Of course I know nothing about cars, and after stumbling around on Yelp I found this company. I called the number listed and it sent me directly to the owner. We spoke for about ten minutes and he gave me helpful tips, pointers, things to look for things to ask, and provided me with additional contacts. Although I did not receive any service from this company, I could tell the owner cares and truly wanted to help me as well as others. I was very grateful for our chat and his assistance and expertise, and he made me feel a little better even though I was in a deflating situation. It's not everyday that someone is so helpful, and I appreciated the help that was thrown my way! I'm positive without a doubt, you'd receive great work from here and above and beyond customer service!

These guys are good! A class act all the way!!…read more Just before signing the big check for a slightly used car I decided to have it checked out at a mechanic not affiliated with the dealership - as you always should! The car had seemed perfect, it was clean, purred along the interstate during the test drive, everything worked as it should. Perfect! But I still needed to have it check out for peace of mind. And I am glad I did! But we'll get to that later... From the initial phone call where they were able to get me in last minute to being greeted upon arrival, to the actual service, the entire process was top notch. As I looked around their office signs on how they conduct business were everywhere, from the honorary system of paying for the snacks to the mottos that hung on the wall exuding they were serious about integrity and honesty. And they were. From years of interviewing people for work you get a slight talent on how to read people. Actually, that was why I was there, I had a bad feeling from those that were about to sell me the car. I had detected a few non-verbal signs of deception that gave me pause. On the other hand, I felt the guys at Jerry DeLong Automotive are genuine, honest, good guys. Very important in a auto shop! And they didn't prove me wrong. Now for the bad news... When I returned (they paid for my ride back, too!) they showed me everything that was of concern with the car - and there was a lot. Seems the previous owner pushed the car to its limits. Leaks everywhere along with some other things. These repairs would of cost thousands in a year or two. The $90 (I used their Yelp discount) I spent there saved me thousands of $$$! Needless to say I didn't buy the car. The whole process was done with class, professionalism, and honesty. My only regret is that my house is not located more closely because these would be my go-to auto guys. Thanks again for your services. Keep up the good work!

Sure wish Progressive had chosen to contact VP the first time instead of the ineptness of those before. Even the one that came with a wheel lift and wheel dolly (which had been specifically requested), couldn't complete the service because the tires on the dolly were flat. Honest mechanics, honest shop with superior service , integrity and care and best prices. They back their work up and hire the most experienced mechanics and staff. Ask for Alex Kaftajian, and he will make sure you are taken care of and the work is done with the utmost skill, This June, I had a nightmare brakes issue on that I had taken my car to my family mechanic in Plano. The mechanic there quoted me $500.00 over labor and parts market rate! Pardon me but @$!@#$? And then another, it was similar. Moreover, I had already had work done the mechanics would not honor. I was very much in a bind. What was I going to do? Pay 899.00-- 900.00 for work that had no guarantee? Nope! I thought i would never resolve the issue . I will pay for labor that is worth it, but I draw the line at allowing exploitation. Pissed-off at getting taken advangtage of in a time of great need by condescending and smug mechanics acting more like vultures than humans, I asked my church and former UT Austin classmates around Dallas who was the most experienced and honest mechanic. Several named Alex at Meineke. Many had gone to him in Carrollton and had their cars towed to Richardson when he switched, So I did what others suggested, and paid Triple A to tow the car to Richardson to Meineke, asked for Alex and prayed. Sure enough! Superior service, friendly, helpful. Perfect results and excellent people with integrity. I want reliable, honest and skilled, and that is what they are. God bless these folks for their honesty and hard work. Only going tp Meineke at this location from here on out!
