I had a great experience at PCS HQ. I found this place on yelp when I was looking for a place to buy my nephew a case for his new iPHONE 6. They had them very reasonably priced $24.99 for a sturdy case. I also purchased a screen cover to try and insure the screen would not get broken $19.99 and you can even hit the screen with a hammer and it is not supposed to break. So far so good. But then two days later I dropped my iPHONE 5s and the screen got damaged. I brought it in and they replaced the screen for approx $82 as I waited. It took about 15 min. I am so happy I found this place and will go their for my iPHONE needs. read more

I called a different cell phone repair in Brea today and they didn't answer their phone. I called the next number and I am so glad the first guy didn't pick up! Charlie and Jason were fantastic. I am a single mom and money is tight but I have been wanting to fix my daughter's cracked screen for a very long time but put it off because I was afraid of how much it would cost. They were able to use my old cell phone and trade out parts to make her a practically brand new phone. They even bought my old phone from me, saving me even more money towards the repair! I got it fixed for less than half the price that I was originally quoted. The guys are friendly, respectful, and do fantastic work! Ended up fixing my problem, but not without pouting and telling me that he was going to lose money and trying to explain the business model to me of not losing money. I'm sure none who walks in their wants to pay for the service and lose money, but when you make a mistake you gotta do what you gotta do. Any company can be good when they are making the sale, as this one was. It's what happens when problems arise that I care about. I had my screen fixed in January. No issues. About 3 weeks ago, it started lifting along with a light frame surrounding the edges. I took it back and I had just missed the warranty of 90 days by a few days. Jason says to me "Why didn't you come in earlier?" Um, I work and have 3 kids. I'm lucky I got in there. None of his business. Long story short, He tells me he can't fix it, it's LCD damage along with the lifting of the screen. The LCD damage didn't start until the screen started lifting, but he knew it all and said they weren't related????? I had previously called the credit card co and said that they would deal with company and retract payment and because the time frame was still short, they had a warranty and would give me my money back and deal with the company. CC said to go to them to see if they would make good on it before going through them because it would take a while. So Jason tells the other man they can't fix it and theirs damage underneath. Fine, I tell him I'm just going to go through CC if there was nothing he can do. He proceeds to take off screen to possibly see something, not quite sure what. Again they tell me without replacing entire screen at my cost, they can't fix it. Fine, understood. Puts my phone back together and now the screen is green. Green large and thin stripes running all the way down. Guy steps back and lets Jason take care of it. Jason is now telling me theres nothing they can do. Wants me to buy new screen. Offers me product price of 69.00 only and not to pay labor. No. Just give me my phone the way it came it to you I say. Lifted screen and light frame around screen. I'll take it and go through the cc. I'm not going to spend any money on a phone that is almost 3 years old. He can't/won't give me my phone in that condition. Says the green screen is there to stay unless I pay the money to get a new screen. Again and again I repeated, "I understand you can't fix the screen, please return my phone to me in the condition I gave it to you. I can deal with the lifted screen." He continues to tell me it is now this way and in he cannot return it to the condition it was in 20 minutes ago. How is this my fault I'm wondering. You knew the lcd damage was there and continued on to take off the screen to make it worse. You are the experts, not me, why did you do that? Since you did however, why is it not your company's responsibility to fix it? Long story, he calls his boss and he changes the screen which is why I gave 2 in stead of one star. While he's changing it he literally keeps telling me that he is out 69.00 and his business has to take a loss. Really?? I'm in it about 400.00 to your company because of broken screens. Seems like for 69.00 when it was your fault and you know customers will most likely come back seems like a pretty good deal to you to make it right. Especially since I had another iPhone with a cracked screen that I was gonna replace this visit. OH well. They did end up fixing it, but not without about an hour being there and mindless conversations about business models. There are so many places to get screens fixed you think they would be a little more customer friendly when an issue did arise. I had actually given this place a 5-star rating several months ago, but would like to officially retract that rating and say that PCS HQ has now become an extremely cocky, greedy and rude establishment. To be fair, I decided to wait a week to post this, because I figured if I was still mad over a week later then they did indeed deserve this review: first it should be noted that I had brought 4 different phones to this location to be serviced, paid full price for them all, and even tipped the technician each time. The last phone I brought will truly be the LAST PHONE; over the past several months their prices have skyrocketed, and so have their attitudes. The owner was so very rude to me from the moment I walked in; naive, I actually assumed he would recognize me from my repeated business. Quite the opposite actually, he looked up from his desk, almost annoyed at my entrance. I smiled acknowledging my cracked i-phone screen, and he immediately quoted me a price that was more than double what I paid before. I told him I couldn't afford that, and would sadly have to look elsewhere. When I turned to leave he begrudgingly offered a TINY discount, one that he said he'd write off as a 'punchcard' discount for the multiple repairs I claimed; I say "claimed" because the entire time he looked at me like I was lying about the phones I had brought him! To be very clear I NEVER asked for a discount, I was being 100% truthful when I said I couldn't afford that price - me turning and walking toward the door is what prompted him to offer the discount in the first place! I thanked him, SO very genuinely and SO kindly, and he returned my thank you with an annoyed grimace! I left him to his work and figured I'd start fresh with a smile upon my return. When I walked in, it was his son who had my phone. The place was completely empty so he knew it was my phone and rudely asked "May I help you" I smiled and said yes sorry you have my phone, think it's right there next to you; I pointed to it, since the owner, his father had not given me a receipt. Annoyed, he began ringing me up, he looked at the applied discount angrily (mind you this was the TINIEST of discounts, barely covered the tax, and I still paid almost $130). His father then acknowledged it by saying "Ya I gave her the discount because apparently she's brought us millions of phones." in the most SARCASTIC tone you could imagine. I was trying to keep my cool because A) they still had my phone and B) I have a big heart. But the last straw was when the owner's son picked up one of their punchcards and held it in front of my face like I was in elementary school, "We won't be able to do anything like this next time, from now on you need to use one of these punchcards." I grabbed the card and said, "thank you very much, but with all due respect sir, it was your father who initiated the punchcard discount not I. He wanted to save the sale because I told him I couldn't afford it and was getting ready to leave." At this point, I honestly expected the son to stand down, and say, "OH I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. I WASN'T THERE." But instead, he says, "YOU ARE LYING! I WAS IN THE BACK LISTENING TO YOUR CONVERSATION THE WHOLE TIME YOU WERE THE ONE WANTING A DISCOUNT!" This was completely and utterly untrue! As I explained before Charlie (his father) offered the punch card discount to save the sale, knowing that I could not afford the price he quoted. I wasn't playing 'hardball' I really couldn't afford it, and knowing that I was ready to leave he offered the discount! Mind you this was my fourth phone! AT DOUBLE THE PRICE! Besides all that his son had absolutely no business opening his mouth to me at all, especially since he wasn't there! And then calling me a liar! And insinuating I was cheap!!! All it proves to me is that PCS HQ had experienced some brief success and great reviews, got cocky and raised their prices $$$. I will never be back. ever. What was once friendly and affordable, has turned expensive and cold. save your money folks, there are lots of hardworking honest and kind people who will fix your phone for half the price..with half the attitude. read more

