My husband and I were EXTREMELY disappointed with our experience here. The movie tickets are very expensive for what you get. The restrooms were filthy, with toilet paper all over the floor, many of the toilets were not flushed. This wasn't a big deal, just quite gross. My main complaint was the terrible service and food quality. We ordered drinks and some of the cheesy biscuits to start. The biscuits came out in a reasonable amount of time. The biscuits however, were very stale, and tasted like they were old. For our meal we ordered the chicken spring rolls and fried chicken. An hour and a half into the movie we still had not gotten our food. The waiter came by to ask if we wanted to close out our tab and that's when we informed him we still hadn't gotten our entrees. He said the kitchen mixed up our orders and never made the food. There was about 20 minutes left of the movie when we did finally get our food. The spring rolls were good, the fried chicken was not good. The chicken was tough and the batter was not fully cooked. Neither entree came with sides. The cost of the food is expensive for what you get. Had I known the chicken did not come with a side, I would have ordered something in addition. To make up for the "kitchens" mistake the waiter took the entrees off the bill, but honestly that was not enough compensation. We will not be coming back here and I will definitely not be recommending anyone go here. All in all, the experience was quite disappointing. For a place that charges premium prices for "VIP" seating and food, we expected an extraordinary experience. Instead, we got terrible service and mediocre food. read more

The best part of the theatre was by far the seating. Cozy chairs with recliners, pillows, and a blanket, with plenty of personal space between you and the other patrons. The food was just okay, but the cocktails were phenomenal so I'd recommend this theatre for an after- dinner show. Great idea for a first date. The sound and picture quality was flawless as well. My only con was that it was quite pricey, I understand why and know what I'm paying for; I would consider this theatre for special occasions and not for general movie watching. I was impressed with the management taking my review seriously and decided to give iPic another chance. I was impressed with how the manager Don responded and ensured that this time I would leave with a great impression. We came in late and was immediately taken care of. The food we ordered which was the sliders, truffle fries, quesadillas was out of this world and the amount was definitely done right! The quality was fresh and the flavors were truly unique. I can say the value was worth the quality and that's what I always make sure it adds up! iPic delivered on their promises. The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because there is no zero star option. Gold Class was much better, far better, way and beyond better, than what it is now that it is called iPic. This place will not last long. After my wife and I paid $95.38 for chicken strips, chicken salad, and 3 cheeseburger sliders (which were advertised as a "cheeseburger cooked to order"), and two movie tickets, we were pissed. And this was the "early bird" pricing...we went at 11 am on a Saturday morning, September 10, 2011. The food is awful. Absolutely, horribly, awful. I don't mind paying good money for good food, but this was good money for not good food. We didn't even take a doggie bag home to feed to our dogs, that is how nasty it was. The menu posted online is not the menu you get once seated. So, if you are looking for that club sandwich, or anything else on the online menu, don't count on it being there when you show up. I also don't mind paying for $22 movie tickets for a comfortable seat with a blanket and pillow. However, I noticed what at best I hope was food residue, but at worst was snot, on both the recliner seat, the blanket, and the pillows. I was afraid to touch them. I did find our waiter very friendly and attendant, it is not his fault he was working for a horrible company. Just trying to make his way in the world. So I would say the service we got was good. But heck, you can get good service at McDonald's, and frankly get a better burger there, too. So we filled out the online complaint form, and did receive a response within 2 business days as promised. We were asked to call a local number and ask for David. We called the number provided in the email and the number is not a working number. We then called the main published number and only got a recording and voice mail. This place sucks. Do not go there. I was visiting Austin and went to see Total Recall at the Ipic theatre. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and cozy the lounge was. Kirsten made us a very fresh tasting strawberry mojito at the bar. She recommended the mahi trio which was an excellent choice. Love this place! read more

I know its early yet but YIKES on the high price mini food choices! The only good seats here are the back center row. DO NOT sit on the side aisles. They should sell those seats for less. It was a hard watch from that angle. The bottomless popcorn was dry and I was never offered more than one bag. Our Tuck room bar waitress was not sufficiently trained and a bit too chatty! We went from going here every weekend to hoping there was another theater playing the movie so we wouldn't have to ensure the inability to take care of its customers. This theater is super nice and classy. There's a full menu and bar and pool tables in the bar area. The theater itself is a bit pricey but definitely worth the atmosphere and comfort. This update was at the request of the management of iPic who insisted I give it another shot. I really felt I was just not one of their customers but agreed that without having experienced the orange chair section, I wasn't really in the know. So I went to a movie and sat in the orange chairs in what I thought would be the best two seats in the theater. Unfortunately, the bottom of the screen is almost cut off by the chairs below and the railing behind it, especially close when you recline your seat. The chairs were pretty comfortable, but they are covered in a fabric that seemed a bit in need of cleaning. I think just going with leather, or leather-like, chairs is the best way to go for longevity. It was ok to share a table with my partner, but if I had to share with a stranger, I would think it... strange. Some Alamo's have that too and I'm not so much a fan, but they are better than the long table in front, for sure. The wait staff was so very nice. I really appreciated that difference this time. In the end, I still think that I am not their customer because of where I live and the cost I am willing to pay would take me to another theater. read more

