No grey, blue screen, no lights even lighting up, dead. This happened before and I had to replace the battery, which I did myself on a Dell 5000 series. I had an extra battery, but I could not see well enough to unscrew the back, lots of screws. Saturday I called this service at random. Victor assured me he could have it done that day, for a very reasonable price. I took my laptop to him around 11 AM, with the battery. He had it working and called me a little later. We picked it up, and I was online before supper. Very nice man, and knew his stuff. Even wiped down my system for me. I brought the whole case in and the guys removed the battery, installed the new ones and did a voltage check. Then carried the whole unit to my car.
