Coming from New York, it's hard to find food that reminds me of home, but this place nailed it. The owner was cool and chatted with us a bit however it was cold outside. Everything we tried was incredible. The wings were perfectly fried with just the right amount of sauce coating them. The beef patty was unlike any I've ever had before--so flavorful and flaky. The oxtail was seasoned to perfection, tender, and rich. And the mac & cheese? The ultimate comfort food and the perfect complement to the patty which I would've never imagined. The portions were generous, so I saved some for the next day, but I already can't wait to go back. This spot is a gem!

I had been craving fresas con crema for the longest, and I ended up getting them almost every night that weekend. My favorite was the Fresas con Crema Raffaello. I will say, though, it can get pricey, so don't expect to spend just a few bucks. The fresas con crema alone were over $18 lol. The service really depends on which truck you visit, but for the most part everyone has been friendly. The atmosphere is super chill, there's plenty of seating, and they have trash bins throughout the area. It's mostly clean, although there are a few spots that smell like straight-up trash. They also have free parking behind Denny's and paid parking right next to the food trucks. Save yourself the $6-$10 and park behind Denny's, you can put that money toward a drink instead! I seriously love this place and will always make room for it in my itinerary whenever I'm in Orlando. The fact that they're open until 2 a.m. is just another bonus!

We went to Ivanhoe Park Brewing specifically to try out this truck and we're so pleasantly surprised by the casual, charming and inclusive brewery. But the Simmer Down food was the highlight! The taco was really next level good. And the churro was sweet and delicious. Only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the fries were soggy and not my favorite. Flavor was good, and they were nice and salty... but just too wet and limp. That said, everything else was amazing and we will be back!

I landed on ordering the Beatty's Blue's Smash Burger and upgraded to truffle fries (go big or go home!). Everything was fantastic and memorable, even a week or so later writing this review! The burger was perfectly cooked, the toppings were on point, and the fries were decadent and jam packed with truffle flavor. 10/10 food without question. What made it even better? The personable, stellar service. In an area saturated by food trucks, Simmer Down is a stand out. If you are lucky enough to run into or visit Simmer Down, at the bare minimum, get the truffle fries!

I had the cholo dog and it was delicious. Can officially say this is my one and only favorite hot dog! What caught my attention was the bbq sauce, chipotle mayo, and tajin; a girls dream! The jalapeños added a great touch; not too spicy, but a small kick. Love that the sauces helped make the hot dog feel that it wasn't dry and overall just mixed together for a great flavor. There also seemed to be no set schedule but there always seemed to be a line and finally after searching around and seeing all the amazing reviews we tried it. I was impressed! Is it cheap? I appreciated the chicken schnitzel that my son had was very flavorful and not your dry bland chicken strips that many kids chicken fingers orders often are. I would like to try other hummus on the menu. I ordered the regular and it was good, but not as good as I had hoped for a place called the Hummus Guy. I love hummus but also I am no expert by any means, so try it yourself and let me know if I am off base. I recommend trying and hope to see the Hummus Guy in Maitland for a long time!

Everything is made fresh, including the unbelievably fluffy pitas that taste like they came straight out of someone's home kitchen. The chicken schnitzel was perfect for the kids, but the falafel was the star for me, crispy on the outside, full of flavor on the inside. The hummus was another standout: perfectly creamy with that rich tahini flavor that makes you want to scoop up every last bit. This is a food truck with limited seating, and it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon, but honestly, it was worth every minute. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. It's a gem.

We super over ordered each getting a burger and a gourmet fry but I wouldn't regret it just to try it now and know for the future. I enjoyed my taco fries immensely. I swapped the side of sour cream for ranch (I am still that Midwesterner at heart) and ended up not using it at all, the cheesy nacho sauce with the taco meat and tomatoes is a great combination to throw on some delicious freshly fried fries. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I do LOVE nacho cheese. My husband's fry of choice was the Japanese steakhouse fries. Melted cheese, mushrooms, peppers and thinly sliced steak served with a drizzle of the white/yum yum/shrimp sauce you see at hibachi places combined for a scrumptious combination. My husband could not put it down, he likely would've asked for a side of the sauce because he's a huge fan of it. The burgers were good but I didn't eat mine because I was too engrossed in my fries but my husband finished it for me. Everything was a little pricey but I know with food trucks that's a reality. Would definitely eat there again and likely just stick to a fry order or a burger not both. Side note they accept cards and you should probably go to their website to see where they are currently parked :)