My thoughts after my first visit here: they make the online purchasing part of it unnecessarily involved - you have to sign up and get a password in order to buy tix. Then to use my card they had to text me a verification code to input on the payment page. Way too many steps for buying a movie ticket. The theater itself is very swanky cool and the seats were super comfy. They give you a pillow and a blanket which is nice. The menu is better than competitors IMO - but it is WAY over-priced for what you get. I didn't like that the two chairs share a skinny table so you have to sit up completely and share a table or put your food on your lap. Also - with two plates on the table, my drink partially blocked my view which was annoying. All in all, it is a nice theater but I won't come here again. There are better overall options in the area that are far less expensive so the choice is really a no brainer. read more

The theater gets five stars for environment and atmosphere, but only two for food. The lounge and bar area is a great place to relax and socialize both before and after your movie. It's great to go to a theater that is clean and relaxing and not filled with neon lights and video games. Even the bathrooms are classy. In addition to the traditional men's and women's options there is also a private family bathroom. A super nice touch is that while not adjustable, the automatic faucets provide comfortably warm water for hand washing. Super nice touch to have warm water instead of the unpleasant cold water put out by most auto-faucets. The premium seating is particularly comfortable. The arms of the chairs open up to provide storage space for purses, shopping bags, umbrellas or whatever you might be carrying. There are soft blankets provided should you care to use one. The seats are wide and recline to provide a most comfortable viewing experience. The movie viewing experience was great too. The pre-movie material at showtime was only a few minutes long and was limited to actual movie previews. There were no long montages introducing the theater and its policies and snack bar, nor excessive commercials. The picture quality was very nice, and the sound level was just right. They audio level was loud enough to be heard, but not overwhelmingly loud as it sometimes is in other theaters. We had come to iPic willing to pay the higher prices with memories of great dining choices from previous visits. But since earlier visits the menu has completely changed and seems to have lost the flair and quality that it used to have. The food here is overpriced and completely under quality compared to the premium experience that the rest of the theater provides. The experience starts with popcorn provided in the premium seats. The popcorn was of the typical cinemark-quality of theater popcorn: OK for cinemark but for the premium prices and experience at iPic I was expecting fresher and more wholesome with higher quality ingredients and flavors. The truffle fries at $9 were also a great disappointment. The potatoes were mealy, and the fries over-seasoned with truffle oil and drowned with shaved Parmesan. The meat in the trio of fillet sliders was lacking flavor brightness that I've come to expect from prime cuts of meat in Texas. Overall, I recommend the comfort and class of iPic but cannot recommend it for the food. read more

The last 4 times we have gone, it has been embarrassing for the price you pay to have bathrooms that are typically uncleaned and unstocked. Total bill was approximately $260.00. We started at the bar who made EXCELLENT drinks as we are high maintenance on our liquor and cocktails. We moved into the theater, that we had not been to in about a year or a little more. We were quite taken back once we sat in our seats. They were VERY dirty and dingy with deep stains and the theater did not smell up to par. I decided to spread the blanket, that was not individually wrapped (along with the pillow), as to demonstrate cleanliness, across my seat. I had brought a sweater so used that as the blanket. The popcorn was cold as was the food (shrimp appetizer and pizza). The pizza was almost 18.00 and was enough to feed one. What happened to this place? We frequented when they first opened and had excellent service and food. Additionally, the seats we were in were great EXCEPT when the service folks attending to the row in front of us visited, they were not worried about blocking our view of the screen. We were also taken back by the fact that we had multiple attendants EACH time we pushed our service button - that was not the case prior times. We then had to re-explain our drink request. We also had to ask the servers to please remove the used glasses and plates because they would just leave them and were not cautious of this. I'm sure a lot of this can be overlooked and dismissed as just being picky but seriously this experience was just not up to par and iPic should work on a few things to keep the standard for which it started out as. We would love to visit at least once a month for a date night but not for the price and lack of cleanliness and service, etc. Hopeful iPic will improve on these areas! Regards read more

After taking a break from IPic after a crude comment was made about my father that left a sour taste in my mouth, my family and I decided that we should give it another try especially since this is my fathers favorite place to see a movie. We went to see Snow White and the huntsmen, the menu is still the same but I believe that they have stepped up in how they are treating their customers. I did feel bad for the server working that day because it seemed as though that he was the only one set to take care of a full upper half of the theater. He did leave the plates and was late on refills but he was very kind. I am a fan and would love for them to jazz up the menu as they do the cocktails. read more

It was nice. I didn't know what to expect. I was working so I got to see a movie and get dinner for free. When I saw that the cost for a ticket was 19 bucks, there's no way I would ever go back. My server, Erin was very nice. I liked the seating arrangement and the cooshy reclining chairs. The food was okay, and way overpriced. Sat in the premium seats when we saw Captain America today. Definitely a little on the pricey side as far as movies go, but you're allowed to order from the express side before you go in if you're in premium seats. I ordered 2 cocktails, one was the strawberry lemonade which was extremely good and it was $11. My second cocktail was the red velvet Bellini which was also $11, however this time the guy informed me I could get the whole shaker for only $3 more and if the shaker was empty I could take it home with me! The seats were much more comfortable than regular theater seats (duh!) but I do wish they were slightly adjustable because even in the very last row of the premium seating you have to look up since you're quite close to the screen. Overall, had a great time but it's definitely a once in a while thing. read more

