Up front about pricing, they put thought into giving you the most value. Never had a service tech apologize up front for the cost of a repair... a couple of years ago they basically replaced my entire suspension (Chicago streets....) and service tech suggested to reduce the cost to only replace the worst components right now and delay some less critical components for 6 months because they could last a little longer. I asked him to just replace everything right now. But again, when's the last time a tech put thought into balancing cost vs value for you? Can't recommend the entire team at that garage, enough.

My exhaust pipe fell off/was dragging behind my car a couple years ago, came in to Davila, they said they had to replace the whole thing because it was too rusted to weld back on so I paid for (what I thought was) a new one for $1k. I recently went to a new mechanic because I now have an exhaust leak with a cracked y pipe. They just called to say my entire exhaust is made of old pieces all patchworked together, which was never discussed with me at Davila. Now I'm dropping $500 to fix. Never coming back.

I provided them with the information requested and was sent a text with the estimate. I then asked about the Costco 15% voucher and a time to bring the car in for repair. Their responds was I needed to bring the car in to the shop for a physical inspection to provide an accurate estimate. I brought the car to you on Friday May 14, 2026 asking for the estimate on the trailing arms and inquired about the dash board lights. They asked for 2 hours of time to prepare this. I received the estimate for the repairs along with an inspection report and quotes for 17 other "issues", I did not request an inspection of any kind. When I return to retrieve the car and finalize the repairs I ask a couple of question, first will they honor the Costco voucher and timing to have the repairs completed. Here are my challenges with the transaction, I had temporary access to these estimates and was locked out once I paid the fee of $81.00 ($77.,25 actual debit transition), your website states a free estimate but you charged me and then restricted my access. The garage has a deal with Costco to take 15% off the total bill but when asked I was told you would take 10% on part and 15% on labor. The texted estimate was $1610.00 prior to me asking about the Costco discount and the realtime estimate was $1750 as I recalling only being able to view it prior to lockout. Most concerning was your raid silent when I called to follow up on Saturday as requested by you, I called around 8:30 AM , followed up with a text at around 11 AM and another at 2:15 PM and as on this email there has been no response. The work has been completed by another garage and its is worth pointing out in this review it was completed at a cost of 1/2 what Logan Square Garage was going to charge me. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, it is a money grab.

When I got there, the U-Haul was in the parking lot and Ogden Automotive Center was closed (as expected). However, when I opened the app, it let me know that Ogden Automotive Center had not left any instructions at all on how to pick up the keys to the truck. After contacting U-Haul customer support, they let me know that there was nothing they could do to get me a truck from this location. Do not trust this shop. They completely misdiagnosed my AC issue and tried to charge me over $860…read morefor a new compressor that I did not need. I told the manager, Luis, that I suspected an electrical issue, but they jumped straight to the most expensive replacement. When I arrived to pick up the car, the AC still did not work, and the mechanic was still scrambling under the hood. They still took my money, only to admit the next day that they couldn't fix it. They left my car running for about 20 minutes with a radiator fan unplugged, telling me if they plugged it back in, the AC might stop working. This is dangerous and could have overheated my engine. I took my car to Cermak Automotive down the street instead. They diagnosed the vehicle for free in under an hour. It was just a faulty AC pressure switch. Luis later admitted his mechanic only checked the sensor with a multimeter, completely failing to test if it was actually reading system pressure. As you can see in my attached photo, the old sensor was heavily and visibly corroded. They completely missed this obvious visual cue and relied on a basic electrical test that didn't prove the part was actually working. I asked them to at least cover the small repair cost from the second shop since they completely misdiagnosed my car, but they refused. They are "parts-changers" who guess with your money rather than doing real diagnostic work. Avoid them at all costs.

Boltz Automotive read my post and reached out to me letting me know what time and day they would be available to look at my vehicle and do a diagnostic on my vehicle for $150 and let me know exactly what work needed to be done and the $150 would go towards the repairs if I decided to have service completed through them. I would say within 24 hours of making the appointment for the diagnostic to be performed on my car and actually bringing it into the shop to be serviced. My car was complete and ready to drive again. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed on my vehicle. As I proceeded to confirm all details the man started getting aggressive towards me. I just politely asked any questions he had but in the process he started to yell at me and the insurance lady. After that encounter, this place found my Facebook page and contacted me through Facebook and other avenues. This encounter is one of my top unprofessional encounters I've ever witnessed. They went so far as to contact me through a mutual acquaintance. I eventually had to change my number.