Learn from my mistake. I went there from Whittier because of the yelp reviews. I took my iPad for a broken screen for $99. He said you had 3 dented edges and that's would be $30 more. I said I have an iPhone 5 that has a broken screen. How much. He said $79 more. I said would I get a discount for getting both my iPad and iPhone fixed. He said yes 5% on parts on my iPhone which was $2.45. My bill came out to $213. My phone was fixed in 10 minutes but three hours for my iPad. He called me 2 1/2 hours later and said it was done. I showed up handed my credit card and he said the machine was down. I told him I don't have the money on me and he said Wells Fargo is down the street. I told him. I don't bank there and had to locate a credit union. He did not tell me at the time I dropped off my iPad/phone nor when he called to say my iPad was ready that the credit card machine was down. I don't carry $220 cash on me especially when your business says it takes credit cards. What kind of company does that. He could have called into the credit card company and got a verbal authorization over the telephone but he didn't. He handed me a frequency card and said to come back again. When I got outside, I ripped up that card and threw it on the floor because I will never go there again. What would have happened if I didn't have $220 in my bank to cover the cost. He is a liar. He just didn't want to pay the credit card fees. Also for my inconvenience do you think he offered me any discount for running to the bank for his miscommunication. The answer is no. read more

Charlie is a nice guy and has a good personality, but he is a liar. I took my iPhone 4 to him to have a button replaced and after it was done the button worked great but the speaker phone didn't work. Had to take my phone back to get it fixed again and it was fine. Then my proximity sensor stopped working which turns the screen off while the phone is against your ear on a call. So now when I'm on a phone call my face calls other people, mutes them, turns speaker on/off etc. He did not have an explanation and had no idea why it didn't work yet he claims he went to an "apple convention" which teaches you how to "repair iPhones." Bottom line is he messed up my phone and refused to offer a solution to get it working. DO NOT USE HIM FOR IPHONE REPAIR!!! read more

Came into this hole in the wall phone repair store, and to my surprise it was actually busy! The staff is nice and friendly, they take their time when fixing your screen. They are also very vigilant when putting back together your phone, I sat right in front of him watching him like a hawk and he did an amazing job haha. After they finish putting your screen on they do a test to make sure everything works and give you a 30 day warranty! I highly recommend this place if your phone is broken!!! Screw the ones in Brea mall they are rude and I'm sorry that you hate your job! But again I highly recommend Francisco!
