Came here for lunch while I was visiting Lapis Spa on August 28th. The service was amazing and the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was very well organized and clean. There was plenty of seating. The food was amazing. I was able to also order sushi from the Blade menu. I had a burger which was cooked just how I requested and it was delicious. They move in slow motion at this restaurant. Slow to get you to a table. 10 minutes before the server arrives. And another 10 to get juice, coffee, etc. The buffet is pretty good. But today I had some really dry and flavorless scrambled eggs from the egg station. Trying to flag down your server to pay takes another 10 minutes. read more

When staying at the Fontainebleau, Vida is a great choice for brunch. For brunch, Vida features a traditional breakfast menu along with a buffet option for people who want a little more variety. The atmosphere is very open with booth style tables and plenty of sunlight from the large windows overlooking the pool. For food we ordered the following: - Two eggs any style with sides of chicken apple sausage and hashbrowns. Overall these were delicious and I really enjoyed how the hashbrowns were packaged in a solid cube. They were still perfectly crispy as well. - Pancakes - while they were visually appealing, it tasted slightly burnt and tough. - Fruit Assortment - a mix of different fruits including mango, pineapple, kiwi and more. We did the breakfast buffet and it was amazing. A lot of food options, from omelette station to smoked salmon , chicken and waffles. The service was good as well, our waiter was attentive. Coffee and juice was included. There is a service charge in this restaurant and so is everywhere in the hotel. But overall would eat there again. read more

Vida offered an experience unlike any other restaurant I've ever visited. On my first visit, ever, to Miami, FL, my friends and I visited Vida for dinner and let me tell you, the atmosphere was so relaxing and the service was outstanding! Most of the time, when dining out, I order some sort of fish or seafood and I've most certainly had my fair share of salmon. This dish right here was different from salmon that I've had at other restaurants. It was full of flavor and the garnish and veggies they paired it with made it that much better! I went to Vida in April 2024 while attending a conference and unfortunately was underwhelmed. The service was not very good- after I placed my order, I never saw my waiter until I flagged him down for the check, so he never asked if I needed anything or how my meal was (which to me is bare minimum). The person who was pouring water at other tables walked past me so once again I had to wave my hands for him to come over. I had the grilled cheese & tomato bisque for $19; for the price, I expected better- all I could taste was how loaded with butter the grilled cheese was (the soup was delicious). This was not a great meal & the service was worse. Also, a service charge was included, so don't be fooled- they're already getting a tip. Would not recommend. read more

Went for lunch with my husband yesterday. They were very accommodating with my service dog. Serving staff was unfriendly, however, the hostess was very sweet. Food came out fast. Matzah ball soup was too salty and should include noodles. Coconut shrimp were huge and sauce was great! Spicy hamachi roll was excellent, however, the tuna crispy rice left little to be desired- the fish was not fresh at all. Deviled eggs were beautiful, but too salty unfortunately. read more

Went here for breakfast as it was the best option for a sit down restaurant in walking distance to our hotel. Service was pretty good. Food was mediocre. We ordered from the menu as opposed to the buffet they offer. My daughter got pancakes and added sausage as a side as it was not included. I got a breakfast burrito and coffee. While the food wasn't bad it wasn't great either and definitely did not warrant the $80 bill we paid. I know a lot of this is due to location but $80 for pancakes link sausages and a burrito is simply too much. read more

For kids under 12 it is $21 so if you have a preteen it's decent value. Adults are $42 so really pack up a few lunch items to go and it becomes worth it. I arrived at 11:30am and host mentioned that they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch and kitchen was closed for ordering anything until 12pm. Totally understandable. I asked could I sit and work on my computer while I was waiting. She said no. I asked why. She said its our policy. Meanwhile plenty of people still sitting down finishing breakfast. I was actually surprised by this place. I thought it would be louder, more crowded, And have potentially mediocre food just because of the sheer volume. But, I was wrong. Stopped by Vida with a friend for lunch after a Spa treatment. We were seated promptly and then told it's two restaurants in one. They serve American food as well as Japanese sushi and rolls. We started with a Chicken Quesadilla. It came out quickly and was good. We each ordered a roll. My spicy tuna roll tasted very fresh and flavorful. I also ordered the Warm Quinoa Salad with chicken. It was tasty as well. The service was simply OK. I guess that because the service charge is already included in the bill, there really is no need to go above and beyond in the service department. All in all, the restaurant was OK. The food was a bit pricey for what it was. I'll most likely try a different restaurant next time I go to the Spa. read more

We came for the Sunday brunch. Our server was terrible, the buffet was overpriced and only had 6 hot items ($28 per person) they charged my wife $7 for a latte and my daughters pancakes were burned. One of the worst experiences I have ever had a restaurant. Oh and the server added 18% in gratuity. Seems like a sweet gig she has to never clear our buffet plates or check on us but still gets a tip. If you are looking for a job I would definitely call Vida to be a server. read more

