Not your typical VIP service anymore. This one in particular is always running out of something whether is a starter, or a dessert. And quite often something doesn't work on that day, today it was the call buttons last time it was their soda machine. This theater is chronically understaffed so that only makes things worse, Employees would sometimes for others and thus make mistakes. They're slow and get your order wrong. Sometimes you get your main before you get your starters. The employees get stressed out so in turn you get stressed out too out. Customer service leaves plenty to be desired although today the servers were quite friendly. read more

We recently went this week on a Thursday. They offered us a nice cozy blanket. The seats are premium. The pod was clean. The table was clean and our server explained to us how it all worked. I rarely post reviews but last night the service was terrible. The sound was freakishly loud. It was cold , no blankets. The popcorn was super salty , cold and stale. It took 2 calls to get water , arriving 1 hour into movie. None of the checks were delivered. Instead we all waited outside the theatre in a huge throng of parents and unmasked kids surrounding the waiters. I could see the dismay in the staffs eyes. They must be short staffed. read more

An upscale theatre located in the domain. We went with 3 couples and their seating accommodations were amazing! 2-person private feeling booths made for a cozy night. The blankets they leave on the loungers were a nice touch. The food was absolutely 10/10. I didn't have super high expectations for the food, but they know how to bring the flavor. So the bottom line I spent $72 for one person to see a movie and eat... OUCH!! Here's my breakdown and thoughts on iPic Austin at The Domain. Pros - Seats feel private - Table moves and has a call button and light - blanket and pillow with each seat - AMAZING sweet tea - big screen and very luxury feeling - free popcorn with the seat - awesome service - great menu with a variety to choose from including keto items (see menu in their app) Cons - sweet tea was $6.25 - food was $27 and was cold and tasteless. They charged me $3 to swap to Sweet potato fries that were cold and soggy - not enough room for my legs to stretch out - seat was a little tight - did last call 45 mins into the movie. I wanted more but had already gotten my receipt - $28 to see a movie??? Why?? - $45+ to join the loyalty program and get pretty much nothing in return... - parking is somewhat difficult I'm sorry but I just keep thinking $72 for one person to see a movie and eat a very small amount of food. $27 got me a medium fry and 4 steak skewers and they were small. Ouch that's a lot to just see a movie. Not sure I can get past that regardless of all the Pros. They do offer a Keto Menu which you can access via their app. I do like their app a lot. Was easy to book my ticket and no convenience fee nor taxes. $28 straight which is nice. I rarely ever book online with Alamo, Movie House, Cinemark etc because of the added fees. IPic is the place to go when you want to impress someone, or for a rather lengthy film or for any other reason you choose. Although, it's much more pricey compared to other theatres it justified by the fact that you have a bit of privacy so you're not burdened with noises from the strangers around you. Did you know you also get complimentary popcorn?! Also, reclining seats and clean blanket provided is a nice extra feature. I'm the person who always brings a blanket so I don't have to worry about that when I visit iPic. The reason I give it 4 stars if for the upgraded "pod" type seating as well as the leather seats. I very much enjoyed the plush velvet seats they had originally. They were much more comfortable and seemed a bit larger. It's hard to enjoy a movie with a large group of friends because of the seating. Also, I've noticed the last few times I've visited that the restrooms were not very well maintained. If you decide to visit, I do suggest getting a gold membership, you will save money with food discounts and tickets. read more

The service from the wait staff is my reason for the rating. I have been to other movie theaters of this sort (i.e. Flex, Alamo Draft house) and have had much better service. During my visit to this establishment, I ordered a glass of wine from the waiter, which I asked for more than once and it never came. I am leaving this review just to let the staff know that it STINKS I have been going to ipic for years and never have I seen the place in this kind of shape. The bathrooms were disgusting and the theatre smells like soiled carpet. I didn't get any food this time but the food hardly ever disappoints, hopefully that still stands. So I recently got a ticket for 2 days before the movie choice that I wanted to see with my date. I got a call for a gig that I have to work so I had to cancel, as I proceeded to cancel my tickets. The website or app says you have to either contact them by phone or come to their location and get a refund. So I called at least eight times. No one answered the phone, full staff and service was in attendance once I arrive instead,due to the reason of me not being able to contact them through their phone. With that said that is very unprofessional in my opinion i assume they tried to keep your money by making it hard to contact them to get ur money back as I assume I try to cancel, I had to drive 30 minutes to their location to even get a refund and as I got a refund, the manager came down to handle my refund and had a very rude attitude as he proceeded to give me my refund, no type of thank you for your business or any of that type of gesture, I see why the vibe inside is very depressing in business is not very decent as any movie theater should be a place of business where you can come to see your movie and the staff having very professional attitudes towards their position . save ur money with booking on app just buy ticket at the door .i deff will not be bring my business back.my 1st experience was not the vibe read more

