Ed and Jose are good salesman. That's about as far as it goes. We were told the 677 sq. ft. ADU…read morewould take between 4 to 6 months. Worst case scenario 6 months. It took 2 years. Just about every part of the build needed to be addressed from the mistakes that were made. The foundation needed to be moved because they said they didn't need the surveyor to stake it because they should be very close. When the inspector came out before the pour, they were of by an inch for the 4 foot clearance. The inspector made them move it. They fell so far behind they were doing drywall before the windows were installed. Only one window was in the right location. All the ruff openings had to be moved. The soffit for the kitchen cabinets was framed wrong. Just about every faze of the build needed to be corrected. We went through 7 project managers. Luckily I have some knowledge about construction and was able to pick up these mistakes before it became a bigger problem. Having my brother in law as the architect didn't hurt either. The only thing I can say is the ADU came out nice. If you think you can deal with this type of experience, by all means go for it. Oh forgot one thing. On the day of an inspection the inspector had to be escorted by the fire department because they hit my gas line. The next day they hit it again. Instead of following the line they started where they wanted to finish and hit it again. Think carefully in your disiscion.

We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

Go Home Builders did a wonderful job with our primary bathroom remodel. We interviewed multiple…read morecompanies and went with GHB since they seemed the most design-forward and client-friendly of the bunch, and gave us a reasonable quote too. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

The wood deck in my backyard needed some major repairs due to poor, faulty construction and water…read moredamage. The cost to patch it up didn't make sense financially, so I decided to get quotes to build an entirely new one. Got the usual four estimates from various construction companies. A couple of them went way over than what I had budgeted for, and the remaining two were neck-and-neck. I went with Coronado because their common-sense approach and presentation gave me a lot of confidence in working with them. Sergio, who drafted the estimate, actually presented a much better option than a wooden deck: a concrete patio. That made a lot more sense to me as I wouldn't have to worry too much about maintenance. He also worked up some renderings of what the finished product would look like, and that pretty much sold it for me (along with the very reasonable estimate). The whole project took a few weeks, from the demo of the old deck to the concrete pouring, and all throughout, Sergio made himself available to any questions or concerns that I had. Additionally, his business is family-run, so I got to meet his father, his brother, and some of his other relatives who came down to work on the project. They were all courteous, professional, and competent. There were some minor fixes (some being electrical) that adjusted the original estimate a bit, but those made sense to me and were quite reasonable as well. Finding an honest, hard-working, and reliable general contractor can be difficult. Make it easy for yourseld and give Coronado Construction a try!

Our home is a 1950s mid-century within a preservation district. It was bought "as is" - "great bones" but worn, tired and with original mechanicals, windows, and doors. No upgrades or replacements had been done by prior owners during their 40+ year tenure. The kitchen and master bedroom needed to be upgraded in major ways. Blend Design LA worked with us to execute a plan to renovate and upgrade in way that was within the preservation district's exterior code (front side of house) requirements, yet modernizing the kitchen and master bedroom enough to make it functional and good for the next half century.
