dish, however to be almost intolerable. That is why I left it. But everything else was GOOD. This the first time in a long time I never took a to go box. I walked out full and satisfied and feeling slightly buzzed. This place is a little farther out of the city because it's in Gilbert but I promise you it was worth the drive and it felt like only five minutes riding home with a pleasant taste buds lingering of the love that I felt for Miss Isabella read more

Wow, oh wow! Megan totally hooked us up! She was such a great server, and she had the sweetest smile! She gave us a Best service. If I could write her 11 stars out of 10 I would, she did such a good job. I'll be back just to sit in her section! Thanks so much, Megan, you made our day! read more

Our food was great, but our dessert of Flan was outstanding. Shout out to the flan man !

This was our first time here and it was amazing!!!! Service was perfect. Sam was so friendly and knowledgeable! My husband had the fajitas and loved them. He wished it came with one more tortilla, but Sam fixed that and brought him one right away. The rest of us had the Three Amigos Tacos. They did not disappoint. We even added a Crispy Chicken taco and it was so good! There was live background music that was super enjoyable. Overall, amazing experience and we will be back! read more

We LOVE this place. The food is always very good & authentic as is the service. We especially like the margaritas and tacos. The newly remodeled space is also very nice. read more

We've given this place three tries and they're out! This last time (Friday night) we tried chicken enchiladas and the Power Bowl. The chicken was dry and the power bowl was bland. We've been trying to find a good Mexican restaurant in Gilbert for a while now. Usually if the food is bad we can at least fill up on the chips and salsa, but even those were not good here. We actually can't think of anything we enjoyed about our visit, even the Coke was flat! My only consolation is writing a bad review (which I rarely do.) read more

What a great dining experience! Live band, great house margaritas, the wait & bar staff were seriously ON TOP OF IT!!! We had the carne asada plate and omg sooooo good! We had such a great experience. Definitely coming back again soon! read more

One of the most unique and tasteful Mexican experiences you could have! Not just your average Mexican Food.

Love the food. Love the Margaritas. Great service and nice ambiance. All that and it is close to home. Perfect.

So, this place is an offshoot of Poncho's in south phoenix (not Panchos the buffet, bleh...but PO-NCHOS) and also Someburros. The Vasquez family that started Ponchos has also opened up this restaurant. So imagine the Ponchos food but in a much better setting! And, since i believe Ponchos quality of food has went down in the last 2 years, this place is a great replacement! The beans and rice taste just like Ponchos but the main course food is actually better!....that's right, Better! and the tortillas are amazing! The only reason i dont give it 5 starts is because the service is a little slow. The staff is very nice and professional, but its just a little slow in my humble opinion. read more

very disappointed . order on Uber eats. hair in one of fajitas. we had three order of fajitas and got a total of three small tortillas, seriously. was so excited to try after reading about TX competition, and now so disappointed read more

I am visiting my nieces in AZ & my family suggested that I eat Mexican food here! Surely didn't disappoint! Hands down best Mexican food in the valley! We ordered the cheese crisp, bean dip for appetizers. Amazing!! I had the tamale and beef enchilada. Again, amazing! My nieces had the kids tostada's & bean burrito & the plates were great portions for children. The service is on point. We left here very happy. If I eat Mexican food again before I leave, this will surely be the place. read more

Coming from LA where we have some pretty good Mexican restaurants, but nothing this nice. The inside is so beautifully decorated, the bathroom had a nice modern feel and was super clean. The service was so refreshing. The girl was nice and we felt so welcomed. We ordered the street corn for an appetizer and it was so good. Just like the elote man, just in a bowl and even tastier. I ordered a salad which was so tastey. It came with heavy helpings of chicken, cucumber, corn, beans, avocado, tortilla chips. I think it was one of the best salads I have had. Super yummy. The kids meals came with rice and beans, a drink, and ice cream. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dish. Once they bring you the check they give everyone at the table a little package of those chicklet gums. Definitely a place to eat at if you're in the area or live around here. read more

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Not too loud. Food and drinks were great! Service was good but could have been more attentive. We had to ask for refills. Quaint restaurant but the seats are hard and very cold; cushions would help a lot! read more

One of our favorite spots. The carnitas cheese crisp is a must. We get it with extra carnitas. The vibe is fun and the margaritas are so good! read more

Service was pleasant. We came here because our normal Mexican food spot is closed on Sundays. We came at 11am on a Sunday and got seated quickly. Our waitress was very kind. The three stars is because of the food. The enchilada sauce was not tasty at all and the rice and beans were bland. My husband was not happy with his food at all. His tamale has a very tiny bit of chicken in it, it was all Masa for the most part. The food tastes like watered down Mexican food. The prices are ridiculous compared to the quality of the food. Nice place but nothing I'd be craving to go back to. read more