If you're looking to make going to the movie theaters an *experience*, then look no further! This is essentially the most upscale movie theater adventures can be with reclining seats, privacy pods, complimentary blankets, and a small table for two to share. The menu is big enough where there is a good variety of finger foods and proper meals. Service was pretty decent there as well; it does take a bit of time to get food out especially if they are full but for the most part they were pretty efficient. NOTE: it cost me in total $95 for 2 people both for the tickets and food that we paid for there. This place is meant to be an experience and I would likely not go see every movie here simply because I can't justify spending that much every time a new movie comes out. Additionally, if you're a visual eater like I am then this might not be the greatest as the theater gets extremely dark and you will need your phone as a a brief makeshift flashlight. If you're looking for a fun date night though, something new and exciting, this is a great place to go! PS: they have some interesting rules such as placing a $75 hold on your card for the entirety of your movie until you leave and not letting you into the theater if you're later than 15 minutes past start time. I can understand the late one to an extent, but the hold for me personally I don't see much point in. read more

They went and done it. You can no longer walk in and waste time with a game of pool, you now have to be a sapphire Member. As if paying $20 to watch a movie and another $20 to eat and drink isn't enough. The free pool tables where actually a bonus for choosing to give you my business now I have to give you more money. I get it, things cost and those pool tables are taking up real estate. But seriously, you've been open for years, making dew. Now I sit and wait for my movie at the bar while the pool tables aren't being used. Sure I could pay another $8 but seriously.......... we've pay to come why pay to stay. If you are looking for an intimate experience to watch a movie here is a way to do that. You have your own private pod area for two. Complimentary popcorn. The seats go all the way down and feet up, complete with a cup holder in the wall that you can pop out as you pull your blanket over you, fluff your pillow, and snack on whatever you ordered to eat. Overpriced seats but privacy is nice. Headrest of seats suck had to put their blanket behind my head to be able to help support my head. My last visit here was in mid 2019 and it was a sub par experience overall because the food was downright bad, so I had avoided this place for a time. I am happy to report that I had the fish and chips at my latest visit and it was really good, it was hot and crispy and delicious. read more

Awful experience at Ipic Domain. The theater was extremely warm. It was over 100 degrees outside and the theater was about 75-76 degrees. Never in the history of my life have I been to a theater that was warm, they are always ice cold. They recommend showing up 30 minutes prior to start time of the movie to get your food and drinks ordered. They didn't open theater doors until five minutes before start time. Movie started at 4:20 and they opened doors at 4:15. I could overlook these two things but then our drinks (water and Sprite) came out 30 minutes after our food. I had to leave the theater and request a manager because of no assistance from wait staff and our help button being on. We'll be sticking with Alamo Drafthouse from now on. read more

Okay so I didn't pay for the tickets so I can't say whether the cost is worth it but this is definitely a premium experience. I was in town for NYE and after 48 hours partying, we were done. My buddy woke my up and said "get dressed, we're going to the movies". What a perfect plan it was... big comfy chairs, blankets, pillows, dark room, and servers bringing me mozzarella sticks! Plus the little walls on the side of your chair... in my hungover state it was perfect walking in and not even having to look at another human being. Mozz sticks were good. The server was there when we needed him. And I really enjoyed my afternoon of darkness. Now that I know what the price of the tickets, I would not be able to make this a regular thing, but sometimes it's nice to splurge on a date night... or when you're super hungover :) read more

