I couldn't ditch them since they were from my father and emotional attachment associated. "The instrument is too new to have parts ready for replacement so it'd have to wait in the shop a year," they said, "And even if we could get the parts, it would be over $700 parts and labor." Next, I took it to Rock'n Repair where they gave me a free consultation to diagnose the problem, found the parts needed within minutes online, and fixed it for $177 parts and labor within 2 weeks. I'm playing my keytar again and it feels so good! Thank you Rock'n Repair! To general folks - don't waste your time with "official dealers" who are just going to take your money and run. This repair shop is the real deal.