We were looking for a new spot to try and so lucky we found Isabel's. Heard this was the owners special baby and they weren't kidding. Food took a minute to come out but the weather was SO NICE and our server kept constants communication with us until it did. Priced right and food was worth the wait! read more

This is my new spot!!!! Omg it has been hard for this northern girl to find a good margarita in AZ!! But I found it here!! I came close to closing on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly not busy. I sat down at a booth/table and the bartender and waitress immediately grabbed water and chips for me. I really was just in search of a margarita but I ended Up ordering a shrimp quesadilla. The salsa did not look like it would be good at first-it is a purée blended texture salsa. It has a hint of spicy but was really good! My quesadilla was amazzzzingggg and priced good. Last but not least I have found my margarita! I tried the mango frozen margarita and it was soooooo good! This is my new local spot. They also have happy hour so be sure to call for those times and days! read more

Isabel's Amor is a spin-off of the local Some Burros chain. It's a more upscale dining experience, offering sit-down service. The Asado Salad is delicious! The Chili Rojo de Pollo Burrito is very tasty. The chicken is quite juicy. There is lots of natural lighting due to all the windows. Upbeat music. This place is fabulous and I recommend it to my friends. read more

Lets first start off with , we eat mexican food 4 times a week , and the name of this place has nothing to do with mexican , should have guessed . This place is cute, severs are good, chips are good, hot sauce is good, but not chucky.. All that said the food looked good delivered , we all bite in and wow,no taste, blaned , , the cheese enchiladas was so bad couldnt eat them , cheese was melted , but the homemade wrappers under coked, black bean tasted like they opened a can of black beans and poured on the plate, not drained, no spicy, my husband refired beans the same way . We all three couldnt eat our meals , such a disappointment . I guess thats why happy Hour is from 11am-7pm My feelings are never go in unless your thirsty , not hungery. . So giving it a 1star is pushing it , and thats chips read more

This is a cute little spot, kind of hidden behind Raising Cane's. I chose this spot based off of yelp reviews and pictures. We were welcomed with chips and salsa. Although the salsa seemed like tomato puree with no additives like onion, cilantro, etc. The hot salsa was the same tomato blend with some grinded up chili. Nothing that struck me as unique or delicious. The prices are a bit on the higher side as I ordered a chicken enchilada and tamale for $14. My husband ordered green chile verde which he described as a bit thicker in consistency than he liked and didn't have any particular wow flavor. I ordered chicken quesadillas for my kids and the chicken chunks were a bit too big for my kids. This surely wasn't my spot but it was clean, new, and decorated nicely. read more

Unique margarita flavors and tasty food. Skip the pico de avocado, it's a bland guacamole

No stars needed. I have never been treated so rude as I have at this restaurant. My husband received a drink with a half eaten cherry, then when I mentioned we were just given a new cherry, not a new drink. The chips and salsa were stale. To top it off, when I mentioned the drink he didn't want to drink, they removed it (TY) but then the tab was thrown at me. Unless you wanted to be treated poorly, don't dine at this place. read more

We hardly go out for Mexican food but we will be going here a lot. The food and service were outstanding. We had the Carne asada, the carnitas, and the chile rellenos. Ate at the bar. Very fast service and the employees were especially kind and personable. That goes a long way in my book! Got the chimi trio and cheese crisp! Very good. read more

Not really sure why this place has such good reviews. Food is too expensive to taste this bland. I got the enchiladas and the meat is tasteless and was cold. I also got the 3 mini chimi appetizer and they had about 1 tsp of meat costing a total of $8 for that plate. This is NOT authentic Mexican food. Only thing Mexican about this place was the music. Will not be coming back. read more

This place is so good and has instantly became one of mine and my boyfriend's favorite Mexican food restaurants. He's from Las Cruces and I am from San Diego so we're very picky with our Mexican food and both were extremely satisfied with everything we ordered here. First off we loved the chili verde here! The meat was tender and the chili verde was so flavorful. We usually have to wait to go to Las Cruces to have chili verde and we were so excited to find a place out in Arizona area nearby us that made it just as good. We knew right after we got our comp salsa and chips this place was going to be good cause the salsa was delicious. We had both the mild and hot. I don't recommend the hot if you're not a big spicy fan. We also ordered the Prescado De La Parrilla and the Mahi mahi was so good! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for good authentic Mexican food. They even make great homemade flour tortillas. We can't wait to come back and eat here again. read more