Really expensive, but you do get the perfect seat and free popcorn. They have a variety of food options which are also very expensive and you can order adult drinks, which is nice. Having the waiter bother you during the movie to pay is annoying, I suggest paying before it starts if you can. They take themselves a little too seriously, especially given the screen isn't that great and new digital screens elsewhere will give you better visual quality. I'm not sure I will ever return as my experience at a regular Cinemark is better. My suggestion is save your money and don't get a Big Head at iPic. read more

Definitely a place to watch a movie that's more than two hours long, but must get the reclined seats! Little on the pricey side but well worth the money because it is super comfy. You can register online as a member and the tickets are a little cheaper. They do have a small menu to order foods from, but keep in mind that these are more like snacks for a movies, not a full dinner meal. read more

LOVE!!! My boyfriend and I went for the first time over 2 years ago, and now we ration our movie-going experiences just so we can see them at iPic. I tend to say that we're "spoiled" now going to the movies; we can't go anywhere else! We're apart of the member program, so you earn points with every purchase. Because we can't afford to go all the time, we haven't had a change to cash in points for everything yet. But for being apart of this program, you receive a free movie ticket for your birthday! We definitely cannot go to any other theater anymore! The whole experience is just fantastic. From the comfy chairs, blankets, service, and food... hands down much better food than Alamo or any of the other eat-in theaters we tried in the past. Yes it's pricey, but just for a regular movie ticket somewhere ($12 avg) plus popcorn (no idea... $4,$6?), then you're really just paying a few more dollars for the extra comfy seating. We tend to go on off-days (Sunday), when it's a few dollars cheaper than going on a Friday or Saturday. Bottom line... Highly recommend! Treat yourself ;) read more

I love everything about iPic besides the price. If they offered a student ID discount I would totally do 5 stars. Their food is above fast food quality but below dine in which is expected and it's still really really good. Some items should cost a little bit less as well. Mainly the pizza because I can get a huge pizza from papajohns for the same price. Premium plus seating gets unlimited popcorn and refills on soft drinks which is def worth the extra cost when you get a reclining chair and a buzz button for refills & such. If they offered $3/4 bucks off for students... They would be impossible to beat. But for now... With the food and the discount for students, Alamo draft house has them beat by two notches. Didn't expect to get world class customer service from a movie Theater. My sister in law got my wife and I tickets to IPIC over a year ago. We finally found a babysitter and decided to go on a much needed date night. We were running late and finally made it to IPIC. We were immediately greeted by Seth. He welcomed us and immediately got to work. He told us that we could sign up with IPIC, get better seats and get a $14 refund which is exactly what we did. He took his time (while under pressure due to late start) and recommend two great seats). Seth helped make this much needed date night one of the best evenings my wife and I have had in a long time. I love iPic, the only thing I do not love is that the seats get so close to the screen and my neck hurts if I don't get tickets early enough to reserve a lounger. The loungers are where it is at, having someone bring you free popcorn and serving you drinks while you enjoy the movie! The bar and food is extremely good and I am overall a huge fan! read more

I recently had my first visit to iPic and I will definitely be going back! We got the premium seats and sitting in them felt like sinking into a cloud. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff was courteous and efficient. My only complaint was with their cocktails, which were very overpriced. Second time here and I'm embarrassed by having told my husband how great the concept is. It is. A great concept, that is. But it's one Alamo Drafthouse executes similarly so much better (even without the premium seating) and that Moviehouse knocks out of the park despite a much further drive for us. Mistakes happen, so I won't dwell on the slow slow SLOW service during the movie. 25 minutes for drinks, then a reminder of needing water took another 15 minutes of a wait. Meals never came- apparently delivered to the wrong table. Again, things happen and it wasn't the mistakes and snail pace service(which was likely the result of a waitstaff working multiple theaters) which caused us to leave early and frustrated... what infuriated me was the manager's seemingly "meh. we'll take the drinks off your bill but what else do you want me to say" attitude. I work in a luxury customer service business and was appalled having been on the receiving end of complaints, justified or sometimes not. If you're paying $36 for a movie experience and it doesn't work out well, a legitimately caring manager makes all the difference in whether you return. We visit IPic in the domain at least once a month. IPic is my wife's favorite movie house. The spacious recliners allow us to forget our surroundings and get immersed in the movie. On a few of our visits, we have been very fortunate to have Rebecca H as our server. She is always very friendly and our food and drinks are always just as we requested. Somehow she remembers us and welcomes us when we bump into her. She makes us feel very special. IPic is a great place to eat a bite, get a drink and watch a good movie. Overpriced version of alamo drafthouse. It's not worth paying more for the leather chairs and free blankets. Only the upgraded high prices will buy you service, otherwise you pick up your own food served in plastic to-go containers and bring them with you to the flick.
