Everything worked well until that following day when nobody could hear my calls and my screen started to fill up with green, and that's when I realized that my phone somehow got water inside of it, and as it had only been to the store the previous day, it became abundantly clear that the water had come from the repair. Mohammed fixed it quickly and for a good price but for some odd reason, the phone just did not work with any 3rd party screens. Mohammed spent a lot of his time trying to get it to work, but I brought it to Apple and we figured out that only the original screen would work. So he put the original back on and fully refunded me even though he spent considerable time trying to fix the phone. 5 stars for doing the right thing and helping me figure out the best course of action for my phone.

I had a first-rate experience dealing with this company. My laptop stopped functioning; the reviews…read morefor this company were encouraging. I called up and spoke to someone on the phone, and arranged to bring in the laptop for repair -- it sounded as if the solid-state drive was going to have to be replaced, certainly a drag but better than a new laptop. I confess it was a bit off-putting to come into an area hosting some 30 different companies and hand off a computer to a receptionist, even though that's what the voice on the phone had told me to do. But I was contacted even sooner than expected with word that the drive was fine, only windows would have to be reinstalled. Turns out that it was the famous Darrell Cephas, praised in review after review here; he explained what was going on. I was to go in to pick up the laptop the next afternoon. And damned if I didn;t get called out of a meeting following morning because Darrell was dropping off the laptop in person. All fixed. I give extra props because I next consulted him about maybe heloing with our desktop whose hard drive is running out of space. He quoted a price for that work, but very candidly said that the desktop is old enough that it really does not make sense to extricate the guts and install a whole new hard drive. He explained how I could supplement the memory on my own while looking for a new desktop. Recommending against paying work because it doesn't deserve to be done is the mark of a true professional. I don't give many five-star reviews, but I do for this one.

I had to prepare for work on Monday and couldn't afford to not have a phone. Luckily I had my laptop, so I clicked an Apple link to troubleshoot my issue and schedule a repair. Surprised to find that I couldn't even get support for my iPhone without logging in to my Apple account. I quickly logged in only to find that they required a text with a code on my phone. No other way to do it, since I don't have any other Apple devices. I went to Yelp! and looked up some repair places. This place like the others were fast to respond. I went with them because they had the best reviews and seemed like they had the most reputable work. Mohamed was easy to work with, prepared, and knowledgeable. He's straightforward on pricing and can explain the different price points. I decided to go for the highest end replacement screen (OEM Apple refurb). They include a screen protector at that price point. Driving there was tough only because street parking was hard to find and this is on a rainy Sunday morning/afternoon. I would recommend taking the Shaw/Howard metro instead. Literally a straight 2 blocks up the road. The repair happened right in front of me and was fast. Clearly Mohamed is experienced. He's also well mannered and treats clients like a human being which is more than what I can say for some other people running a business. Place was clean, put together, and easy to locate. Literally on corner of 7th street NW and Florida Ave NW. The repair cost me ($180) more than what others quoted me, but I chose the highest of 3 options he gave me ($90,$130, and $180). He even checked that everything worked and was not pushy or rude. Time will tell if this repair last but I'm literally typing this review from my phone; so far so good.

I went right back to real mobile repair and got my phone fixed for a quarter of the price.

Two of the five pads were also removed in the process. I reached out to a few businesses on Yelp to see if anyone can solder a new battery connector and the amount of people who tried to highball me was ridiculous. They tried to charge me the cost of a whole new motherboard. Gale, from GB Wireless, responded to me with a decent price so I drove over there the next morning they were open. Since it wasn't just a solder service but also him having to figure out where the ripped pads lead, I had to pay a little more but it was worth it. Gale was very friendly and was great at explaining what he would need to do. He gave me the estimate and said it would be ready the next day. A few hours later, I get a call saying he was able to fix it and my Switch is working perfectly. I appreciate service like this. As the customer, it just feels like they go above and beyond. I was so glad I didn't go to a mall kiosk because the last time this happened I had to pay nearly $200 to get a whole part replaced.