Some of the theaters have now been renovated (look for the seat maps that have all premium plus seating). Yea! The seating is all private pods with two seats. Enter each pod from one side only. Less armrest space, storage space for purses, etc, is gone, but a lot more private. Bumps up the romance factor for date night, but I'd be a bit uncomfortable to share a pod with a stranger. The handicap seating row is more open, the only non-pod row, if you're wanting to score just one seat. Recliners are leather; a huge step up from the old broken worn cloth recliners. Table between seats in the pod swivels a bit, which is nice. Call buttons for wait staff have not been installed. They cutely mention, saying their ninja staff will check on your needs. "Ninja" apparently means silent and invisible, as I was visited only once, and that was after the movie had started. So A+ on the comfortable new seating and additional privacy. A little sad to see the arm space so shrunk, and a little work to do on consistent service (or to finish with the call buttons). Solid 4 star now with potential for greater. read more

I have been coming here for years and loved it, but our last experience was so bad we will probably not ever go back. We arrive about 45min before to grab a drink at the bar. After standing there for 10min (in front of three bartenders and a manager) we were finally offered menus, and immediately ordered two cocktails and an order of fries. It then took 30min for those two cocktails to be made, we never got the fries (that we were charged for) so we ended up paying $40 for two half filled martini glasses, I told the manager that we were charged for fries we didn't receive and she said "ok" left and never came back. I asked several other employees about it and no one ever handled the issue. Since our movie at this point had started we just had to just leave it and planned to deal with it after the film. In the theater the heat was on full blast and really oppressive. We and several other people around us asked to have it turned down but it never was. We sat for 30min and were never approached by a server, when my Boyfriend finally left the theater to find a server we were told the call button at our seat was broken (which ok, that happens but if that was known then why did a server never approach us?) we ordered two (large) glasses of wine an appetizer and some popcorn. The appetizer came out immediately but the tuna smelled bad so it was inedible and half the items in the description were not on the plate. (Now an hour into the movie) our glasses of wine arrived but they were the wrong wine. The server never returned.... I went out to find a server and could see them all sitting in the staff room but no one came out to serve me so I eventually just went back to the theater. Now with about 20min left on the movie our ticket comes and we inform the server that we couldn't eat the food and that our popcorn never came and at that point she tells us the popcorn machine is broken (maybe could have been mentioned before when we ordered the popcorn) I was not offered a refund or credit for the un-eaten app and we pointed out that the popcorn was on the bill but no one ever came back to refund it. With the food we never ate, two half cocktails, two wrong orders of wine and tickets we ended up paying almost $200. And when I went into the woman's bath room there was over flowing trash, water everywhere, and several backed up toilets which is gross. I get businesses have bad nights but that was ridiculous. I asked on multiple occasions for someone to help us fix the situation but no one ever came back after going to "get help". Normally when a business has one bad night after many good nights I just try to resolve it and move on. But I've tried contacting the theater repeatedly and no one contacts me back so it doesn't seem like they care to fix the issues. read more

Alamo Draft house as soon as you sit someone is in your face to take your order. They are understaff and cannot hold up there end on getting you your orders. You would do better by bringing your own food and drink. Service is HORRIBLE!!! The side of the seat has sticky stuff stuck! YUCK! Do they even clean the seats. I ask for a manager, he was clueless. We chose a time that wasn't too late in consideration of meal time. We arrived 30 minutes early, as requested both online after ticket purchase and per the posted notice at the check-in desk. At check-in, we were informed that we could not enter the theater for another ten minutes. Once we were finally seated, we waited approximately 30 minutes until we were approached by a worker for our order. We expected that we would order well before this time and had selected the help or service button at our table. We waited for about 15 minutes for our drinks after ordering and a total of 30 minutes for our fast food of nachos and chicken tenders. The menu did not say chicken tenders, it said buttermilk chicken which led us to believe it was a chicken platter, a meal you eat with a fork and knife. Had we wanted fast food, we would have ordered Sonic or Taco Cabana. I went to the restroom for a bathroom visit before our food arrived and saw a server bringing in a dessert plate! Ipic has remodeled! Gone are the stinky cloth recliners! Now leather and not bumpy!!! Service was impeccable- no waiting :30 for service - they were right on the spot. Food was delicious but the bun was a bit big for the slider burger. Spring roll was VERY spicy. Look: Going here is an event. It's a great date nite place - cozy and comfortable. It's still a bit pricey for dinner and a movie - so save it for that time when you need to make an impression, need to say you're sorry, need to fall in love. Save it for the first night out post baby, for when you need to arrange mom moving in, to announce another deployment. It's special. And it's very nice. We're lucky to have it. We chose to try out IPIC tonight to get the "amazing experience" we always hear of. Absolutely not, never again. Thank goodness the movie was great because that was the only redeeming factor. Food was cold, pop corn was bland because they were "out of seasoning", never received our drinks. It took until that last 30 minutes of the 2.5 hour movie to get a glass of water. The theater smelled strange, but was being pumped with some artificial air freshener to cover it up. And the bathrooms were a mess. The staff was disorganized and unfriendly, unfortunately they're probably short staffed. Better to save a few dollars at Cinemark or Alamo Draft House because this place is a mess! read more

