The interior is crisp and clean and bright. Definitely a standard I'd expect from HK. I had a lunch special which included app, entree and dessert. Everything was delicious. The salad was so good. The flavor was so good for a simple salad. The burger was a great size, full of flavor and well balanced. The sticky toffee pudding was the best part overall but that also might be because I'd never had it. Wonderful experience, and the Gordon screen at the entrance is too fun.

While we enjoyed the overall experience, several service and execution issues took away from what should have been a special evening. Drink service was slow throughout the meal, and one guest didn't receive a refill until dinner was nearly finished. We were also told a birthday glass of wine would be complimentary, but it still appeared on the final bill. For the food, we ordered garlic butter for our steaks but received large portions of cold butter that hadn't melted. We also weren't informed that the filet already included garlic butter. The prawn appetizer had an off flavor, and one of the three filets was overwhelmingly peppery while the other two were properly seasoned. We ordered two bottles of wine and, due to limited tableside attention, often found ourselves refilling our own glasses throughout the evening. Overall, the food was enjoyable and we appreciated the opportunity to celebrate here. However, for a restaurant at this price point, the service and attention to detail should be much stronger. We traveled four hours for this experience and hope these issues were simply the result of an off night.

My bf and I had the salmon oshi press to start, the sushi never disappoints at Earls! Then had the entree they just added on, the smokehouse pork chop. Highly recommend. We came here to dine before going to a concert and had the pleasure of being sat with Nicky. He was so professional, attentive, and very good at building rapport with his tables. Thank you Nicky for your service!! You were awesome :))

We started with the Korean ribs, sticky fried rice bites topped with tuna, chicken tenders, calamari, and shrimp & pork dumplings. The standout appetizer was definitely the dumplings, which we'd gladly order again. The ribs were tender, though the gochujang sauce may be a bit overpowering for those who aren't fans of bold umami flavors. Fortunately, that's right up our alley. The calamari was also cooked perfectly with a great texture. Our server, Isa, was fantastic throughout the evening. She kept our drinks topped off, checked in consistently without being intrusive, and made several great recommendations that helped guide our selections. For our main dishes, we sampled a variety of items. The filet was cooked properly but could have used a bit more seasoning. It paired nicely with the mashed potatoes and mushrooms. All of our steaks were cooked to the requested temperature, which is always appreciated and not something every restaurant consistently gets right. The tortellini was another solid choice, featuring a flavorful cream sauce that paired well with the added grilled chicken. Unfortunately, the Korean beef bibimbap was the biggest disappointment of the evening. It lacked flavor, and the rice at the bottom of the bowl was overly burnt and crispy from the residual heat. To finish the meal, we shared the crème brûlée cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. The cheesecake was a great ending to the meal, while the sticky toffee pudding reminded us somewhat of a molten chocolate cake and was equally enjoyable. Overall, there were more hits than misses, and we'd return to explore more of the menu.

It's extraordinarily good: simple greens expertly prepared with what seemed like a secret sauce. The vibe is classy speakeasy. The crowd is also fun and vibrant. Barren Seed For a…read moremilestone birthday I wanted to go with something that represented living vicariously through the life of someone who attained a career I once dreamed of. Not saying I'm unhappy at all with my career, but most people who know me also know from early on I aspired to become a renowned chef. Limitations at the time didn't make that possible, but the culinary arts remain a core part of who I am. Entered how impressed we were last year with the Miami Spice menu that on the spot I selected Stubborn Seed as the venue for my milestone birthday. Enter a process, meal, and aftermath made to the horror model of movies like Sinners. Let me start with the reservation. I booked in October 2025 to ensure we would have the place booked for my birthday. At the time we had a placeholder menu which we would adjust closer to the date. I was told then the 6 course menu would not be available. Closer to the date I saw on the website the 6 course menu was indeed available. In reaching out to the team member who took my reservation and contract, she told me the 6 course menu was not available on Fridays. From what you can see in the pictures, it was available. Then we wonder why Miami gets the reputation it does... ...finally we settled on the 6 course meny after all. My party showed up and we had a great time. Most courses were really solid. Notable was the first course, the cured Ginger & Citrus Cured Japanese Yellowtail. Everything kept moving in a definite crescendo until the let down of the main course. The Koji Marinated Lamb Loin was better billed as the "mini loin" as it was indeed incredibly small. I considered summoning Avenger level superpowers to reduce my people in size to the Wasp to make this work somehow. Unfortunately I don't possess such superpowers. If only. But that was not all. Wait for it... ...There was not one single acknowledgment by anyone in the restaurant staff about my milestone birthday. Not a thank you for selecting us. Not a mention by the manager or anyone on the staff. Not even a gesture during dessert. Even the most elegant of restaurants do something. Even a plated decoration acknowledging the occasion would have sufficed. I wasn't asking for Longhorn Steakhouse staff type of fanfare but something would have been adequate. Nothing. But wait, there's more... ...when settling the check I mentioned I had prepaid for the 10 tasting menus ahead of time leaving on premises consumption for payment on site. At the restaurante they looked into it and came back with that the prepayment was never charged. Given I was with my guests that was neither the time nor the place, so I settled the bill with the intent on checking this later. I did and they had indeed double charged me $2,000. Needless to say I had to bring this up to them including opening a dispute with my credit card after days went by without a follow up on where my refund stood. No offense ladies and gentlemen, but this mistake should have never taken place in the first place... All in all, not even they have the power to ruin what was one of the most memorable evenings of my life. Why? because I was surrounded by some of the most amazing human beings who took time to share this birthday with me. I love them and am grateful to have them in my life. That was the main event. The hopes was having a similar amazing experience with the meal at Stubborn Seed would be the icing on the case. It was not. Fortunately for me they didn't add anything, but more importantly, they didn't take anything away. That said, since Michelin doesn't judge a restaurant for portion size or service, I thought I myself would take something away - the veil on a restaurant that is evidently self indulgent and does not and will not care about you. You are not the star, and you never will be. Recommendations: Read "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara - you may learn a bit just from the title itself, more if you crack the book open. Attending a Hospitality program somewhere (doesn't have to be Cornell at this point!)
