I have uploaded my hand and feet photos because they turned out absolutely beautiful. Also sharing Lien and Chiz pictures these two beautiful ladies deserve all the credit for their work!!! I had my nails done by Lien and Chi and I cannot express how truly kind, gentle, respectful, and attentive they both were. They listened so carefully to my preferences, checked in with me throughout the service, and made sure every detail was perfect. Their work is neat, elegant, and exactly what I wanted. The entire team at Nancy Nails & Spa has such a warm, genuine energy. The atmosphere feels welcoming, calm, and honest--no rush, no pressure, just happy service providers who clearly care about their clients. The appointment took around 2.5 hours, and I liked the final color and overall look of the nails. The salon itself is very clean and has a luxury/self-care vibe. As soon as I walked in, they offered me a complimentary fancy drink and a small treat, which was such a nice touch. They also have iPads available during the service, so I ended up watching Emily in Paris while getting my nails done. What impressed me the most was their cleanliness. After each customer, they thoroughly cleaned everything with Clorox wipes, including the desk, chairs, and surrounding area. As a first-time customer, they also gave me 10% off plus a cute little gift bag with cuticle oil, hand cream, and nail care instructions. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected a little more attention to detail for a professional service at this level. A couple of nails had small imperfections. For example, one thumb wasn't fully covered near the edges and part of it looked matte, almost like the top coat didn't fully seal the edge. One other nail also had a slightly uneven surface. They're small details, but noticeable up close. Overall though, I enjoyed the experience, loved the atmosphere, and would consider coming back again to try other technicians.

It flaked off thin nail polish and lifted on the sides and at the cuticle. Not to mention the cuticle work was really bad. And I had to show her how uneven each nail was as she filed them. What a waste of $40 and $8 tip!! Apparently in the reviews you have to ask for Mary, Kate or Hannah. So many of my friends love this salon. But my experience was not good. I came to Mermaid Nail Art with somewhat chipped acrylic nails, several nails *almost* lifting and falling off, but otherwise what I thought was pretty good shape. But Amber soon educated me--and let me know that the other salons I had been going to had been sanding and sanding and sanding away at my nail until I had a super thin nail bed. So Amber made sure to fix my nail shape by making it more convex, and I was was already so pleasantly surprised at this point. But then, she completed the amazing experience by adding this amazing, detailed art. I ended up with something very odd and much more expensive. I had no clue walking out what the hell is on my finger nails... it does kinda look french tip, but it's big, bulky, your nails are completely unusable for standard nail stuff (like opening letters, peel off labels) and it feels like I got an extra 1/4 inch of stuff on it. After asking my friends, turns out that this is not your standard good old French tip, it's a SNS situation that you can't get off anymore. Yikes! I was just about to go and buy a nail polish remover when they told me that you can't use it for those kind of nails. I had to seriously google the whole disaster and also checked their website, instead of the $30 french tip manicure, they quietly upgraded me to the $55 SNS one. They never asked if I even wanted that and with me having absolutely no idea what the hell was going on, I couldn't intervene to tell them that this isn't what I ordered. I remember thinking that the price is way too much and why did I sit for over an hour what should have taken 30min. Lesson learned, I'll never ever do a nail service again. This will take months to grow out unless I'm willing to douse my hands in 100% acetone for 15-20min and try to get this glub back off (had to google this also)... I can't even say that this was a great job, since my friends said it's too thick and not looking good. If you are new to nails, this isn't the right place, they'll do whatever to charge the most expensive service even if you didn't order it. I assume a seasoned pro would have stopped them in their tracks, but now I'm stuck with this, can't use my nails, paid too much and can't get it off without a lot of effort.

I had grown out my natural nails to a length I loved, and she used an electric file to shorten them, which caused all of my nails to break. She also cut my skin and made me bleed. When I returned and explained what happened, she seemed annoyed and again used an electric file, which caused a burning sensation. When I pulled away, she rolled her eyes at me. I refuse service with her and the relationship with the salon turned sour, guessing because she is the owner lol anyways I've taken my business elsewhere there's hundreds of great nail salons out there and better technicians that would take better care of your nails. Using an electric filer to file down nail is a big NO.