One of the worst theater experiences I ever had. All I ever heard was rave for this place, but this was the first and last time I ever go here. I ordered food and a drink at 7:47 pm. We watched everyone get their food and asked about ours. Finally we were told around 9:21 pm (hour and half into movie) that they lost our order and would comp us. They brought meal out in the final twenty minutes, never brought me my drink and brought some popcorn out in the final 5 minutes. They were also out of blankets and pretty much all the cocktail ingredients we tried to order. It was super noisy. They talk to you during the movie and make no effort to not obstruct your viewing of the screen. Terrible place to go. Don't waste your money. I am grateful they comped most of the meal, but still feel cheated out of my $35 in tickets. I could have seen same movie at Cinemark for $6 a seat and left with a richer experience. Yuck. Boo. Wow what a theater! Ipic is truly an upscale venue to take in a movie! My wife and I went to watch a movie and got the VIP package... this is over 50$ but includes fully reclining plush seats, a pillow, a blanket, and free popcorn. Still I felt it was s bit high... there are other places that have the fully reclining wonderful seats that are about half the price and I really don't need to take a nap (if the pillow and blanket are the reason for the up charge.. keep them)... I'm here to watch a movie. However we wanted to try this location and it was a special occasion... so on we went. The inside is really set up nice. I think you could sit at their bar drink all night relax in their lounge and eat their high quality food al while never knowing you were in a movie theater! It really is nice inside! Truly restaurant quality digs! The theater is intimate, almost personal and very nice also. There is a full bar with specialty drinks, a descent selection of beer and wine as well. The menu has things like a lobster roll, or filet slides, calamari, and other upscale foods on it... it is not your average food by any means. I got the lobster roll and my wife got the filet sliders... the lobster roll was divine! Buttery tender and decadent! Savory upscale food at a movie theater. Hold on though here's the thing... I tried my wife's filet sliders and OH MY GOD! They were better then the lobster! Ohhhhh goodness.... it was heavenly and as another yelper says... it was slap your mama twice good! (Stole saying from Mr Texas) We did have the calamari as well and that was under whelming... the sauce was weird and really not edible while each piece of calamari had different seasoning or flavor from bite to bite... I'd pass on this next time. Our server was excellent and the place was clean as can be! A very upscale option to watch a movie. However by the time we drank ate and bought tickets we paid almost 200$ to watch a movie!!! Really?!? Holly cow! Seriously?!? Had to get up off of floor after passing out!! Should have called the EMTs.... I think my heart stopped for a bit! We saw "IT" a very creepy horror movie, but to me the real scare were the prices!! Out of control!! That is the darkest and coldest theatre experience of my life. The food was bad, no server came to check on us and we had to flag one down. We came in during the previews and it was so dark we could not find our seats! No one offered to help us anywhere. When I finally flagged down a server she was very nice. The managers move slow to solve problems and never call to update you. I've called multiple time and told I'll be called back and never do. Hosted a private event last night for my husbands birthday and we couldn't be happier. Larry and his staff were so helpful, patient, and accommodating. They really were willing to go above and beyond for us. The theater is also really great. The adjustable seats are nice and comfy. And the food is yummy!!
