Brian from Flow "Master" Plumbing told me he needed to replace the pipe under the sink because it was too small. I have used a plumber once before, I was never told that but I was busy and so I said " do what you need to do to get the sink unclogged." These ppl charged me $550 to unclog my sink. They asked for a review, I gave them a great review. Then, the exact same sink clogs again so I called them back to fix it. It was a week-end. I couldn't stand over them again- kid has swim practice. Brian arrived unprepared had to leave to go rent a snake. Took all afternoon. Then said he "snaked" the pipe. The sink appears cleared, he charges me $700.00! My gut is saying WTF!? But I pay it. Always hopeful. Fast forward a couple weeks and SAME SINK has the same issue. Remember he charged me $550.00 the first time because he SAID the problem was that my pipe was too small. I have had my house since 2007. Never had that issue. Anyway, I contacted Brian. Told him the sink was having the same issue and that I felt he wasn't fixing the issue, just charging me excessively. I tell him he needs to either refund my money or come back and actually fix my sink. In typical fashion by those who don't care about their customers because a sucker will always exist (like me, with zero time to oversea the work) and they will always get paid, he simply blamed MY HOUSE. He had the balls to tell me my house was old (if I had a brand new house I wouldn't be calling a plumber, dipshit) and that's it. No, lets see what the real issue is, or "maybe we need to snake further out". Nothing. He then just ignored my request to fix my sink. My house was built in 1956 and completely renovated in 2012, btw. I ended up hiring a plumber from DC who came in, unclogged the sink for $250.00 and laughed when I told him Flow "Master" Plumbing told me my STANDARD pipe under my sink was too small and that is why my sink clogged. Did I mention that Flow "Master" Plumbing left a giant hole under my sink after they replaced my pipe the first time? Yeah. I need to pay someone else to rebuild under my sink now. Lesson learned. NEVER AGAIN!! Over $1,000 in the trash! Claudia Hines Washington DC

I was informed that the pipes would have to be replaced because my system was corroded! During this conversation, I noticed that the *meter was still in place!! Earl informed me that the *meter would be removed and reinstalled in order to get to the water heater out of the space; I was remembering that it wasn't removed with the prior installation. After getting estimates from 4 HVAC contractors, I went with HVAC Performance by W&A to change over…read morethe gas forced-air HVAC in a 101-year-old home I purchased, to all heat pump. Mr. Marroquin's price was extremely competitive; he seemed to know a great deal about systems and equipment, and I really liked his "all in" pricing because the electrician work came bundled into the price. (Drywall repair was NOT included - but that turned out to be okay because I'm having solar panels put in later and that site survey crew was thrilled about pre-cut holes, LOL!) This was a BIG project; removal of a gas furnace and replacing it with 7 indoor air handlers and 3 outdoor compressors. The entire project took about one month to complete - almost exactly what had been predicted. Even before he could get started on the new project, the existing "whole house" heat pump system that serviced the upstairs of the 3,100 sq. ft. house broke down on a 95-degree day in D.C. Mr. Marroquin came out and worked all day on a Sunday to get it going, as the upstairs system would be the only AC for the house for the month it would take to change over to the new system that would service the main floor and lower level. He rejuvenated the existing system and gave it a comprehensive servicing for a very good price. We had to store equipment on site for a bit, but I liked that Mr. Marroquin wanted ALL of the equipment in hand before he started the project so we wouldn't be left hanging by supply chain issues. For the new install project Mr. Marroquin stayed in constant contact so I could trust he and his crew would be there on the days he'd said they would, or else he would let me know promptly of changes in schedule. I was on work assignment on the opposite coast, so he, I and my house sitter were able to work out a good system for giving him access to the house via a key box and us remotely resetting the alarm at the end of each workday. Mr. Marroquin was extremely conscientious about securing the house and texting me until I confirmed the alarm was reset. He tented EVERYTHING with plastic and put down tarp to protect the wood flooring (there were appreciative messages hand written on the tarp thanking me for my business!) Even as the owner of the company, he was pretty much the last person to leave the job site every day, taking time to sweep and even wet-clean some areas. Because of the configuration, there needed to be conduit cover for lines on the front of the house. I was very concerned about these being too noticeable and detracting from my curb appeal. Mr. Marroquin took great care to obtain paintable line-set conduit for these and he color-matched and painted them PERFECTLY to blend in with the color of the stucco. He was also responsive to my concerns about condensate from the outdoor compressors draining too close to the home's foundation and on my rear deck. He was creative, coming up with inconspicuous clear tubing and PVC piping systems to drain the water away. When the job was done he brought HIS MOTHER to the house to help with the final cleaning - so impressive! As you can tell, I'm very pleased with HVAC Performance and Wilson Marroquin. The only areas where the service could have been a bit better were around "paperwork" issues. Like most contractors who work from sun up to sundown, paperwork is often the last thing they get to. I never did get a fully completed contract before the work started, and I had to make a pest of myself to get the final invoice with cost breakouts so that I could claim my rebates and energy credits on my taxes. Also, Mr. Marroquin was very enthusiastic about Daikin brand - and the units ARE very quiet from what I'm used to and the price was good. But the plastic housing of the air handlers was apparently extremely delicate and the crew cracked the condensate pump access slots on every single unit! Mr. Marroquin and I had to have several talks about how to conceal this. Hooray for white duct tape - not ideal, but not a huge eyesore either.

Yelp sent my request for service out to several plumbers & the owner Jose responded quickly. The installation price was my best offer & he didn't try to scam me on a new disposal. He went on the Home Depot site and helped me select a new disposal (we went through 3 options). The site price was the price I was charged, not a dollar more. He was very courteous and accommodating! Even when I called at 7pm to schedule they were able to get me in for the next day! My appt was 12pm & they were able to come at 10:30! Two people (a woman & a man) showed up in uniform. I felt very comfortable getting the service knowing the lady was there (since my husband was not home). Not a problem if she had not been there but it was a nice bonus. They were clean and efficient. They let me test the disposal and see there was no brown water, clogs, or leaks. They educated me that the brown was the disposal deteriorating & that they leveled my PVC pipe because it was slanted, which caused the water to not flow properly. With the adjustment, it flowed effortlessly. Truly a flawless experience.

I talked to one of the technicians, Mark, about a small commercial job for my business. They totally lied about what the "cost" of the job was vs what the final bill ended up being. In the end, I received a bill that was almost twice as much as it should have been and then threated to "rip the A/C unit out" (said specifically by Mark), send me to collections and put a lien against me if I did not pay the bill immediately.
