Fried wantons, with sweet n sour dipping
    Anthony J.

A dimly lit little place, that is clean. I arrived at 12:30 on a Monday, so waiting was not an issue and my food came out really fast and hot. The service was not overly welcoming... but ehh... but I was there to try the food. That will be the bulk of this review. I ordered the fried pork wantons and hunan beef with fried rice ( Somewhere in the neighborhood of $17 - $18 dollars). To begin, the wantons were just ok. I have made fried wontons, however I like mine with scallions and and maybe bean sprouts, etc. These wantons were just meat...? Like I said, just okay... maybe a bit greasy, because they didn't let them drain onto a paper towel or they didn't shake the grease off coming out of the oil... eh... The hunan beef also was just okay. A bit saucy and sweet. Probably straight out of the jar? The fried rice that accompanied the beef... (SMH...) I like my fried rice again with scallions, egg and I do like it to be brown... but that is arguable to those who do not like soy sauce in their fried rice.. Anyway... it too was just ok...eh.. I would give this a solid 5 out of 10. Not the best... and not the wost that I've had. Would I recommend or come again? Let's call it a hung jury.... If I am in this town again and I'm craving Chinese food... maybe.... but it is a weak maybe... That's all... thanks for reading..

One of the very few good Chinese restaurants in town. If it was walking distance from campus, then it would have gotten so much more traffic. Definitely worth giving it a try. They also do deliveries if over a certain amount, I believe.

This place is not beautiful but the food does not disappoint. Very quiet, good service and the food is really tasty. We will be back.

The place is definitely hidden and slept on. It looks super sketch from the outside but the inside is huge and beautiful. They could use some music though. It's absolute silence. Came here around noon for lunch and ordered the General Chicken from lunch special menu. The food came out extremely fast and for $7.00 my food portion was HUGE. I had left over to take home. I like their fried rice simply with eggs no peas or carrots. It's not super greasy either. I think I may have found my new favorite Chinese restaurant.

Hands down the best chinese food in town. Only issue is it's not spicy even if it says it is. But that's an easy fix.

I'm visiting the Moscow, ID area coming from cities/suburbs with a large Chinese-American diaspora - something that Moscow does not have. So overall, if you want to try Chinese food, this is not a bad place to do so. That said, this food is very average and no where near the best Chinese places you'd get. I found the soup noodles very under-seasoned and bland - Chinese food is usually packed with flavor and this broth really lacked the type of flavor I'd expect. There was also no chili oil provided (only hot sauce you'd get at hte grocery store) so I couldn't really add that much heat to a bland sauce. Even outside of spiceness, I found I needed to add some soy sauce (which I normally don't do) to have a bit of flavor/seasoning. I ordered the seafood noodles and the seafood itself was great and plentiful. I do like that they don't skimp on the meat. If I came back again, I would not order any of the noodle dishes. The place serves everything in take out containers FYI. Overall, it's nice to have a Chinese place in the area but the food is only average.

The owner was hand pulling the noodle behind the counter, made incredible fresh potstickers, and the time to wait was minimal (we were expecting longer than the 7 or so minutes our order took based on reviews). Don't walk - RUN, to this hidden gem. Your tummy will thank you!

Could it have been that I got the veggie version and that sometimes flops in the flavor department? Or could it have been that I didn't select a spice level high enough? I'm from California, so some things in Washington and Idaho are new to me. Like for instance, our server handing us water bottles instead of cups of water. Turns out I guess Moscow is known for having issues with water. Our miso soup had no additives. No tofu, or seaweed. Just broth. Our sushi chef also forgot one of my rolls, and forgot to give my aunt her yakisoba, so we had to ask for them. There was only one other table of 2 seated while we were dining, so I can't even blame a busy dining room as the reason why the staff was flustered. On the plus side, our server did bring my baby cousin a tiny serving of miso soup, so my aunt didn't "have" to share hers, and brought a spoon for the baby, so that was a nice touch. All in all, this tourist definitely will not be eating here again.