We Spent the first leg of our girls getaway with spa, lunch, and stay at the fountainbleu hotel. Lunch here was our after spa treat. We were greeted by a quiet family friendly environment likely because it was mid afternoon. I tried the bento box and enjoyed a small variety of seafood & veggie delights. I am not much of a drinker, but the pina colada could have had a bit more spirits to make a girl feel like she was having a well deserved drink versus a Shirley Temple style beverage. The service was adequate not spectacular, though my accompaneras might disagree. A steep 18% gratuity is included automatically so this perhaps this explains the lukewarm service. Plan to hang out in the area if you dine here because traffic is heavy. This restaurant's location could allow for a leisurely stroll through the hotel after to help burn calories. The Fontainebleau already has a culinary trifecta perfection in place: Hakkasan, Gotham Steak and Scarpetta. There is also Vida. The only problem is that Vida does not excel like the others and cannot be in that same category. What it does do is provide you with an indoor dining option so that you can get away from the hot mess that is La Cote and their poolside dining (if you can even call it that). We opted for this trying to get away from 2 days of disappointment at the other places. It is very beautiful inside and also provides for great people watching, albeit a little dizzying. You see everyone walk by the arched hallway framed by clear glass with frosted a bamboo design. We had the following: Crunchy spicy tuna roll- excellent Margherita pizza- very good Gluten free margherita pizza- good Chicken quesadilla- blah The margherita pizza came with a side of a stringy piece of metal. At first it looked like a piece of burnt crust that had fallen off but once our friend picked it up we realized that it was indeed metal. They took the pizza back right away and offered to replace it. They also took it off the bill. The manager came by and apologized. He said they figured out it was a piece of metal that must have fallen off from the oven as they took the pizza out. It still doesn't make sense but nothing we can do. I do know that had my friend bit into that or swallowed it, the situation could have been very serious. I was actually shocked that they did not comp the entire thing! That said, the place is very nice and I am sure this was a rare occasion and not the norm. I will give them the benefit of the the doubt. We did not order any dessert or coffee because we were just over the lack of options at this hotel (unless you want to go completely upscale with your lunch). I wanted to give it three but had to take away the third star because of the metal incident and how it was handled. I know I will be back to the hotel (because it's one of my favorites) and I hope they have improved greatly by then. read more

We made reservations at Vida for my birthday (a party of 14) because we heard it was great for groups. It really wasn't, it was kind of a nightmare actually. As soon as we ordered drinks the server told us that we could not itemize the bill and it could only be split evenly among x amount of people. How is that even fair when some were having appetizers and some (including myself) were having the churrasco entrée? We didn't really have a choice, most people had already ordered and our group was famished. The service was lackluster, probably because the 18% gratuity was already included. The food was decent, nothing really out of the ordinary. The ambiance was a little loud for my taste. The worst part was that the server charged my sister for the entire amount of what the table had ordered, plus her part of the bill, and my boyfriend's. We didn't find out until she tried to use her card later that night. She was charged a ridiculous amount of money 3 times, the bank immediately put her account on hold for fraudulent activity. Staying at the Sorrento Tower on a first time exciting Miami vacation. We wanted dinner after a full day out and didn't want anything extensive - Vida seemed to fit the in-hotel need. So met Camille (lead hostess) and Victoria at the desk. No greeting - a stare - ugh, could we see a menu? "American"? She says. We're thinking ugh. American meaning English language?! No, duh was the look, or Japanese. So, leave it there - but you get the idea. Greeting was no smiles and was unbelievably B.A.D.!!! (This is what you want greeting your guests??!!!!!) So we chose American and got seated right by the hostess highway area. Uhhhh, what about the rest of the nearly empty and many nice other tables? Again, another annoyed look, as I pointed another nicer more comfortable table. No words, just led us and sat us. Wow! So here comes Alex, not warm but not unfriendly. Could do a world of hospitality training on him but he was decently pleasant and fine. The food --- I don't think any chef of any decent reputation would hang their future on the quality of food or ingredients. The ribs were lathered, slathered, soaked in bbq sauce that was wayyy too sweet. Bottom line. All those pit bosses out there would throw this back. Ok but far from great. The cole slaw lacks any flavor and the mashed potatoes. Hmm, from a box?? Seemed lacking great flavor. Ok, my other had salmon (Atlantic of course), and we should all know Atlantic means farmed which means grain fed. Ugh. Anyway it looked decent and was just that. Servers did not seem happy, no one seemed happy and it became easy to be disappointed. This hotel needs to do better for its guests. Do not come here if you're hungry or in a rush. At 8am on a Saturday we waited at least 50 minutes for avocado toast and an omelette. When asking the waiter after 35 minutes how much longer the expected arrival of food would be, I received a snarky "well everyone is ordering from the menu, buffet would be been faster." Vida is a very beautiful and high-end Breakfast and lunch spot located inside the Fontainbleau. The service is what you'd expect from a restaurant inside the FB: nothing short of perfect. The food is really tasty and comes out super fast. The kitchen seems very clean and the restaurant itself is immaculate. The prices are a wee bit high, even for the FB. I paid $18 for 2 eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, some potatoes and some toast. A litttttle bit too high. My bill for 2 breakfasts and 1 coffee came to $55 with tax and tip. Yikes! Nonetheless... I come here every single time I'm visiting the Fontainbleau and will likely always do so. I love this breakfast/lunch spot. Tip: try the coffee. It's to die for! read more

I have to start of by saying that the service at this restaurant was amazing. Our server Kabir went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We started off with the bread basket of freshly baked bread and a Turkish lavash bread which was very good. Our waiter explained to us how the bread is made in a tandoor oven and gave us a little back ground on the food which was very informative. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms as my meal and they were plenty for me. They were 3 medium sized mushrooms stuffed to the max with a cheesy filling. My husband had a burger which was also good.
