I would NEVER work with Ironside Claims again and would NEVER recommend anyone work with them. We were lied to and ignored when things started to go bad with the claim, they were assisting with. Anthony kept reassuring us everything was going to be "okay", even while we kept incurring costs, he kept on lying to our family. He insisted to keep going because he would make sure we were taken care of and would be with us the entire way. He stated if things got bad, he/Ironside Claims would handle the costs. As soon as the first vendor threatened us with COLLECTIONS...Anthony basically said, "too bad" and ghosted us! We never heard from him again! This is a review of our experience with Ironside Claims (a Public Adjuster company), who we engaged following a major water flood in our home on Labor Day 2021. For context, the entire first floor of our home was flooded. The cause was a broken hose from the water line to our first-floor toilet. We immediately contacted our insurance company who dispatched a water mitigation company to begin the process of removing the water and then cutting into our wall to dry them out and remediate any damage. This all went fine. Our problems began when we entered the reconstruction phase of the project. Initially, we thought we could work with the insurance company on our own. My wife and I are retired, so we thought we would have the time to engage with the insurance company as often as necessary to arrive at a mutually satisfactory reimbursement amount to repair our home. We were wrong! The insurance company was non-responsive from the beginning of the damage assessment step. We tried calling, emailing, texting, escalating and nothing worked. This left us frustrated on top of being displaced because our home was uninhabitable. After a couple of weeks in the death-spiral, we explained this to our contractor (who performed a major renovation for us in the past) and he recommended we reach out to Ironside Claims. We were hesitant at first because we were unaware that Public Adjusters even existed, and we were nervous about placing someone in the middle between us and the insurance company. Within hours of contacting them, Ironside Claims scheduled an appointment to come out and survey the damage. After their inspection, Ironside indicated to us that they had a good sense of the value of the loss (our home had custom cabinets, hardwood floors, granite countertops, expensive dining room and living room furniture, and custom window coverings) and that they would act on our behalf with the insurance company. The insurance company tried low-balling the estimate for damages and in fact, sent a check that was roughly 20 percent of the total loss. Ironside assured us that they would be able to increase the settlement amount, as they have significant experience with the tactics the insurance companies use. After 3 months of back and forth between Ironside and our insurance company, which included several visits to our home to assess and reassess the damage and evaluate the materials used, Ironside was able to achieve a settlement amount that enabled us to repair our home with the quality of materials that were damaged and make us whole. We are back in our home and extremely happy we engaged Ironside Claims, as there was no way we could have achieved this result without their involvement. Not only did Ironside achieve a satisfactory settlement, but they handled all the communication and negotiations with the insurance company, which relieved an immeasurable amount of stress.
