Ate lunch here today and really enjoyed the food. We had sushi and it was fresh and tasty. Service was good and our waitress was very attentive. This place is in a strip mall, so don't expect some elaborate decor. Four stars vs five stars because it is fairly expensive for what you get. Give it a chance! read more

The prices for sushi rolls and appetizers are reasonable. Don't miss the daily specials on the white board - when I've tried them, they were magnificent! Pros: The rice and the soup was good. The wait time for food was quick. Cons: All hibachi entrees (verified with server) are covered in a sauce that makes the flavors of the food indistinguishable from the sauce. No dipping sauces were provided such as ginger sauce or yum yum sauce. When I handed the server back a full plate, she never asked if anything if was wrong with it and never asked how our food was. My co-worker had 3 rolls for $7.95 which came with a soup or salad. I had the lunch Chirashi which I believe wa $10.95 with soup or salad. The Chirashi came on a plate (rice with sashimi on top). It was all so very good especially the tuna & salmon. Those two cuts of fish tasted the most fresh. Typically, the Chirashi I've had at other establishments is served in a bowl with additional fixings(pickled daikon, seaweed salad, cucumber, etc...) along with the fish. After trying several other sushi places in the area I have finally found a place that meets my expectations. Much better than Sakura express and Tokyo grill which were so bad I chose to keep my opinion to myself because I don't like to bad mouth restaurants. However this was my last shot a good sushi in the area and I'm so happy I grabbed a decidedly small order to try things out. I will be back very soon to redeem my small order after playing it safe from wasting money and food on inedible sushi and other fare and will be a regular! Today I tried out the clear soup, fried rice, shrimp tempura roll, spicy salmon and eel roll. I also had a few pieces of white tuna sashimi. All were up to par. I popped in here for lunch today. I'm new to Suffolk and looking for a nice Sushi spot. I'm so happy to say, I found it! This is a tiny spot, but not uncomfortably so. The tables are spaced nicely apart. It was nice. I ordered the Super Sashimi lunch portion. It was served with salad or miso soup, the soup was good the fish was fresh and delicious. I also ordered two rolls. They were prepared well and I enjoyed them. I'm happy to report that I will return with some of my friends who also enjoy sushi! read more

The food is great. The hostess works very hard and covers all the tables on her own it dreams. The service is a little slow because they are making the sushi fresh and it's a single man behind the sushi bar but the food is great. Truly can't stress that enough. My only wish is that they would have a larger business so they could sit more and serve faster but it's a wonderful place and maybe that's something they can't help. It's convenient from where I live too to grab fresh sushi within minutes when I'm craving. read more

Have been semi regular customer so I went up there tonight. After being seated the server was quick to bring my ice tea and menu. So I sat and waited and waited. Well she finally came and took my order. You could tell she was new. When my food arrived it was sizzling hot, oh so good except for the lobster that was in it, tasted funny, everything else was delicious. I noticed the server went around and asked other patrons how there food was but not me hmmmmmm . The best sushi I've had in Suffolk, the most expensive as well but it's worth it. The serving sizes for the entrees are smaller then the competition but the quality is significantly higher. I've only ordered carry out but the staff has always been friendly and my order has never been messed up, which if you've ever done carry out in Suffolk is a rarity. I always just pick three random rolls and have never been disappointed, I guess their biggest selling point is their consistency in quality which is also a rarity these days. read more

We went in at about 7pm on a Wednesday and the place was packed, that's always a good sign, right? We were famished and ordered everything in sight. They had a menu of speciality rolls that was buy 2 get one free, pretty great deal! We got three really good sized rolls (the Angel was my fav, can't remeber the other two) for $22. We also tried the gyoza, which was pretty good. It will definitely be a regular place for my husband and I when we move. The only thing I would recommend that they improve is the ambience. I'll be the fist to say that I am a bit particular when it comes to sushi. It's one of those foods that to me I would rather have done right or not at all. This place is a not at all. some of the worst sushi I've had in Hampton roads, and the worst I've had in Suffolk. I would have given it one star except the staff has always been very nice and my wife likes the dinner box with gyoza and teriyaki steak. She doesn't even eat the California roll that come with it. If you want decent sushi and the wife wants something cooked in central Suffolk go to Sapporo Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar. If you wants truly good sushi in central Suffolk (or most of Suffolk) go to Sushi Aka. I stopped going here years ago, but a pregnant wife talked me into trying it again. Fantastic sushi but the experience was lacking. Every sushi restaurant I've been too starts you off with soup and salad. I mean, it's a given that salad and soup are brought to the table. This place has some of the best Sushi I have ever had. They have a great lunch special 2 rolls and a salad/soup for $6.95/ 3 rolls and salad/soup for $9.95.
